Arrived mid-evening and received little in information such as complimentary breakfast was no longer offered (had read a dicussion in the reviews about breakfast so assumed it was offered). We also found out the second evening after it was almost entirely booked that a special Easter brunch was being offered. Other than those issues the hotel is elegant […] and relaxing. Old Inn feel with everything modern. Nice bar, nice restaurant, fast internet, fast check in. Lovely rooms that provide you with earplugs. I thought I might need them as the building was older and . . . you know, creaky floors, loud plumbing. . . but nope. All quiet. Just a nice extra consideration. A+

The room and the food were excellent. Don't try parking in the lot during Happy Hour. The locals think this is the best place for Happy Hour. Good drinks-good service. Comfortable rooms.

A lovely hotel. I've always loved the rooms, very cozy and modern at the same time.

Expected more out of free breakfast...Water cold for tea..bagels and cold cereal...For the price of the hotel I would expect waffle maker scramble eggs. I have been at cheaper hotels and received better breakfasts.

The Majestic Hotel in Anacortes is the only place to stay. It's on the site of an old hotel that burned down. They have re-built with the same character of the old hotel, but with modern fixtures and furnishings. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The dining room is lovely and the bar is comfy and warm. We have stayed here several times and this was […] the first time we had a problem. Specifically, the housekeeping was not prompt (5:00pm one day - after we called the front desk). The staff at the Majestic was very welcoming and helpful! Our first impression was great:-) The hotel is beautiful and historic but still has modern updates! Our room had a view of the water and the town! The room was clean and warm and had everything we needed! WE loved our stay at the Majestic!

The Majestic is an older hotel superbly refurnished and appointed though NOT Soundproofed in any way. We were bothered by normal noises coming from other rooms and bathrooms. The Staff and food were superb!

summed up in one word - charming!

Staff was friendly. Bar area was nice and comfortable. Only suggestion would be for the hotel would be to get a little firmer beds. Thanks for the great experience.

This is a very old hotel with a very old smell. There was at least a month or 2 worth of dust on the room shutters. The pillows were small and uncomfortable. The sheets were old and cheap. The room was very noisey and when we asked for a quieter room, we were told that any other room would be noiser. Manager Tim was very unhelpful. TripAdvisor warned […] about this place but I didn't listen and am very sorry. The only thing good about this dump was the spa which was owned and run independently. The hotel was very nice and quiet. We had a great view of the San Juan Islands from the room. Ate dinner there and it was fantastic. Would recommend a stay to anyone. Thank you.

We just needed a place to stay to take the ferry early in the morning, but what we got was a luxurious night with a fabulous dinner downstairs.

Noisy from street traffic, but on 4th floor and windows closed, it was fine.

Great location right in downtown area, well maintained hotel with very friendly and helpful staff and am definitely planning on returning with the family. As an aside, my wife accidentally left her wedding rings in the room and the the staff went out of their way in ensuring their safekeeping until we could retreive.

The Majestic is a nicely restored old building. It did look as though some of the renovations were still in progress, but I suspect for something that old, that is likely an on-going process. The overall impression was very nicely updated and comfortable. One must keep in mind in staying there that it IS old, thus noisier (plumbing, hall door closings, […] etc.) than one finds in newer accommodations. A garden and adjacent dining area would make a wonderful wedding site, though the night we stayed, there was a summer concert held in the garden area, a fun event. As highly as I recommend the hotel, and I certainly do, I suggest going to one of the other fine restaurants in Anacortes. To be sure, it could have been an off night for The 5th Street Bistro contained within the hotel, since the chef was presiding over a BBQ grill in the garden servicing the attendees of the concert. Perhaps the kitchen staff was short-handed. Nonetheless, I found the food merely adequate and my husband's dinner less so. My rating is, therefore, for the hotel but not the restaurant, which on the night we were there would have earned only a scant three stars. Lees meer

Understandably, the room had no AC. But it cooled down nicely with the breeze through open windows. Terriffic complimentary breakfast.

We stayed Sunday night which wasnt a busy weekend but the staff were very friendly and accomodating esp since I needed to check in a couple hours early. I lost a rom key card and they were very nice about that also. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere too. We just wished the spa was open on Mondays and the road noise was loud on the street side but […] they provide earplugs and its worth it for the location- thank you Lees meer

Convenient location to catch the early morning ferry. Otherwise don't feel it deserves 4 star rating. Can hear people in next room. Opened window to cool off room. Breakfast not that great. Opens at 7 a.m. which is cutting it close as you are supposed to be at the ferry at 7:30 a.m. for 8:30 a.m. departure. It is a smaller older hotel. It is okay, but […] I don't think it is good value. When we arrived the front desk person was on the phone and didn't acknowledge me or seem to be in any hurry to serve me. Lees meer

Great staff and location and wonderful breakfast. We would stay here again.

Staff was friendly and attentive. The continental breakfast was very good. We selected the location due to the proximity to the Skagit County Tulip Festival. Many local dining options and shopping. We would definitely stay there again.

I spent 3 nights at the Majestic in April 2011 and I found everything to be in perfect order. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the view from my room was stunning. Food at the restaurant ranges from good to excellent, depending on the dish. This hotel was fabulous. My friend and I came for a girls weekend. We started at the Spa having massages and let me tell you It was WONDERFUL!!! I will definately be back!

The person behind the desk when we signed in was rude, unhelpful and generally surly. On the 24th our room wasn't cleaned until we asked twice and then toiletries were not replaced. The same occured on Christmas day. In the info provided by the hotel it says the dining room is open. It's not. They claim to have HBO. They don't. The only highlight was […] the young waitress we had on the evening of the 23rd. It's too bad. We have a dying family member who Lives in Anacortes and we will be needing to come and stay frequently over the next few months. But we won't be back to the Majestic. Lees meer

The staff is very friendly, and the inn has been well maintained. We liked being in the center of old Anacortes, where we could walk to several fun eating spots.
