Steps from Waverly Station - the Waverly Hotel was a perfect choice for exploring the city. The room was tiny and a bit awkward to navigate. The bathroom was clean and looked recently redone. I was pleased with my stay at the Harrington Ct Apt. The idea of having a small kitchen certainly broke the monotony of having to eat out every meal. Room was large, but not well maintained in the little things... non-smoking room smelled of smoke,damaged tiles in the elevator, fixtures loose, ran out of hot water one morning, carpet frayed etc... However! could not have a better location. We would gladly stay there again. It is not a four star except for the space and location.

Awful - worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Complained about extremely noisy neighbours, and had no help from staff. Had to check out early in the end, and am still waiting for a refund!!! Room smells of stale tobaco - much better accommodation available nearby for a better price.

For the first two days, we had no television and was promised that it would be resolved. Each day/night, the receptionist would pass the message on to have it fixed, but there was always something lost in translation from night to night. On the third day, we walked into the apartment with the tv blaring. Unfortunately, during the changing of the sheets […] they managed to remove several items. The most important of which was my son's stuffed animal. Even though it was never taken off site for laundry that day, it was not found. When I asked to speak with a manager each morning, the response was that the manager would not be in until after noon and when I did return early, the manager had left early. That access was part of the reason we selected Harrington based on easy access to Heathrow. Problem was the Tube does not run early enough to catch our early international flights. the hotel lovation was good and the reception was very helpful. Specifically Liliane. the room itself is very comfortable however it surely needs renovation which the current management seems to overlook. we had a curtain fallen, and so many of the light bulbs burned and not changed. We loved the location. The bathroom and kitchen were extremely clean as were the linens. The carpeting was a bit stained and wasn't pleasing to see but in the end, we felt that it wasn't dirty, just stained. No problems with the internet and we had great service. Amazing location! Steps away from the South Ken tube. Neighbors with tons of shops, cafes, & a no commission currency exchange. There’s 24/7 front desk & daily housekeeping. Our apt had a large balcony, but it looked into brick buildings (kind of a West Side Story feel). The modernized apt was relatively spacious considering it's in the city. The bed […] was comfortable & the shower’s water pressure was great! We loved having the kitchenette. I didn’t notice noise from the Harrington Club, which I had read in other posts, so maybe that was resolved since then. My only drawbacks were that there wasn't a good vanity area to do makeup where the light shines on your face, the bathrooms use a different electrical outlet than the rest of the apt (which is common in older London homes (the front desk loaned me a converter); our heated towel rack was broken but this was an unexpected luxury to begin with; the hallways and carpets need updating; and it would be helpful for them to include a "welcome" sheet in the rooms like hotels do that educates guests how to dial out on the phone, turn on/off the heated bathroom floors, things in the area to see/do, etc. The front desk was very helpful in addressing our questions, however. I recommend Harrington Apartments to anyone wanting to stay in the area okay with a non-hotel option (i.e. no concierge, hotel fitness center, etc). It's low-frills, a great price, an amazing location, managed by people who care that you're happy with your stay. Lees meer

Do not stay at this hotel. Since three of us were staying in a room we needed a cot to sleep on and unfortunately the second day I sat on the cot, it collapsed without warning. To my dismay, the hotel manager wanted to charge me 90 pounds for the bed, but this was disputed and I did not have to pay. I was very shocked that they wanted to charge me for […] a bed that collapsed just by sitting down on it. The cot was very "rickety" and old and when I got another cot to sleep on, it was much more sturdy. The hotel staff at the front even claimed that it was a brand new cot that I received in my room! I had to come back to the hotel on my own time in order to talk to the manager as well, which is not something that I should have to do on a holiday! They were not even concerned about my safety and that I could have been injured by that bed! They were only concerned about "milking" the guests of the hotel of all their money. Lees meer

Window opened onto filthy backyard of neighbouring building. Balcony linked two apartments so couldn't leave window open at night. No bedside lights. Our second visit to these generally well run and very well located apartments found them a bit shabbier than last time - but certainly clean and comfortable

This apartment hotel is in a great location (lots of restaurants, stores etc. in area; only 1 block from South Kensington tube; taxis and buses right outside the door; close to Natural History Museum, V&A, and Albert Hall) and the amenities for a trip of any length are perfect--comfortable bed; in-room safe; full kitchen; dishwasher; washer/dryer in […] unit, lots of convenient electrical outlets (including one 110 outlet that accepted US plugs in the bathroom); elevator. Everything was cleaned daily by a cheerful staff. We chose the apartments because of the excellent location. the tube is across the street and there are several cafes and restaurants close by. the rooms were clean and quiet. the staff was friendly and fast. we had no problems at all and would definitely go back.

I stayed here with a friend for one night. Young lady at front desk was polite and helpful. Upgraded us to a larger apartment. View was great, room was incredible. Very spacious and clean. Couldn't of been happier. Then we left to go to Royal Albert Hall for the evening. It took 15 minutes and was very easy to find. Pros: Good location, just a few steps from South Kensington underground stop; kitchenette; good maid service; relatively spacious room. Cons: Room was not well-maintained: hole in bathroom ceiling; towel warmer and safe didn't work; street can be noisy. This hotel has an excellent location in a safe, afluent neighborhood that has the feel of a French micro-culture. It's next to the tube, busses, a wide variety of restaurants and pubs, three major museums, and Kensington Park is close enough to go for a jog, too. You can shop at a local Tesco to keep food in your room or keep left overs from take away […] meals (refridgerator, freezer, sink, dishes, silverware, even a laundry machine, too). Most nights there was subtle outside noise, typical for a city. We stayed with a family of 5 (children ages 9, 10 and 14) on the third floor and the kids loved it. Separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large flat screen TV was excellent. Some reviews described a nighclub on first floor making noise. We stay Sunday to Friday and only heard a soft noise from it on Thursday night, not a problem. Instead, a large party in a private apartment woke us that night, but police/complaint must have stopped it. Two out of 5 of us felt the beds felt less comfortable towards the end of the vacation. Had a good two week stay here, was really close to necessities and about 15 minutes from the heart of London by Tube, and it takes less than a minute to walk to the local station. The room was quite good and clean and all in all it was a nice place to stay

Very expensive apartment, spacious and great location near south Kensington station. Rooms run down and need of facelift. Kitchn was not well equipped at all for cooking, not even a grater, peeler or chopping board! Would not recommend these apartments. Very disappointing for the money we paid.

Overall pretty good rooms but, even though the staff were very friendly, they had ZERO local knowledge. The rooms were fairly recently renovated but the laminate floors were already starting to move, so I'm not sure how long before things start to look pretty shabby. Location is excellent.

The location of the apartments very good, handy for the tube, local shopping and restaurants. Apartments were cleaned daily, had plenty of space and staff were very helpful. However a couple of hitches - The first 2 bedroom apartment we were offered smelt heavily of smoke (despite the booking clearly stating non smoking), after complaining were offered […] another apartment which was fine. Just returned from a 5 night stay at Harrington Ct. Excellent location, just steps from the South Kensington underground station with the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines. Great neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, just adjacent to the musuems. We were in a 2 bdrm apt on the top floor. Very spacious (esp by London standards) with 2 updated […] bathrooms and a rather large, well-equipped kitchen. Not a five-star hotel, however, for the cost, I don't think you can find anything in such a location with such a large space. Just returned from a week long stay at Harrington Court. We had four adults and a 20 month old baby. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay. The location was fantastic, very close to the T stop convinient to all the top attractions. There is a small Tesco store 2 blocks away to pick up some quick grocery. The hotel itself, the service was great. […] The baby cot was ready when we arrived, which has not been the case in the other places we stayed in the past. The apartment was big, especially our bedroom. We even had a small balcony! The only drawback to the hotel stay was apparently there is a night club next door. The first night (Saturday) we arrived, the music was so loud, we couldn't sleep until 2am! Was also disappointed with size and facilities of the 'large studio apartment' - no washing machine etc and small, so if you want a bit of space you need to go to the 1 bedroom apartment.
