Hotel Villa Guadalupe in Malaga

Om te beginnen is dit hotel snachts zonder navigatie en zonder bekend te zijn in Malaga erg last te vinden. Daarbij hadden wij een 2persoonsbed geboekt, echter dat kennen ze in dit hotel niet...Neen, 2 aparte bedden worden tegen elkaar geschoven en denk maar niet dat u licht genoeg bent om die niet uit elkaar te krijgen....Dit in tegenstelling tot wat […] men hier beweert.. Verder was de standaard kamer die wij hadden slechts voorzien van een klein raam, hierdoor had de kleine kamer meer weg van een gevangeniskamer. Tevens was het dekbed erg vies. Het zwembad was ook ronduit smerig (lees:simpelweg niet schoon gemaakt). Het ontbijt is tenslotte ook erg magertjes voor de prijs die men ervoor betaald. Allemaal kleine dingetjes dus die met een beetje meer inzet echt een ster extra waard zijn! Als positieve afsluiter; Ik zou hier best nog eens kunnen verblijven in de kamer die wij nadien hadden gekregen, tegen bijbetaling, maar dat komt puur en alleen door het geweldige gezelschap waar ik mij in bevond! erg goed hotel. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en enorm behulpzaam. Het restaurant is ook erg goed en heeft een prachtig uitzicht! Beetje jammer dat ze net aan het werk waren en van alle mooie uitzichten die het hotel biedt, was die van mij een muur... Toch heb ik het enorm fijn gehad!

Geweldig hotel,eigenaar spreekt Nederlands dus erg handig. Hotel is grandioos alleen 1 nadeel het hotel ligt boven op een berg en de weg er naar toe is bijna lopend niet te doen dus een auto is handig of natuurlijk een taxi. Mooie locatie, goed restaurant en vriendelijk personeel.

Wij zijn 1 nacht gebleven in Villa Guadalupe maar dat is te weinig geweest. Een heerlijk hotel met een goede uitstraling. Niet alleen het uitzicht was prachtig maar ook het eten was geweldig! Absolute aanrader

2 nachten verbleven tijdens onze fly-drive door Andalusie. Het hotel is erg schoon, comfortabel en beschikt over een geweldig restaurant. Restaurant is wel wat prijziger dan een tapas bar, maar voor de hotelgasten is er een 3 gangen dagmenu voor EUR20 beschikbaar. Zeker een aanrader.

Great views of Malaga, 20 minutes or less from pretty much anywhere. Best thing was the restaurant in the hotel. I was surprised at the quality variety and freshness of all the cooking.

As long as you have a car, this is a great location. Nice view to the water and had a great balcony for you to relax and enjoy your afternoon/evening from. The dinner was excellent, especially the desserts!

The views are courtesy of being located at the top of a hill, which does mean a car is by far the best way to get there. Local buses are not too far away but then there is the hill to climb on the way back. The restaurant has superb views over the city and you will enjoy quality food at lunch or dinner.

We had a room with magnificent views of Malaga, from its large terrace. The room itself was very spacious, in a mint condition. Dining in its restaurant was really a treat. The food is very exquisite, prepared by a chef, and with the views in the background, it's really an experience. We were traveling with a car, so the location of the hotel was not […] a problem. If this is your first time in Malaga, unless you have a car and you can find your way around Malaga even with its terrible signage, and you do not care to drive to go into town evenings... do not choose this hotel. It is charming, yes, but that did not make up for all the time lost looking for our way around, to-and-back. The place is more a restaurant […] than a hotel. Though you need a car the hotel once you were local was well sign posted up the hill Views were great rooms clean with terrace we found our host superb very helpful and providing the hotel with a friendly feel we had the set menu 1 night it was excellent as was the wine we enjoyed and would recommend hotel villa guadalupe Did find malaga roading network […] problematic with major roadworks for new underground rail Lees meer

This is really a villa turned into a hotel. It is very far from town and the uphill drive is very hard. The A/C does not work or at least does not do anything. The only good thing about is the guy that runs the place. Our three person room was very small and hard to walk around the beds.

The Hotel is about 5km from the centre of Malaga with a lovely view overlooking the City. However it would seem the only way to get into the main part of Malaga is to drive or get a cab. The Hotel itself is lovely and has a very good restaurant. We had an excellent meal, but did not stay for breakfast.The room was well presented and clean and the staff, […] mostly American,were pleasent and helpful. We had a perfectly good one night stopover on the way back to London, my only reservations about the Guadalope would be concerning the slightly remote location from the centre of the city. Lees meer

Villa Guadalupe is located on the side of a mountain, overlooking Malaga and the Mediterranean beyond. Magnificent view. Beautiful patio (with space heaters if you need them) for outside dining, star gazing and fresh air. Amazing restaurant with price fixe menu and excellent value. Warm, personal service. We had a couple of mechanical issues in our […] room, but management responded instantly and upgraded us to an even lovelier room with our own terrace and beautiful view. Drawback is the location is isolated. You can't go out for a walk and check out the local scene because you're quite removed on a high peak. But once we got there, we didn't want to leave. The location is lovely but you do need a car. The front desk speaks English and most were very helpful. I ate in their dining room and was pleased with the meal. I definately woulf sty here agsin. The views are unforgettable.

Everything about this boutique hotel was wonderful...the food, the staff, and the location. The next time we are in Malaga, this will be the place we stay.

We enjoyed our stay> Everyone in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. the room that we had was just enormous and the views of Málaga both day and noght were spectacular. It was very conforatble and the food at the hotel was just delicious. The restaurant at the hotel has a very high standard and is very well known for the quality of the food, unfortunately […] it was a little pricey but very well worth it. The only thing about the stay we didn't like was the fact that the sheets are only changed once a week. We had a car but we think that you certainly need aone to get to the hotel. good tidy room , good size and great views from balcony

The Villa Guadelupe has much going for it and that makes it worth the challenge of getting to It as it is located in an area of designer built homes in a steep hilly area on the outskirts of the city. You wont be walking to it from the bus stop without quite a level of fitness, especially if you have baggage. The welcome is warm, it is beautifully laid […] out and there is quite an amount of art on display. The entrance was four flooors above our room ( neat, functional and with a small enclosed terrace) The buffet breakfast is really good and the dinner wine list also excellent ( both range and value). The dining room has an terrace and there are good views over the city. There is wi fi in the public areas and you can get an aromatherapy massage at the hotel. Small caveat is that the promotion of the restaurant would lead you to expect a better dining experience. It was not bad- and it was well priced, but it was also not what it suggested in would be in terms of haute cusine. Would return though and happily as we had a car so no struggle up the hill.. Hotel situado en un alto de la ciudad, trato del personal muy bueno, se come fenomenal y la terraza impresionante, recomendado para escapadas de fin de semana.

Hotellet låg väldigt vackert och servicen var utmärkt. Väldigt bra mat i restaurangen med kunnig personal. Stort rum med gott om plats. Enda negativa är att det var väldigt kallt på vårt rum.

Fuld valuta for pengene. dejlig restaurant med en pragtfuld udsigt over malaga. der er kun 4 værelser med balkon , spørg efter en af disse. taxa til lufthavnen , ca 20 euro

Hotellet ligger i udkanten af byen oppe på et bjerg, og der er en fantastisk udsigt over byen fra hotellets restaurant. Kokken på hotellet laver fantastisk god mad. Det bedste mad vi fik på vores 19 dages lange rundrejse i Andalusien.

Super dejligt hotel og restaurant, lever virkelig op til beskrivelsen. Nemt at komme til byen, kan kun anbefales videre.

Hotel Villa Guadalupe is a 3* Hotel, worthy of a 4* rating, we were looked after the moment we arrived by Alexander, and the fuss made over us at meals was touching. We will certainly return to this wonderful hotel.

Das Hotel liegt am Stadtrand oberhalb von Malaga in einer Wohsiedlung. Tolle Aussicht vom Hotel. Ruhig gelegen. Frühstück war einfach aber ausreichend (Kaffee top). Sehr eng am Frühstücksbuffet. Das Zimmer war leider nicht direkt im Hotel, sonder 50m in einem verwahlosen Einfamilienwohnhaus das nicht gerade sauber war. Das Zimmer (Betten, Bad) alt, […] aber zum Glück soweit sauber. Eine Küche die man von draußen durch das Fenster sah war stark verunreinigt, Müll und Schmutz das schon viel länger liegte. Wenn ich das schon vorher gesehen hätte, wären wir hier nicht geblieben. Anscheinend wird das günstige Angebot nur an diese Zimmer vermietet. Im Hotel direkt sind die Zimmer was ich sehen konnte recht gut ausgestattet. Aufgrund dieses Zimmers im verwahrlosten Nachbarhaus kann ich das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen. Ansonsten war die Lage des Hotel und das Personal für uns gut. Lees meer

Dans l'ensemble bon. Cependant, un peu avare en produit de douche (seulement le premier jour). Idem pour le papier toilette (parfois), Linges de douche petits et parfois effilés. Beaucoup de bruit, car chambres mal insonorisées et bruit des chaises sur carrelage, portes des chambres bruyantes. hotel sur les hauteur de Malaga, assez loin du centre (environ 8km). la vue est belle, hotel très calme loin de l'agitation. le confort de la chambre est convenable et surtout la chambre est insonorisée; le point faible : femme de chambre qui rentre les matins dans la chambre sans prévenir car le petit panneau "NE PAS DERANGER" n'existe pas.

Somos de Malaga y fuimos a visitar a la familia, quedandonos en este hotel y tenemoe que decir que las vistas desde la habitacion y la tranquilidad del hotel merecen un 10. el trato es bueno en general, las vistas impresionantes pero tiene un problema el fin de semana que si se celebra algun acontecimiento en el restaurante como (bodas,cenas etc ) nocturnas el ruido de musica etc es molesto. por lo demas todo ok

Sus magnificas vistas y la tranquilidad , así como el poder aparcar fácilmente.Tanto para vacaciones como por trabajo, es un lugar muy agradable.

Villa Guadalupe är härligt för en romantisk weekend. Det ligger en bit från centrala Malaga, men stadsbussen till och från centrum stannar i närheten och fungerar bra. Området är lugnt och mycket vackert med underbara trädgårdar. Från vårt rum och från restaurangen hade vi en fantastisk utsikt över staden och havet. Man kan förstås äta middag utan att […] bo där. Personalen var trevlig och väldigt hjälpsam, och talade bra engelska. Maten i restaurangen var härlig. Frukosten var inte överdådig men fullt tillfredsställande. Dejligt hotel med søde og hjælpsomme værter. Lidt vanskeligt at komme dertil, men hele besværet hver. Fantastisk udsigt. Det er nødvendigt at have et godt helbred, hvis man vil gå op til hotellet. Så vi vil anbefale at man kører derop i bil.

Excellent hôtel avec très belle vue sur Malaga. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Même si distant du centre ville puisue sur le côteau à env. 5 km, la vue et la tranquillité compensent l'éloignement. Très bon restaurant avec chef coté.

Hotellet ligger på en bakketop med udsigt over hele Malaga - meget smukt! Det er et fund til de penge. Vi er flittige hotel-brugere og har aldrig oplevet at få så meget "value for money". Tusind tak!

Wie im Internet zu sehen liegt das Hotel in ordentlicher Höhe. Dies aber nicht oberhalb von Malaga-Stadt, sondern in einem Vorort (Puerto de la Torre), von dem aus man in ca. 25 min in Malagas Zentrum fährt. Hinauf auf den Berg bzw. hinunter kommt man entweder zu Fuß (ca. 20 min.) oder mit dem Taxi (3.50 - 7,- €). Die Aussicht vom Hotel ist dafür klasse […] und man hat nach einem lauten Tag wirklich seine Ruhe. Es sei denn, man hat ein Zimmer mit Aussicht, dann hat man auch die Nacht hindurch vielfaches Hundebellen (reiche Wohngegend), oder man hat ein Zimmer auf eine ewige Baustelle (Balkon + Sicht versperrt mit grüner Netzplane). Dafür kaum Hundebellen, aber dafür ab 8.00 die Arbeiter. Die Ausstattung im Haupthaus ist sehr geschmack- und anspruchsvoll. Die Ausstattung des Frühstückbuffets räumlich wie inhaltlich eher knapp. Auf (ständige) Nachfrage wird aber alles nachgeliefert. Da die Buffetkraft anschließend auch für die Zimmer zuständig ist, blieb nur zu hoffen, dass die schwarzen Standardhemden vor dem nächsten Frühstück gewechselt wurden. Bei Unterbringung im Nebenhaus (Aussicht + Hundebellen) sollte man abends eine Taschenlampe mit sich führen, da die langen und unebenen Wege vollständig unbeleuchtet sind. Obwohl der neue tolle Wintergarten (ehemals Terrasse) wegen Renovierungsarbeiten (auch während des Frühstücks) nur an 2 Morgenen zu benutzen war und im eigentlichen Frühstücksraum geraucht werden durfte, hatten wir insgesamt für eine Woche einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Als Ältere waren wir im Nebenhaus untergebracht. Die sehr verwinkelten und unebenen Wege - zum Teil auf losen und unebenen Steinplatten oder / und Stufen - waren bei Dunkelheit ohne jegliche Beleuchtung zu bewältigen.
