Nice breakfast, good swimmingpool, excellent service. Quick free internet.

Everything was in good shape and as expected based on previous reviews and price. Staff was courteous and the room was in nice condition and clean.

The only problem we had was that the air conditioner was very noisy but we had to have it on because the walls are very thin and we could hear the conversations of the people in the next room. Also, the airconditioner blew onto both beds so we woke up with stuffy noses and sore throats.

This is a very comfortable hotel and I appreciated the free wi-fi access.

The location was close to campus and close to town. The room was clean and comfortable. I wouldn't stay here for vacation, but for visiting the kids, it's perfect for the money.

Everything you would want in a hotel, seriously. Breakfast was amaze, very quaint hotel in the most perf.location. Our cab ride was 7 dollars to Downtown!

The stay was excellent. We often travel with our dog and this hotel really works for us. We got the suite and it has plenty of room and the view to the mountains was beautiful. We will be back in July.

Hotel room was very dark and windows looked over a gas station. Hotel grounds were very nice and the staff was very accommodating. Room decor was very old.

Stayed at this hotel while touring Cal Poly SLO with my son and a few of his friends. The King suite was extremely spacious and well maintained. Location was perfect as just about a mile down the street from the university. The trolley to the street fair leaves from almost directly in front of the hotel so very convenient for getting around town. I've stayed at several hotels in SLO, from the higher-end to the lower-end. This is a nice compromise right in the middle. Clean room, nice staff, comfortable-looking breakfast room (didn't eat breakfast there; went to nearby Apple Farm, at request of our college student), even flat-screen tv, and free wifi. We were in a one-floor room (no-one overhead), […] on the end, so it was quiet and private, with convenient parking. Three fairly important down-sides. Hard, ungiving bed, lumpy pillows, and a room air system that was loud and kept us awake all night. But, for the money, it suited us okay, for one night. Nice spot near downtown SLO. Within walking distance of downtown and has a few nice bars/restaurants within a block. Room was clean and comes with large TV, fridge and an iron. Only negative was the low water pressure in the shower. Overall great experience and would definitely stay again.

I'm a large guy, so the bathroom is an issue! The toilet is too low, and the seat is too small, as is the bathtub. I have to turn carefully, so I won't feel like I'm going to tip over. I also feel like the rooms may be too small for the furnature they put in there to make up for NO CLOSET. If you have two queen beds, for example, it's just too tight. 1) The plumbing very noisy; seems outdated. 2) Too much noise from the neighboring rooms due to thinn walls. 3) Very noisy foot traffic due to location of room at the top of stair well. 4) Nice breakfast room. 5) Nice parking structure.

Very nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff went out of their way to assist me. I had a room upstairs and the manager carried my Dialysis bag up the stairs and gave me his card to call directly for the next time to ensure a downstairs room. Good location -- easy to get downtown and to Cal Poly. Noisy heater in room (turned it off at night). Otherwise it met our needs.

Love this place! Especially staying in their suite! Stayed here twice and now it will be the ONLY place we stay! Price is fair, and service is excellent.

Loved the place. However, I asked 3 times if the glacial speed of the internet connection was due to some problem or was their "normal". Sadly, the feedback was that all was as it should be. Disappointing. Everything else, including the great breakfast, was fine.

We had never stayed in this hotel and don't know that we would again. The rooms were clean but this is a very old facility and the walls are paper thin. We arrived very late and very tired. The first room they put us in had a bad water leak coming from the room above it so they did move us immediately upon our complaint. Thermostat was broken. Walls are "very thin". Staff is nice. Ok if looking for quick place to stay if just passing through.

Clean, comfortable, great service, nice heated pool and hot tub. Friendly staff. Great for CP parents visiting students. Can walk ~ 1mi. to campus. Pets are welcome. Rooms a bit small, simple, but clean & comfy. Would definitely stay again.

For a motor inn, I thought it presented good value. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hot breakfast that came with the room was better than most. The hotel is quiet and has a nice swimming pool. It is also conveniently located near the 101, but not too close so it remains quiet.

Although there are probably enough parking spaces, they aren't always near your room, unless you arrive early each night. And, probably the last time I accept a "Queen Deluxe," as it apparently means two queen beds in a room big enough for one, or maybe two doubles. Only one night stand, between the two.

Dark. Dirty. Dingy. Paper thin walls and horrendous bed. Went to check out and nobody was around. Ended up not sleeping and driving 3+ hours to the next destination.

The room was clean & comfortable, & we liked that it was so close to downtown San Luis Obispo. We needed a place to just crash & this was perfect.

Nothing to write home about. A decent, clean hotel. there were defintely some college kids partying, and in fact, we saw a few hookers stumble out of a car in the parking lot in the AM.

Place is ok...nothing special, nothing really bad either

Hot tub was only in the 80s. Management said it stopped heating over 100 as it should previous day. We had king suite which was nice for three and had three sinks, one in bathroom, one in bar/living area and one in bedroom. Also had balcony overlooking street with view of mountains plus patio next to entry door with table and chairs overlooking pool […] and two of the morros. But somewhat noisy from street on one side and freeway nearby on other. Heater in bedroom part of suite not working, actually cooled room. Management provided space heater. One toilet seat bolt was broken. Seems like some maintenance issues should have been fixed before room was assigned to us. Lees meer

Clean, well maintained, and reasonably priced. Courtyard parking with ample first floor rooms makes this a good overnight place for motorcyclists.

Overall, an OK stay, but the neighbors (in the hotel) were noisy and inconsiderate. Maybe the room I had was too small for the king size bed, as the furniture seemed cramped in there. And, I wasn't happy with the way the shower water kept going from really nice to ice cold and back. Every morning.
