Almondy Inn in Newport

My Wife and I needed a weekend away. This was the perfect place and great location. Could not ask for better host and breakfast was awesome. Walking distance to harbor , town and shops and only short ride to many attractions.

My husband and I LOVED the Almondy Inn! The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. The inn was clean, beautifully decorated, and very welcoming. Everything was great except for loud band on Friday night. Not sure where in neighborhood it came from but could hear in my room. We were tired enough that we fell asleep after half hour but just a heads up for those that can't handle noise. Owners very helpful.

Nice B&B very centrally located. Our suite was cute, though with an odd layout; had a little balcony which was nice. Proprietors very nice couple, outgoing, friendly and helpful.

This was such a great stay. Right in the center of town and convenient to walk everywhere. Very Clean and comfortable. She offered a scrumptious breakfast. I am very pleased with everything about this Bread and Breakfast. Thanks Evelyne!

The Almondy was a perfect choice for us. 1 Block from the wharf area of shopping, restaurants of many types, and the coast for a drink on the water or for chartering a sailboat ride. The inn was charming and exceptionally clean - Ms. Evelyn's breakfast was superb. If we get to Newport again, we'll be returning for sure!

We stayed for a long weekend at the Almondy Inn during the Newport Jazz Festival. The location was perfect, just across the street from the water taxis for the festival. We stayed in the smallest room which was adequate. However this room had a spectacular view of Newport Harbor. We loved The Almondy! Evelyn and Herbert were wonderful and gracious hosts...they even prepared a full-vegan breakfast for my husband on a moment's notice! Had a great stay at the Almondy Inn in Newport, R.I. Breakfast was outstanding. The Innkeeper was very knowlegeable and helpful. The location was great for convenience purposes, however you could hear a band playing on Friday and Saturday nights approx. 1/2 block away. Parking is a little tight when all rooms are rented. the Almondy Inn was an exceptional treat for myself and my daughter. the owner and staff were completely delightful and made sure we had the most comfortable stay. The breakfast's were delicious gourmet treats. The location was superb to all of the main attractions in Newport. I would highly recommend this Inn for all.

The Almondy Inn was lovely. The Sunset room is very small and uncomfortable. I would stay at the inn again, but not in that room. The inn keepers were attentive and the breakfast was delicious. I would recommend the inn. It is in a great location!!!!

Our first time at a bed and breakfast proved to be a wonderful experience! The innkeepers were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. We hope to return one day.

Great location. Only one block away from the main street/wharf area of Newport. Very clean room, and very quiet. We were in the Burgundy suite on the first floor. A good choice if you cannot do stairs. It was silent at night. No noise from the local tavern as described by other reviews and room locations. Beautiful Inn, spotless, comfortable bed, delicious home-cooked breakfast . Owner if the Inn was warm and friendly. Location was ideal. Would stay here again on our next visit to Newport.

The Almondy Inn is a beautiful B&B in Newport. The inkeeper was very nice and served a great breakfast. The room was spotless and comfortable. There was one major problem which was no fault of the Inn. It is located one block from the main entertainment area. We were there on Memorial weekend and there was very loud music from a bar across the alley […] until 1 am. I think this would not be a problem most of the time, but it could be the same on any summer weekend. Lees meer

My boyfriend and I stayed here a mini vacation. We stayed in the blue bay room which was great, the bed is very comfortable and the jetted tub was great. The innkeeper was extremely nice and helpful and it was overall a positive bed and breakfast experience.

I can tell you that my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the excellence in every aspect of our stay at the Almondy Inn. They have thought of EVERYTHING from comfort to safety and everything in between... The location could not be any better as we really did not even need our car which was safely parked in their on-site parking. The owners of the Almondy Inn have been very gracious and accommodating. A great location for access to a variety of amenities offered at Newport's historic hill and wharfs. Breakfasts have been great and very hearty. The room was quite comfortable for nights, but not for rainy days due to its somewhat small size.

This was our first visit to this B & B where we stayed for three nights and we loved it. The Innkeeper was very hospitable and accomodating. The inn is a charming 1890 circa house within walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding, personally cooked up by the innkeeper. […] There was a wine and cheese reception each evening where we met other guests. We can't say enough good things about this inn. We highly recommend it and will stay there on our future visits to Newport. Lees meer

Sehr schönes, helles Zimmer mit viel Ambiente inmitten der historischen Altstadt und mit wenigen Schritten zum Hafen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Betreiberin, die am späteren Nachmittag einen Apero mit Käse serviert und morgens mit einem sehr reichhaltigen Frühstück verwöhnt. Klein und gemütlich, sauber, ideal gelegen, super Frühstück, kostenloses Parken. Das Frühstück an einem Tisch mit allen Gästen war zusätzlich sehr nett und unterhaltsam. Dabei wurden, vom Innkeeper unterstützt, zusätzliche Tipps zum Kennenlernen von Newport ausgetauscht.
