Flying Saddle Resort in Alpine

Onderweg naar Yellow Stone Park hebben wij hier een prima overnachting gehad. Een rustige en mooie locatie, met prima kamer. Echt een plek om even tot rust te komen.

We stayed the night in the little cabins. Wonderful privacy. Beautiful Snake River veiw. The restaurant was fabulous (a little slow-ish, but food was terrific). Everyone was friendly. We had the pool to ourselves (Saturday Evening stay, no less). I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's rural Wyoming, so if you're used to 5 Star Manhattan luxury, […] then head up to Teton Village. Great place for the price. Close to riding areas and has a great pool/spa/gym and good food at their restaurant.

Large, clean and comfortable room. Good indoor pool, also tennis court. Tables outside for a sundowner and on-site liquor store. Steak restaurant very good.

The room was great, the location perfect, and was very comfortable. The only thing to watch out for was the quality of service of the wait staff in the attached restaurant.They were just plain weird, and just had a strange vibe. It was on the way to Yellowstone from Salt Lake, it had a restaraunt that was open later, and the food and service was good.

I highly recommend this hotel because it is clean, peaceful, relaxing and yet still close to the tourist areas and far less expensive than many of its competitors in Jackson Hole, WY.

This hotel was awesome--good food, excellent service and great accommodations!

General resort info promotes microwave & fridge in every rm..yet in fine print u will see how none of the rooms have micro/fridge itemized....hotel staff told me I was incorrect in my reading of the info...upgraded to rm with fridge/micro....then micro kept overheating so no popcorn for the kids...property was nice..allowed late chk out w/o hassle. […] Pool was good. Freindly staff, reasonably priced, good steak house.

We were served by a gentleman from the Czech Republic who seemed a little week in the english language, but his demeanor, and attitude was incredible, any american server would do well, to learn from this man. The food was exceptional, I have never had scallops cooked to perfection like I have here.

The pool and spa are a nice touch, not crowded and with plenty of towels.

I would have given them a 5, but room 118 has one of those "low-profile" toilets that chokes on anything bigger than a ping-pong ball. They were quick about fixing it, but no visitor should have to put up with that.

Brilliant resort in a great location on the banks of the Snake river with mountain views. The room was very spacious and well appointed, immaculately presented and very comfortable. We had dinner in the bar rather than the restaurant (same menu, same prices). Being a Monday night and the first game of the NFL season all the televisions (one on each […] wall) had live Football and there were half a dozen locals drinking beer and enjoying the game which added atmosphere rather than making us feel uncomfortable. Service was great and the food excellent, I recommend the prime rib! If we find ourselves near Alpine again we will certainly stay at the Flying Saddle again! Lees meer

Nice hotel in an OK location.

Although this hotel might be considered a "3.5" star hotel, it felt like a 4 or 5 star hotel! We were able to stay at a discounted rate in September, so it made the hotel about the same price as other hotels in the area, which did not have as great of reviews. Luxury linens. Every amenity in the room - like fine linens, spa-brand bath sundries, an ipod […] alarm clock, microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, locking safe, lush bathrobes, granite countertops, sinks inside and outside of the shower area, etc - made this room feel like a retreat. We were disappointed we didn't have enough time to have a glass of wine next to the outdoor fire, tiki torches, and koi pond at night. It was neat to look at the old Buffalo Bill photos, which were blown up with amazing clarify, throughout the hotel. Although we missed the rodeo by one week, the hotel is across the street and less than one block away from the arena. The front lobby had free samples of locally made honey candy and a grand piano, and a lobby on par with most 4 & 5 star resorts. The only things that did not really exceed our expectations were the complimentary breakfast (typical continental style found at a three star hotel) and the fact that our toilet seemed to have a hard time flushing (low water pressure?). We were visiting from New York and had no idea where to stay. We spent the day in the Grand Tetons and then drove down to Alpine. What a beautiful place. The river was right next to our room. The room was beautiful and we loved the place. I would highly recommend it.

A little pricey for a mediocre room. I was in a pet room and when I called to report a wet spot on the floor, the front desk staff seemed a bit uninterested. Didn't make apologies or offer me another room.

I just stayed one night. The bathroom was in need of update and a good cleaning. bugs on floor and mildew in shower/tub. NO breakfast with room. The price for buffett was high and had not much more that you get at 90% of other hotels for free.

Older hotel but was clean and well maintained.

Hotel was good overall. Good location, size of room was good, etc. The only thing that let it down is the bathroom needs updating. In particular, the shower was old and tired matched with an unstable water flow.

Great location, landscaping, pool, lobby, and restaurant. Breakfast expensive for a small selection of mediocre food, coffee not good either. Good price for a nice place. Rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable.

This was a nice stay. Spacious room, very comfy beds, balcony was nice. Only complaint of cleanliness was hair all over the bathroom. The restaurant food wasn't that great and was pricey. Kinda a hole in the wall town. Only a Subway as far as fast food goes. About 40 min. from Jackson. Lots of road construction when we were there so it took a little […] bit longer. This motel about 45 minutes from Jackson. Just didn't meet our expectations, and the staff at the check in desk after 10pm were not very helpful or friendly. Would look for another option in the future. DP

What a pleasant surprise after arriving at what appeared to be a small cabin. However, in side there were two very comfortable pillow-top queen-sized beds, a comfortable leather sofa, an adequate kitchen table, a small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and cook-top, Starbuck's coffee and a great little bathroom. The cabin was a new log cottage with […] beautifully stained wood. Our's lacked a fireplace but floor heating responded quickly. 2 TVs and Internet service was included. Charcoal grill on the deck. I knew it was about 35 miles away. Didn't expect the hotel to be so beautifully surrounding by the Snake River, the lawn and the landscaping were maintained well. It has a swimming pool, which provides dry towels. It also has a hot tub. The restaurant was a bit pricy, so we didn't buy any foods there. But the hotel's overall environment was very very […] nice and well maintained. We love it and will recommend our friend to go there. I only wonder why they don't offer Microwave and refrigerator in the room. Since this hotel doesn't provide breakfast, it is quite inconvenient in this regard. It is a lovely hotel with excellent surroundings. Hotel food was good but it was a fit far for Grand Teeton and Jackson

In desperation to find a reasonably priced motel after a day of briefly touring Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, we by-passed the spendy ski-village hotels and the uniformly expensive motels in Jackson. The Flying Saddle was more than we wanted to spend for a night's stay as we continued our journey south, but it turned out to be beautifully landscaped […] and tastefully regionally appointed. We arrived with just 20 minutes to spare to get a meal at the restaurant, but our food server was outstanding. Our stay turned out to be a nice surprise and treat. Our room was in the "tower" which is very new and well designed. We would have welcomed a complimentary continental breakfast--something we look for when we travel. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would recommend it considering the area. Lees meer

You've got to WANT to get to Alpine but it's beautiful and affordable. Nice renovated motel with additions. A lot of love went into the landscaping and resort overlooks the Snake River. Restaurant pricey but patio and lounge next to landscaped waterfall. I'd suggest pizza place on southside of town(89/91). Old part of facility clean and roomy.
