Coral Rock Hotel in Paje

SadlY the management of this hotel left a little to be desired. The general hotel staff were great, and the beach was beautiful. It just seemed to be run by a less than enthusiastic, largely absent set of senior staff that were definitely not 'on the ball'. Hotel has a lot of potential...but we'd give it a few years and see what happens.

This hotel has a dramatic location on a clifff overlooking the Indian Ocean where the change between low and high tides was amazing. The lounge chairs, hammocks and other seating was in the shade providing a delightful spot to read and relax. The restaurant served a variety of different cuisines all of which were well-prepared. Moreover, some of the amenities such as shampoo and lotions were missing, but could not be purchased due to the lack of shops nearby. This is a beautiful and scenic location though slightly far off from the city. The rooms overlook the ocean and it quite breathtaking. I had a very comfortable stay. The rooms are nice and comfy except for one small thing - the toilet did not flush properly in J2 ..hope they get it fixed. Apart from this everything else was perfect. Relaxed laid back - we never left this compound and enjoyed the peace and tranquility here - there is certainly more to do than we did as we had just come from a Kilimanjaro climb and were utterly exhausted and this place was just right. We went snorkelling and this was amazing - live coral! - its a nice place to stay for a few days

Very beautiful location, great price. Very accomodating staff.

Detta hotell lever inte alls upp till några förväntningar! Det går absolut inte att bada, poolen är trasig och skitig. Personalen är lata amerikaner som inte bryr sig om service. Läget är OK om man gillar det genuina Tanzania, en mysig by med trevliga människor. Dock inget för kräsna resenärer. Ett litet underbart hotell beläget på klippan Corall Rock vid Paje Beach.. Hotellet har en ytterst oansenlig entré som för den oinvigde missas. Bakom fasaden döljer sig ett underbart bra litet hotell som just nu genomgår en upprustning av rummen. Polen är av bra kvalitet och som kronan eller stjärnan över hotellet är restaurangen och kök. Restaurang […] levererar bra frukostar, luncher och middagar. Vid en titt på menyn hittar man lokalt afrikanskt och asiatiskt. Negativt att ibland kan väntetiden på maträtterna bli lite väl långa, kanske beroende på kravet på att hålla ett kök med god kulinarisk och hygienisk kvalitet. Coral Rock Hotel är beläget vid en av Zanzibars finaste ständer med vit bländande sand av snäckskal och korall. Sanden känns som gips och är så vit så att den bländar som snö på vårvintern i fjällen. Tidvattnet gör att man kan följa tidvattnets rörelse. Att lägga sig i det ljumma c. 25 – 28 gradiga vattnet och låta känslan av ljumma strömmar spola över kroppen. Jeg havde 4 skønne dage på Zanzibar og Coral Rock hotel var bare det skønneste sted at være, langt over mine forventninger. Fine værelser, super god restaurant, søde og hjælpsomme ansatte og helt fantastisk beliggenhed.

Hotel sympa car vraiment les pieds dans l'eau! Ne pas hesiter à reserver la chambre Deluxe car celle ci a sa propre terrasse privée donnant sur la mer. Point négatif, l'hotel est en travaux donc pas mal de bruit...

Coral Rock is nice and cozy place far away from our home. It was more than we expected. All people were were friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. People working over there were helpful and reliable. Coraal Rock differs from big hotels. The quests were mostly couples who liked to have their own time and space. However all people were friendly. […] The computer service was great. Food was also excellent and wine was very cool and beer cold. Only small problem is location. And there were not any "public" or neigborhood activities close. As summary, we were very satisfyed with our staying at Coral Rock. Lees meer
