We were there for a convenference at the Lancaster Host and I was so happy to be able to just get away from all the fast paced activities and go back to our hotel Holiday Inn Express at the Rock-vale Outlets for some peace, quiet, nice hot shower and comforting sleeping quarters. I would definitely go back there when I re-visit Lancaster and I suggest […] that you do to. They have an outdoor pool that looked awesome but closed for the winter. So the only thing I would to see different is an INDOOR pool/jacuzzi, then it would be 100% complete! Lees meer

This hotel has been remodeled and is such a nice, comfortable place to stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. Very nice breakfast and coffee all day long. We stay there everytime we go up into that area.

My Stay was great!!! However we didn't have any "HOT" water in the bath tub.. I wanted to take a bath but didn't have any hot water in the tub.. Had plenty in the sink however...Everything else was "GREAT"

We had trouble with some of the lighting in both rooms that our party occupied for one night

the clerks were very helpful with directions

I was visiting Lancaster, PA for a concert at a nearby theatre. I was very impressed with the location of the hotel with regard to the theatre and the outlets. The room wasn't in bad shape. The beds were comfortable. The part that gave my room a low rating is the musty smell when the air conditioner was turned on and the mold in the bathroom. I am not […] sure if those conditions were exclusive to our room but I would definitely give this hotel a second chance, if I was ever to be in Lancaster again. Lees meer

I lovethis hotel because it is close to shopping, food, entertainment and on the main roadway.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The environment was clean and well kept. We stayed there and went to get dinner at Olive garden which is in the same parking lot. very convenient location. Right on Rt 30 in Lancaster. The hotel room had a nice refrigerator and microwave that made it easy to have food to eat in the room without hassle of bringing […] an ice chest. Also the vending machines were full and had great variety. Even ibuprofen that I had forgotten to bring and ended up needing. Nice place. Great staff. highly recommended. Lots of food places in rock vale square as well that give you options for meals without going anywhere. definitely looking forward to going back soon! Lees meer

The best thing about this hotel was the location, followed by the free breakfast. The towels were kind of worn out and ratty and there was a huge disgusting stain on one of the sheets. Check-in and check out was efficient. Very reasonable price. I would stay there again if my main goal was to save money and be within walking distance of the outlets. […] Otherwise I would probably stay somewhere a little nicer. Lees meer

The hotel is difficult to find, because it's in an outlet mall. I called the front desk for directions, but still got lost. When I called the second time, the front desk clerk started yelling at me on the phone, saying I went the wrong way. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. I looked everywhere and said "Hello" loudly, […] but there was no answer. Then the phone rang, and rang - still no one. 10 minutes went by, and the line behind us began to grow. The phone continued to ring - but still no one came to the front desk. 20 minutes passed, and still no one. The line behind us grew, and there were now six couples behind us waiting. The phone continued to ring. 30 minutes later, the guy came. He didn't apologize, and complained that he had to clean the pool area. Our room was quite far from the lobby, and we had to put our luggage back in the car and drive to the room. So a month later, when I got my credit card bill, I found that they had charged me for the room, even though I paid through Hotels.com. I called the hotel, and didn't get an apology, only that their computer system went down, and they didn't know who paid, so they charged everyone. They said it would take 3 to 5 business days before I'd see the credit on my credit card bill. So 5 days later I called the credit card company, and discovered that the hotel charged me another 2 more times - a total of 3 extra charges!!! Eventually I was credited back the total amount that was overcharged. THIS WAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER HAD AT A HOTEL. IF YOU STAY HERE, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT, AND DON'T EXPECT AN APOLOGY!! Lees meer

Check in is 4 pm for this hotel. Our room wasn't ready until 6:30 pm.. Apparently, housekeeping was behind. This was a true inconvenience for us and the many many people standing in line to get into their rooms.

It was a nice room, however they gave us a handicap room and my 2 year old was able to open the door and hit all the light switches. It also made it hard for my husband who is 6ft to take a shower. But other then that it was a nice room. I was also nice to beable to have the outlets right in walking distance.

Walking distance to the outlet stores, although we needed the car to bring all of our purchases back. Within 5 minutes from Good and Plenty and 10 minutes from Plain and Fancy restaurants.

Hotel was a perfect location for us, continental breakfast was great. The TV didn't work so well so that could be upgraded but other than that great hotel for the price. Would go back again.

I have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express and have been satisfied, but this hotel seemed to be opposite. The room wasn't very clean and our phone didn't even work. The staff was not rude by all means, just not friendly. There were several of us so we had rented a couple rooms and one of the rooms we rented, was actually occupied. We walked in on someone […] in their room. We were given another room but the next morning received a bill under our door and we had already paid upfront. Although there is a non-smoking policy in hotels; our 2 rooms reeked of smoke, and we saw a cigarette butt in the hallway. The rooms were stuffy and hard to get any air to circulate. Overall, the staff were nice, hotel close to popular sites.

We were very pleased with our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Room was very clean. All areas were also very clean and neat. Breakfast was very nice. Close to everything in Lancaster PA. Price was very reasonable. Would recommend to others readily

Wonderful staff, nice rooms and breakfast. but had to chase down things like sheets, blankets and pillows for the fold out couch and enough towels for 4 (towels, twice)

Our stay was great! Family of four... booked a king room with the sofa bed option. The bathroom was a tad cramped- but other than that, we had a lovely 4 night stay. The hotel is clean. The staff were all very friendly. We loved having the self service washer and dryer available. (it costs $3 for the washer and dryer-total. plus $1 for laundry soap.) […] The daily breakfast was just fine for the 4 of us to start our day off right! fruit, muffins, bagels, english muffins... various oatmeals and grits... orange juice, water, coffee available... they even had a pancake machine! every morning they offered a different hot food option... such as cheese omelets, or sausage, or surprisingly crispy bacon! The hotel is also right next to an outlet mall and a bunch of restaurants. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone! Lees meer

This is a great hotel to stay at. We have stayed at this location twice in the last several months. The rooms are gorgeous and remodeled and they have the best breakfast. Highly recommend and it doesn't hurt that it is right in the middle of the outlets.

the first night towels etc. were in the room but then we always had to ask for them. we have stayed here before and those things were in the room. so don't know what happened.

We had a great experience, the Hotel front desk clerk at check-in was so nice, check-in was fast and easy, the room was lovely. And WOW do you certainly put on a Fabulous Breakfast. I would recommend Holiday Inn Express to any and everyone.

Seemed overpriiced for the quality. Breakfast was excellent and if shopping the outlets is your goal this would be a great place to base out of.

the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel room comfortable and clean and was very convenient to find and get in and out of. The location was great for shopping and what ever else someone would like to do.

Loved the location. Hated the breakfast. Was the worst breakfast I've ever gotten at a hotel. Even the hard boiled eggs were overcooked and not eatble.

location was great, staff was fine, good attention was given to breakfast area, everything in order and constantly being cleaned and supplied, the only negative we had during our stay was that the television had a sound problem, like the speaker had been blown, therefore it was very hard to hear without turning up the sound to an uncomfortable level... […] we did not want to disturb other guests so we left it down and tried to understand... we notified the staff in the morning and they said they would tend to it right away. The hotel was clean and bright. It was right in the Rockville Outlet complex and we enjoyed that. The hotel offered a 20% discount on purchases at my wife’s favorite store Jones NY. Finally the girl at the front desk was courteous and helpful, if you are a shopping outlet customer this is the place to stay. We recommended it.

We have always wanted to stay at this Hotel, its right in the heart of all the great things to see and do in Lancaster area. Great shopping and close to eat at our favorite Shadey Maple Smorgasbord. Although it could use some updating it was a great stay. We were comfortable and relaxed, fabulous breakfast and best shower in any place we have ever stayed. […] Will definitely stay here again. This was a clean and friendly hotel. It's at a great location for outlet shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
