Ontbijt werd goed bijgevuld en er was meer dan voldoende. Fantastische prijs/kwaliteitverhouding! voor dit geld zo mooi zitten, wij dachten eerst dat we verkeerd zaten, haha

Het is belangrijk om de halte te nemen aan het einde van de straat, bovenop de heuvel. Gezellige kamer, rustige omgeving, leuke bar met betaalbare prijzen en een gunstige prijs kwaliteitverhouding.

Gaat ook regelmatig meerdere bussen, die voor de deur stoppen. Het avond eten in het hotel is beperkt in keuze. Bestaat uit twee verbonden woningen en geen lift naar boven.

"Heerlijk hotel!"
Het hotel ligt erg centraal in het centrum van Edinburgh. De buitenkant is een "oud gebouw" maar vanbinnen is het modern, comfortabel en hip, maar toch heel warm. Vanaf het vliegveld ben je met bus 100 binnen een kwartier op waverly station en dan is nog maar 2 min. lopen. Super! Het ontbijt was wel aan de prijzige kant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a higher floor so that we could have a better view. Bed was so comfortable I could have stayed there and slept for 24 hrs, but we had to leave! Bathroom had a bath which was very welcome when most accommodation has very pokey bathrooms. A couple of observations, anyone with bulky luggage arriving by train may not want to follow the walking directions to the hotel provided on their website, it involves going up and down a couple of flights of stairs. "STAY HERE!"
Our bags were lost when we landed in Edinburgh and as soon as we got to the hotel and told them, one of the receptionists called the airline immediately and got on the case. When we got to our room, I didn't like it because I prefer rooms facing the street rather than the interior. I called and the room was switched immediately, we didn't have to go […] back to reception, we were just told to meet someone on the floor with the new room. The place was clean, and well maintained. LINDA, the concierge was AMAZING! She had a wealth of information and she was genuinely interested in us having a good experience. She gave us plenty of pointers and information places to visit. Lastly, we took a day trip into the highlands with the heart of Scotland tours and the pick up point was LITERALLY across the street from the hotel. A+! This hotel was excellent, although we did not use the spa facilities or the restaurant. The prices listed for breakfast seemed expensive, but there are plenty of nice eateries nearby, more reasonably priced. Car parking is not easy, particularly on a Saturday night, onstreet bays were full. Drop-off and pick-up also tricky, we had to double park while […] we unloaded luggage, before finding a car park in the vicinity, a ten minute walk from hotel. Ask advice of the hotel on booking, they have a reduced rate with a car park in the area, which we were unaware of. Very clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel, with pleasant, helpful staff. A very nice hotel, right near the train station and a fairly easy walk to all of the major tourist attractions. There are lots of hotels that are closer to stuff like the castle, but Edinburgh is so compact it's not an issue. "Close to the main attractions in the city centre"
We've stayed here before and found the hotel to be excellent. As before we found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the double room was clean and spacious. The hotel is just a five minute walk from the train station, and our main reason for staying, the Edinburgh Playhouse. "Great hotel for a luxury weekend away!"
We had a lovely time at the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel. The location was excellent, right in the centre of Edinburgh, only a short walk to the shops, galleries, castle and Arthurs Seat! The room was very nice, luxurious bathroom, big TV, complimentary refreshments. We used the gym, spa, pool and sauna - all of which were perfect. The only complaint (from […] my partner) is that there were no heavy weight machines in the gym, only light free weights, but that didn't bother me! We didn't eat in the restaurant or use the bar, but both areas looked nice. The staff were very friendly ans helpful. Would definitely recommend and use again. "Great room, shame about the smell!"
We had a superior room but when we arrived it was stiflingly hot. When we turned down the heating ( it had been set at 27 degrees) we noticed a horrendous damp smell throughout the room and bathroom. As we were only saying one night and were going out for the night we didn't bother to ask for a move. The room (apart from the smell) was huge,with an […] equally huge bathroom - the walk in shower alone would take a football team! The expresso coffee was very good. The bar area was very nice but can't comment on breakfast as we declined the offer - £10 each is a bit steep even in Edinburgh. Overall a great place to stay for a getaway, facilities top notch as were the staff. Restaurant was affordable and the atmosphere welcoming. "Great location to visit all the sights"
Room on 10th floor was nice and quiet. Bathroom spacious and well appointe . Nice fluffy towels. Bedroom whilst not large was well laid out and view of Calton Hill. Will stay here again.Gecontroleerde Expedia gastenbeoordeling

"Highly recommended!"
We stayed at the Apex Waterloo hotel for Hogmanay and everything was spectacular. The hotel was very sleek and modern and the service was unbelievable. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful! We actually arrived early and early check in was not an issue. It was very easy to walk to from the Waverley train station and all other popular attractions […] (prince street, royal mile, calton hill, castle, arthur's seat, etc.). The hotel is very close to everything but noise is not an issue because it is right out of the hustle and bustle of the center of the city. Even during Hogmanay (the New Year's celebration/one of the busiest times of the year) we didn't experience any problems with noise. To top it all off the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable.
