Our room was huge and the hotel felt very clean and new. It's not quite in downtown though. A great place to stay!

Very quite, we would stay there again.

Hotel was very close to downtown area and attractions. Hotel very clean and staff nice. will stay here again

The hotel was nice, convenient. However the mattress left a lot to be desired. Hardest mattress I have ever slept on. Would not advise to spend a night here.

The shower didn't work....lol like I would turn on the water and couldnt turn it off haha I could of drowned.

Close to downtown and places to eat. Very clean and nice place to stay. We thought the beds were a little hard- but that is the worst I can say.

The hotel has a moldy smell throughout. The beds were hard and comfortable along with the lumpy pillows they provided. The staff was not the friendliest and the hotel was difficult to find initially. Great location.

Holiday Inn, Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC, afforded a very comfortable, quiet two nights sleep. We did not take advantage of other amnenities but were pleased with our stay and would stay there again.

Located right in downtown. Clean, comfortable, quiet; haven't seen this good a deal in a long time.

This hotel had a nice room but the lady at the desk when we came in was very rude. Did not want to help us at all. Should have read previous reviews because others are saying the same. The room was fine though.

This hotel is not exactly in downtown Asheville, the entrance is confusing and one night they didn't have enough parking spaces. Other than that, I had a great time visiting Asheville and the hotel was great.

The room was clean, although thr bed was quite hard. My wife and i had trouble sleeping on it. the hotel was only a few minutes away from the Biltmore, and has a Cracker Barrel and an Outback in the ajoining parking lot. Overall we had a good experence

This hotel has very spacious and comfortable rooms. Great locaion because easy to access downtown and major interstates. Close to shopping center. I'll be sure to stay again!

Me and my wife have stayed here a few times and will continue to stay here when we come to town. The hotel is real convienent to downtown and other place. The rooms are comfy and clean every time we come here. It is deffinately a nice place to stay when u come to Asheville.

Was very please with the room and the cleaness of the room.Everything we did was within 15 mins. of the hotel.Would be more than happy to stay again

Just a quick tunnel drive from Asheville's downtown, this hotel met all our expectations. I would revisit when I have time to take advantage of the cool indoor/outdoor pool. The only drawback was that it was a bit difficult to find the entrance of the hotel through the parking lot of the restaurants in front.

This hotel's discription of being downtown is totally not correct. It stated within walking distance, but this is only if you want to walk through a bad neighborhood, under a tunnel through the mountain and another 2 miles to downtown Asheville. This was not what we expected at all. The front desk guy says" if the mountain wasn't there it would be downtown" […] to me when I complained. Very unhappy experience for us! Lees meer

Great room, very clean. Nice, helpful staff. Good location, easy to get to, easy to get around town from. Would stay here again. Good price.

A little tricky to find your first time through, but the rooms were nice, free wi-fi was a plus, had a nice bar and good food, and the staff was very helpful. Also had a pool that I didn't use. We stayed there for one night, but was impressed with cleaniness and pool. It was difficult to find the hotel entrance. It's located on a busy road and you have to drive through parking lots to get to it. It was located behind a motel that allowed people to live there. The tennents did not look too safe.

We spend a night here and the hotel was lovely, staff were very helpful. We had booked this as we thought it was within walking distance of town, however we were advised you couldn't really walk as you had to go through a tunnel. We got a taxi no problem but would have preferred to walk.

Overall the hotel is nice and is close to downtown and a wide range of dining options. The restaurant had good happy hour specials. The walls are a bit thin, so it was easy to hear loud neighbors.

hotel was fine, was a mile to downtown. That was the only drawback because parking isn't easy on the street but they do have municipal parking and it was fairly priced. Other than that the hotel was fine.

We needed a last minute hotel on the 4th of July weekend for just one night that was reasonably priced. After reviewing several other hotels we decided on the Holiday Inn in Downtown Asheville for its location, availability and price. The biggest disappointment was that it really isn't downtown. I would have preferred to be able to walk to downtown restaurants/shops. The hotel was clean and staff just fine. There is free parking, but the lot was packed. It is equi-distant from the downtown area and the mall, which ended up being convenient for us.

With "Downtown" in the hotel name, I would have expected it to be more downtown. My husband and I walked down Tunnel Rd. to the downtown area and it was a good 20+ minute walk and it seemed like an even longer walk on the way back. The view from our room was not very good. It looked out onto an apartment building that looked a little seedy. The room […] itself was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean too, which is always nice. The staff was courteous and polite. And on Tuesday nights, there is free food & drinks in the lounge! The bartenders we encountered on different nights were great. Overall, a good place to stay.
