it was excellent, the bed was wonderful!! and the Hotel so beautiful, and clean. A WONDERFUL experience!!

We only had 3 complaints with our stay. 1. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. 2. The power switch on the coffee maker was broken so therefore we were afraid to use it. 3. I am allergic to dust and there was quite a lot of it around the edges of the room. It looks as though they do not vacuum right up against the walls.

This was a great location for us. Daughter was visiting a friend at Roger Williams College, so was close enough to go back and forth to. Hotel staff were great, clean hotel, great location to get on to interstate. A little concerned about some of the attachments of shower piping, electrical outlets, but it seemed to have been redone. Was definitely […] clean and quiet. There is a mall nearby and eateries. We wanted seafood and were referred by hotel staff to a nearby family restaurant called Kents and it was absolutely delicious. The suite we stayed in gave us more than enough room for 3 adults and the divided area with an extra TV was a plus. The pool was small and temp was 82, hot tub was 103 but we had to hunt for towels. The breakfast in the morning was fine. We were looking at colleges so this hotel was perfect and had internet in the rooms, always a plus. Staff was friendly […] and helpful. very clean, decent breakfast, easy to get to from the highway, helps to have a little knowledge of the area when it comes to getting around or finding food. good location if you're visiting both the rhode island and massachuestts areas.

Nice hotel, beds were pretty comfortable and the continental breakfast was nice, even had a pancake maker! Only negative thing was that the indoor pool is too cold for swimming in.

The hotel was very convenient, very clean, and the staff was very helpful and responsive. The beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was decent for a buffet, The only thing was the heater was extremely noisy so I woke up every time it started! Because we were there for just one night visiting for the RWU family weekend, it worked out very well. It was a comfortable, clean hotel where everyone was very nice and helpful and close enough to the college.

Even on the top floor, the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors conversations. It looks beautiful, but will not allow you a good night's sleep.

This hotel is okay...for just a night. The walls were too thin, and we had to call down to see if the front desk could ask our neighbors to turn down their TV. It worked. The beds are so-so. Definitely not new-ish. We were on a non-smoking floor (I assume the entire place is non-smoking), but the hallways smelled like cigarettes. Not pleasant at all. […] The radio was too loud on the speakers throughout the hotel--why do hotels play the radio?! The commercials are incredibly obnoxious. I'm a business traveler and this time went to Ma to visit my family from Maryland. Take it from me, it's clean, located near Providence (at half the rates) and Fall River and can find nothing wrong with the hotel. The breakfast had fresh eggs, bacon and sausage pattys which were delicious plus many other items you'd enjoy. When I go back go Ma I will […] stay at the HIE again. Stayed here for a wedding that was in Bristol, RI. The hotel was very close and clean. The walls were a bit thin (I could faintly hear the tv from the room next door) but overall had a great stay. The b-fast was large and yummy.

overall, the hotel was nice, clean, and the people were friendly (a little strange, but that may be a culture thing). Overall, I have no complaints.

This Holiday Inn Express is conveniently situated between Newport, RI and Cape Cod and is a good stopping point if you are going between those locations. It's set back pretty far from the highway and in a relatively un-exciting location, so it really is a place to go all the way back to at night. You really don't leave it after you return to it - no […] shopping, nightlife, or good dining options in the immediate area. The room was very clean, comfortable, and the hotel seemed well maintained with nice staff. There was a warm breakfast (eggs and bacon!) and wi-fi access. For it's price I think this is a great option, however you can see the lower price reflected in things such as the thin walls, CRT TV, and popcorn ceilings. Lees meer

My wife, my 11-year-old granddaughter and I stayed at the hotel to get away from Hurricane Irene. The hotel was clean and, for our purposes, conveniently located. It isn't really near a lot of interesting sights, although it's not far from Aquidneck Island and Newport. It had a really nice free breakfast but no restaurant, although there are several […] to choose from within a few miles. The only issue I had was with the indoor pool. It had too much chlorine in it, which kind of made me woozy for much of the afternoon after using it. I'm sure it was because they had just treated it. It also had a small hot tub next to the pool. The room we had fit our needs, although it was a little tight quarters for the three of us, since we were spending the entire time inside the room. All in all, though a pleasant stay. The hotel was very clean and updated with beautiful decor. The pool and hot tub were nice and the workout room had 2 treadmills and one sitting cycling machine which were great! I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again as we have a child going to college in the area...

We had a very nice stay. The hotel and room were very clean and the breakfast was tasty! Good price and work the stay. We would come again.

Other than the fan not working in the bathroom, which created mold all over the ceiling it was a ok place to stay overnight. It is a fairly new hotel with a staff that was very nice.

The hotel elevator was dirty...not an exceptionally clean hotel. Pool was so small. The dining area was dark with no ambience. The receptionist was not helpful or gracious with help around the area. I would not recommend this hotel, but I did move to the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown.

The hotel as clean and teh staff were very friendly. The Bathroom was very well lighted and (I was told) excellent for applying makeup. Only complaint - minor -there were no luggage racks.

Convenient location for tourist spots-Battleship cove and Whaling Museum(a gem!). Appeared new and rooms were spacious and clean. Service friendly. Trouble finding a good restaurant for dinner.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The pool wasn't the biggest but was nice. Our only real issue was it was so cold because of the A/C, but that was a tiny issue that was easily solved in our room.

This was an overall decent hotel with a decent breakfast. Only complaints during my stay was that the indoor pool was out of order, not a big deal..wasn't there to use the pool. Fan did not work in our bathroom and the tub faucet seemed about ready to fall off every time we pulled up the nob to turn the shower on. One thing I would not recommend is […] for light sleepers to be on the first floor if given a choice when you check in. We were 2 doors down from housekeeping laundry room and ice machine. Either our neighbor next door was filling up their cooler or it had something to do with breakfast prep but the door slammed and the ice machine were used no less than 15+ times at around 6ish in the morning. Also, the floors seem really thin and I could hear every door slam shut in the place. Lees meer

We stayed here because it was close to a family event. It is new and fine, the breakfast buffet was good and the room clean and comfortable.

Only modern hotel in the area. Convenient to our family, clean and good continental breakfast each morning. Staff was kind and courteous. Internet service was appreciated. It fit our needs, since we were out most of the time.

Was in town for college graduation in Providence and this was the closest hotel available. Not what I expected at all - was pleasantly surprised with the large room and cleanliness of the hotel. Even though it was a short drive - it was well worth it. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was only there for one night. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The indoor pool was very nice and warm. My only complaint is that the hot tub jets were not in working order. I will definitely stay here again.

We were visiting relatives in Barrington, RI. It was very convenient. I was impressed at how clean the hotel was. The front desk people were very nice and friendly at check in. Our stay was very nice. Excellent breakfast, good looking rooms, etc. Bedding was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom cleanliness was less than perfect. Some mold was noticed towards the ceiling in the shower stall which is odd for a 3-year old hotel. Some fixtures seemed a little on the cheap side. All in all a great hotel. This is an excellent alternative to the very expensive hotels in Newport. Located 25 minutes from downtown with a friendly staff it's only drawback is the aforementioned thin walls. We could clearly hear the people in the next room's conversation. You could even hear them shift position in bed [now that's thin walls.]

We picked it to visit Newport without the high Newport hotel rates. It was a little further than we expected. Inn is a newer one and well taken care of. Desk clerk was very helpful in suggestions for dinner. Breakfast at the hotel is one of the more complete. Overall, a good choice.

A beautiful 100 % smoke free hotel. It has nice clean rooms and very ample breakfast choices. We will come again on our next vacation stay. Just know that soundproofing is a concern. You may want to take along some ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones to ensure a good night rest.

Everything about this hotel was good except for the fact that I could hear everything the people above us were doing in their room. I heard them constantly walking around, running the water, flushing the toilet etc. Very poor sleep experience due to that.
