Great place to stay in Sofia. Staff are great. Rooms are very nice. Location is great.

The rooms are huge.... the breakfast buffet is a great value and extensive, fresh.....the staff is fabulous-- they bent over backwards at our every request-- even appearing at our door in minutes to install a router in our room to improve our wifi strength when we let them know that we were not getting a good […] signal! Nice and clean hotel which is well located. Very friendly staff. Highly recommendable

we had to catch a taxi at 6 am to the airport, we got in it maybe 5 minutes late, and on the way to the airport, the hotel called the taxi driver, and asked him to remove the 'waiting' fee that had been added to our bill. it was a small fee, but the point is the hotel called up the taxi driver, to ask him to remove it. this service went beyond expectations, […] and we were very impressed Lees meer

Location is superb, rooms largest I have ever seen, and I am a seasoned business traveler. We were there with a toddler who loved running all over the room. I was nervous about staying there with my child but there was absolutely no reason to be. A toddler bed and all other comforts were provided upon request. View was beautiful, there is also a huge […] park behind the hotel, could not have been better. Only complaint is that the shower cabin was leaking and at times it would get wet around and slippery in the bathroom. I was on my own for the week-end in Sofia. Great place to spend it was the Grand Hotel Sofia - I felt safe and many options for things to do in the hotel re: restaurants, cafes, spa and also around hotel. Park for walking and tourist sites very close. Free internet access. I also got a great rate for the week-end. I would highly recommend.

This is a very nice hotel, very big rooms and well cleaned. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

good location, food, and a good spot to arrange business meetings. to recommend. Room rates are more than acceptable.

The rooms in this hotel were so large I actually got a little tired walking from the desk to the door of the room. Much larger than a normal U.S. hotel room, with a nice sitting area, and mammoth compared to most European hotel rooms. TV was too complicated and a bit small, especially for the size of the room. Huge windows made the TV less necessary. […] Front desk staff and bell captain were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is said to be in a building built to be a library, which could explain the wide hallways and large guest rooms. Location is good, but not ideal. An excellent hotel in very covenient location. Very helpful people at the reception desk. Very nice and large rooms with beautiful modern furniture. Very clean room and bathroom!

There are actually just three things to complain: 1.) The shower: It's impossible to adjust the temperature (it changes from hot to cold). 2.) In case you'll have a female company with you the "boys" at the lobby will give you a high surcharge which's not common in other luxary hotels in Sofia. 3.) Very nice hotel, but breakfast is a bit pricey (20 euros). The outdoor cafe is located in the park and great for people watching and catching the vibe of the city. Centrally located once checked in you can walk to almost all points of interest. If you want posh, this is the place. Personally I prefer things a bit more simple.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Sofia both at the beginning of our trip and at the end and it was a pleasurable experience on both occasions. The service and quality of the property are impeccable. The only qulification I would have is that the breakfast buffet is overpriced, but this is easily overcome by eating in the hotel cafe.

Fyra nätter varav den första var så varm att vi knappt sov i november!! Rum har inte individuell AC som det står på hemsidan. Det kom fram av bellboy att de kör rakt av 20c i hela hotellet. Det stämmer inte heller! I hotellet överallt är det mellan 24-28c och på rummet samma. Gick inte att sova. Vi klagade och inte ens en fläkt hade de. Dagen efter […] sökte vi upp hotellchefen som uppgraderade oss till nytt rum med terrass där vi kunde öppna dörr ut. Fr.o.m. dag två tog de hand om oss som kungar och vi kan inte klaga på något, tvärtom. Läget är superbt och man går till det mesta. SPA-avd. är ok, men inte superbra. Dock halva priset mot Sverige, så det är värt ett besök. Ganska kliniskt och inget mys. Nattklubben var stendöd på helgen. Utelivet på stan var dock pulserande. Prisläget överlag i Sofia med mat och dryck, samt klädfynd ute på gatan är under halva priset. Måste vara ett av de allra billigaste resmålen i hela Europa. Kvalitén på mat på stan pendlade mellan himmel och helvete. Vi prövade enklare hak som hade riktig skitmat, så satsa på bättre ställen. Det är värt det och fortfarande billigare än i Sverige. Shoppingcentren var många och hade spännande utbud. Flög med Aerosvit och mellanlandade i Kiev. Dyr flygplats med personal som stannat i mentalt i Sovjetstaten=noll service, barsk och vansinnigt ineffektiva. Dock intressant att uppleva. Slutsats: Välj detta hotell. I denna region är det svårt att hitta något som är bättre. VI var i slutändan mycket nöjda! Lees meer

Fantastisk hotel og helt fantastisk beliggenhed. Det reneste hotel vi nogensinde har boet på. Venligt og imødekommende personale. Fantastisk restaurant. Eneste lille minus er at belysningen på badeværelset er dårlig over spejlet. Men det vil bestemt ikke afholde os fra at besøge hotellet fremover.

Hotel a la hauteur de ses prestations, le service en chambre un peu laborieu( en bulgarie les déjeunées à la française sont très compliqués à avoir). Mais 5 étoiles très méritées pour cet hotel. A recommander sans soucis.

El Hotel es super comodo, lujoso, con estilo, bien atendido y muy bien ubicado. Los emmpleados son super educados y la atencion es excelente. Uno se siente comodo, cercano y familiar. En los hoteles de grandes cadenas uno no siente lo mismo.Las habitaciones son inmensas y los banos super comodos. Esta en el centro de los sitios mas turisticos de la […] ciudad. Detras del hotel hay una hermosa plaza con lugares para tomar cafe mientras hay exposiciones o festivales tipicos. De noche se puede salir a cenar cerca. The hotel was really nice and comfortable, the receptionist were also very helpful and kind. I will recommend this hotel as an excellent place to stay and the price is very affortable
