We had a great stay at this lovely little hotel. The welcome was very friendly, the reception staff were all very warm and patient when dealing with our many questions. The location is really good for the bars and restaurants, as well as being close to the fortress and the sea. The main Chania/Iraklion road is easy to get to as well. Our room was a […] good size with a very comfortable bed and everything we needed (including free wifi). A real plus is the courtyard, which is a lovely place to sit. Breakfast was also good and served until quite late in the morning. The hotel is in the pedestrianised part of town, which is good in terms of noise. Incredibly beautiful hotel! We stayed for three nights in January, and had a lovely time. The hotel is a beautiful, old, stone building, and the rooms are lovely with exposed stone and tasteful furnishings. Harissa was very wlecming and helped us with directions and phone calls to various businesses to help us with activities we wanted to do while in […] Crete. The breakfast was very nice. The strength of this place is its staff: calm, courteous, friendly, informative. Overall Casa Vitae is a lovely place, with well appointed rooms, gentle ambience, great breakfast. The only minor complaint is that the bed springs in my room squeaked, and the mattress wasnt very comfortable.

All rooms are individual in this lovely converted villa. Very quiet location. No overnight reception but adequate alternative arrangements.

Initially we had trouble finding the hotel since it is at the heart of the old town in Rethimnon. After that first hurdle, everything else was great. In fact, the fact that the hotel was in the old town with no automobile access added to its charm. The alley, in which the hotel is located was full of scented flowers including jasmines. Raving reviews and appealing pictures made me choose this hotel for a special celebration. As rooms in the main building were fully booked, I agreed to a standard room in the annex. I have stayed in many an annex and had fantastic rooms. Alas not so at Casa Vitae. Had I had a chance to see the room before booking (and paying) I would definitely have […] gone elsewhere. Whereas the facilities in and around the main building were so beautiful, how could room (B2 which measured less than 4 by 4 m) be so badly designed! No one should have to crawl into bed from the foot end. That the room lacked reading lights was not the worst, but the wet room was way, way too small with a shower head that was not fixed to the wall. Casa Vitae, how can it be a 4* hotel? What baffled me most, though, was a kitchenette! When there is no space for getting into bed the normal way, why install a kitchenette! With a cooker hood to boot, but no hob! Who needs a cooker hood in a hotel room! The bowl of fruit was no consolation. My advice to the management is: Stick to your main building, and do away with the annex. I am sure they are aware of this, because when checking out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay. We didn't, and it spoiled our celebration. Lees meer

The staff was very helpful with the areas sites. The breakfast that was served each morning was not only delicious but filling. The room was very tastefully and clean. The area that is was located in was full of very nice, polite and helpful people. The hotel is near allot of nightlife (i.e. bars and clubs) that do not open until after midnight. Very pleased to be given an upgrade when we arrived. Parked 5 minutes away, and walked easily to the hotel.

Spent 1 night here before returning home and would definitely recommend it...It is in very peaceful surroundings in the centre of the old town and is so convenient for everything. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the whole hotel had a really lovely feel to it. A real gem.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The service was great and the quality was top-notch. The only complaint we would have (and is mentioned in prior reviews) is that the steam showers are very cool looking, but highly impractical. There was no space to maneuver at all in the shower, so much so that it was nearly impossible to shave your legs or even […] wash your feet. Veldig hyggelig mottakelse av Maria, som straks viste villighet til å være hjelpsom. Gårdhagen er skikkelig vakker - akkurat som på bildene og rommet vårt likeså. Ganske stort rom også. Perfect quiet place in the center of old town. Close to all sight. 15 min walk to the beach. Clean and modern room. Excellent continental breakfast with national dishes on terrace. Very helpful staff.

Très belles prestations, personnel très avenant. Placé au centre de la vieille ville et au calme. Tout était parfait.

Casa Vitae hadde perfekt beliggenhet i gamle byn. Passer for deg som ikke er avhengig å ha strand rett ved. Ca 15 min å gå til stranden. Ligger i en stille sidegate og har en fantastisk koselig bygård der man spiser frokost. Arkitekturen og stemmningen på hotellet er utrolig skjønn. Vil anbefale alle å bo i den gamle delen av byn istedenfor ved stranden […] som ikke har den sjarmen i det hele tatt. Casa Vitae kan anbefales på det sterkeste! Lees meer

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse in der Altstadt. Es gibt viele Restaurants und kleine Läden in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Suite war einfach hervorragend und die ganze Atmosphäre ist sehr stimmig. Das Hotel sowie die Zimmer sind mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es ist wirklich eine Wohlfühloase. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist klein aber fein. Un service impeccable. Tres raffiné avec une situation perfaite dans la vieille ville. des chambres toutes neuves mais très soignées. Un eden à recommander.

Hotel bien situé dans le centre pietonnier. Legerement difficile à trouver le premier jour (= seule remarque negative sur cet hotel). Accueil, conseil, petit dejeuner, confort de la chambre et des parties communes : tres bon niveau. A conseiller à tous.

Vi bodde 2 netter på Casa Vitae, mai 10. Rommet var kjempefint (vi bodde på et av de dyreste rommene), lekkert bad med boblekar og malte engler i taket. Veldig komfortabel seng. Frokosten var forholdsvis enkel, men fullt ut godkjent, og det beste var at den ble inntatt på en veldig hyggelig og rolig gårdsplass. Virkelig egnet til å senke pulsen! Betjeningen […] var veldig hyggelige og blide. Hotellet ligger i en rolig gate i gamlebyen, med kort vei til restauranter og shopping. Litt langt unna stranden, så det kan være lurt å ha en leiebil. Det går ikke an å parkere ved hotellet, men jeg tror vi gikk max 300 meter fra parkeringsplassen. Dette er et hotell jeg gjerne bor på ved en senere anledning! Lees meer
