Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge in Dublin

Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, very comfortable room, quiet and convenient location. Will definitely stay again. Excellent value for money. Staff exceptionally helpful and polite.

We have stayed in this hotel over weekend in July. Price was competitive, but it meant that we have only got bed and towels, nothing else (ie. no shower cap, sample body lotion etc.). Bed was comfortable, but it was very warm in the rooms - no aircon and opening of the windows was very limited. There was coffee and tea making facility, but tea, coffee […] and milk provided were ut of date. After this discovery I was glad we didn't book breakfast in the morning. On the arrival the receptionist couldn't find our reservation, so we ended up waiting almost half an hour to get our keys. There was nothing special about our stay. The bed was large and comfortable. Our room had an outdoor balcony, which we used to get fresh air. The neighborhood is clean and safe. The hotel buiding is beautiful and conveniently located to many attractions in Dublin.

We got a great deal on a 3-night mid-week break. The beds were made up each night, plenty of towels each day, plenty of tea/coffee packs each day (however there was no shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, tissues/cotton pads in bathroom so bring your own). Excellent as usual. I love this hotel, great location very nice place to stay, great value.

The water did not drain in the tub, the toilet ran constantly. The room was good size and clean, the stuff OK, not super-friendly. Location is nice, quiete, a little bit away from the center, but perfect for sleeping and the bus ride is very convenient to the center.

Hotel room was good value and although we chose not to eat in the hotel there are lots of options nearby for both food and drink. Also convenient for Dart station into centre of city

This hotel must be the most overlooked and underappreciated hotel I've ever stayed in. A hidden gem. Our rate was outstanding and was less than a fourth the rate of the Four Seasons across the street. Yet it was a beautiful building that was well kept and very comfortable. Their family rooms have a wonderful double bed, single bed and a pull out sofa […] that they turn down and sleeps another two people. Great if you have children. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The restaurant and bar are very nice and it is a bout a 5 min walk from the DART train that takes you into the center of town. Very poor amenities - less than you can find in a low end U.S. motel. Poor lighting, no fridge, no bath or wash soaps, no clock, TV did not work ... Service was not that great either ...

This was my eighth stay at Bewleys. The hotel has a good restaurant and bar. Airport bus stops right outside. Area is well served by buses. DART station three minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and bars in Ballsbridge and Sandymount (both 5 mins. walk).

This hotel is in the right part of town. Close to all of Georgian Dublin. The rooms are basic but the hotel is clean.

Found the reception staff very helpful and friendly; noise from other rooms can be a problem & we were woken up both nights by other guests making noise at around 4am, however when I rang Reception they sent someone up immediately to try and sort the problem. Rooms were comfortable and clean but very warm, and the rates were reasonable compared to other […] hotels of a similar standard. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a two night stay at Bewleys. We had dinner in the restaurant one of the nights which was excellent. Rooms are probably three star. Clean and comfortable but not particularily luxurious.

Stayed ere for two nights and found it great. Good clean rooms with all the usual comforts. The public areas -lobby, lounge, bar dining room all very spacious and comfortable.

Recently my sister and I went to Dublin to take part in the Flora Mini- Marathon. We booked in for two nights in Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge. This was a very convenient location for picking up our numbers at the RDS and the hotel was lovely to stay in. We found it very easy to get taxis and the hotel was relatively quiet given the busy location. We went […] into town both nights and had great fun in a bar with live music and late disco. The DJ played records rather than CDs and we danced til the small hours- not bad for over 40s. We found that everyone was really friendly . Dublin is a great city for a night out. We had a lovely meal in the hotel one night and ate in the Italian quarter another night, both nights at reasonable rates. We are going to make this a yearly event and hope to stay in Bewleys again and if we can find another excuse for a weekend in Dublin ....Bewleys here we come! Lees meer

Good choice walking distance to city centre, bus stop outside hotel if needed. Buy a rambler ticket and save money if there for 3 days or more. Hotel great for meals, self service breakfast could be a problem for some if disabled etc. Sure staff would assist in a moment if you ask. Quality standard of cleaning in all areas,rooms comfortable after a […] hard days sightseeing. Have stayed many times in Dublin not as noisy as more central hotels. Friendly staff in all areas. Great location for a stay in Dublin as transport in and out of the city centre is frequent and right next to the hotel. The room was bright and spacious and very comfortable. No traffic noise at all. The only negative, and its not important for everyone, is the fact that this hotel does not have a fitness room.

Great break in Bewleys where the room was a generous size so I could spread out. Safe provided free which was a plus and the bed was soooooo comfortable. The Aircoach can take you straight from the Airport to the door and will pick you up just outside for your return journey too. Our hotel stay was fine the position of the hotel meant I could leave the car there and catch a bus to the city in app 5 mins. Staff were friendly and I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. They went out of their way to be accommodating. The hotel was in a great location. It was within walking distance of Grafton Street and the surrounding neighborhood was delightful. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Dublin.

Good basic conference hotel, clean and comfortable with not too many extras. Have to pay for parking and beakfast.

I usually stay at Bewleys when I come to Dublin. I feel good here, the staff is always very nice, it's clean, breakfast is good (a bit too expensive, more than a lunch!) and I reach easily UCD and also the city centre. Two recommendation from me: 1. breakfast should not exceed a lunch price; 2. The ladies who clean the rooms should start their work […] after 9:30 or 10:00 am. Wacum cleaner, gathering bottles and other noises during the cleaning process wake up all the rooms around the room is cleaned. Very enjoyable stay here, we had early bird dinner in restaurant and it was just beautiful. Staff in restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Will definately be back.

I stayed at Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge because I needed to be close to a friend's parent's house. For the location, it was the most affordable hotel with the best amenities. Related to the cost of surrounding hotels, Bewleys was clean, convenient, comfortable and perfectly adequate. But, if you are expecting a "posh" hotel, this is definitely not it. […] The building itself used to be an old school, so it's a beautiful building on the outside. However, the inside is stuck in the 80's and seemingly hasn't been updated since. The decor, furniture and bathrooms are all dated. They're clean, functional and operational for sure. But, nothing to write home about. The bar located in the lower level has good food and drink. However, the menu at the restaurant is formal and sort of limited. So, we ate in the bar all the time because we wanted sandwiches. Service was great half of the time, and poor the other half. The hotel has free wi-fi that was adequate for catching up on emails, etc... There is no hard-wired connection or printing facilities that I could find. I stayed twice over the holiday season. One room on the sixth floor was relatively large and quiet. However, the second stay was on the first floor and the room (and bathroom) was small. It was large enough, but a disappointment after my room of the several days prior. Also, the room on the first floor was very loud. It could have just been guests in the hallway, but I think a lot of it was the housekeeping staff as well. Overall, I'd recommend the hotel for what it cost. However, if you're looking for luxury, I'd recommend the Four Seasons right across the street. Lees meer

Drank in the hotel bar after our night out. Bar was really buzzing and great service, open till about 2.30am, really pleased all round.

The male night staff were not particularly friendly. Other than that hotel was good. Knives and forks in buffet restaurant were positioned far from the hot food. Why Who knows? Breakfast is 13 euro. Hardly a bargain.

walking distance to R,D S show grounds very clean, staff friendly and help full we thought the breakfast was a bit pricey at 13.00 euros each as you can get much cheaper in the region, but you can eat as much as you like, we will be back in December for 5 more nights

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The check in was efficient, the receptionist friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable but the TV reception was very poor, but that was just a small thing really. The breakfast was expensive I thought, but given that the room was reasonably priced I cant complain. The main thing I didnt like was the constant […] disturbance (from 07.30am) by cleaning staff knocking on the door and coming into the room. I had just ran a marathon and was very tired only to be constantly woken up. I know there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign whcih I could have put on the door but I didnt expect cleaners to constantly walk in whether it was on the door or not. The only other complaint was that I was packing my stuff in my room a few minutes after check-out time and a lady came in and was not very nice about me being a few minutes late, warning me that I would have to pay extra at reception. I didnt have to but I would warn such people that there are plenty of similar hotels in Dublin, be rude to paying customers at your peril. But overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it. Lees meer

Seemed to us to be run by amateurs. Wrong key on check-in, when we went to take out our car the validated key didn't work and we had to go back. Later the key didn't work again to the room. One window of the room didn't close etc etc etc. We've always stayed here because of the value, space and surroundings. We're unlikely to again

I have stayed at Bewleys numerous occasions and would recommend it 100% , staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are comfy and clean, lounge/bar is very relaxing. Not far from city centre, situated in a lovely area

Nice hotel but too expensive for room only. My daughter has stayed there several times for less than a third of that price.Restaurant in hotel was reasonable and the food was nice.

On my latest overnight stay at this hotel, I noted what appeared to be a streak of blood on one of the pillows. If it was blood, it is disgusting, if not well the pillow should still have been replaced. I have stayed nummerous time and will stay again. Usually excellent

Efficient, comfortable, well situated, accommodating though not solicitous of my needs. Non-Irish staff unclear on the best directions to airport other than "you have to go into the middle of Dublin on O'Connell Street". When I asked if that was the N1, she repeated the above instruction. The following morning I merely followed the road signs to the […] airport. Never got close to O'Connell Street. The facilities were very comfortable and enjoyable, including the expansive bar and restaurant. I will gladly stay at Bewley's on my next Dublin trip. Lees meer

The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean, the only thing wrong was that they did not supply wash cloths. I would recommend this hotel.
