Residence Inn by Marriott Clearwater Downtown in Clearwater

This is the first time I've stayed in the "Residence Inn" branch of Marriott and I have to say from here out, whenever I travel I will look for Residence inn. I loved the king size bed studio with living room and kitchen. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. I loved how it was 5 minute car ride from the beach without having to pay the […] beach side hotel prices that go for at least hundred dollars more. The comfort of the room overall was impressive. I stayed in this studio with King size bed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in ever. The room was immaculately clean and looked brand new. It had a fully equipped very modern kitchen, and the suite overall was very spacious with a nice view of a park with fountain outside the window. The hotel is not within walking distance of the […] beach, but is a short drive away. The complimentary breakfast was good, and the room also came with free wifi. I was surprised that for such a new hotel the furniture in my room was already "stained" and/or soiled. Poor poor poor. This makes me question the cleaniness of the rest of the room and hotel. VERY VERY POOR. I was also surprised that when I checked in I was put on a floor with animals! UGH. The staff was wonderful. The hotel was nicely decorated (granite counter tops in the kitchen). It was very clean. However....the word "downtown" does not denote a thriving metropolis. "downtown" Clearwater is a dump! I did not know this before I went.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The room was large and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good and filling. There is a fitness room, pool and a very nice area if you want to use a grill. Close to the beach, but not walking distance. We did one of the dinner cruises and got back to the hotel within minutes.

The hotel was really clean and the room was exceptional. It felt cozy and serene. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Clearwater area.

We were more than satisfied with our room. Very convenient to the beach, and you felt you were in an upscale resort. Loved the room layout and the breakfast... something for everyone. Our room was very quiet and had nice bedding. Hope to return and spend more time there.

Hotel very clean inside and outside perimeters. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Full kitchen had everything but a stove and didn't realize until 2 frozen pizzas were bought. Staff threw in their oven for us! All rooms are very HANDICAPPED approved. Literally timed beach at 7 minutes away, just over a bridge. My husband & I went to Clearwater for christmas we were very happy with the hotel itself but if only it was near some bars/restaurants. It would be ideal if you had business in downtown Clearwater but not if you intended to eat/drink near by or to spend time Clearwater beach. The room was beautiful! Large and comfortable, with new furnishings, granite countertops, a nice kitchen and living area. All one room, but felt like three. Quiet. Breakfast was very good. Staff were pleasant. Could not have been better. I would definitely return. For the price, amazing!

Room was amazing, view was great. Location to clearwater beach was perfect, only about a five minute drive. Well worth the price. Only downside was other guests were rude and very loud.

Our room was very clean and had plenty of room for our 9-month old daughter to walk around. The soft ottoman on wheels in the room kept her safely occupied while my husband and I enjoyed the hotel's free breakfast (oh, if only the waffle-maker had not malfunctioned it would have been a perfect morning). This hotel was the best hotel we ever have booked for our tour in Florida. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Elegant rooms. Complementary rich hot breakfast is offered.

What a delightful surprise! This hotel is about 2 miles from Clearwater Beach but the rates were 25% lower and the quality was 100% better.

Great hotel! It seemed very new and the room was huge!!! Also had a great breakfast that is included in the price. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great suit setup. Comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed the coffee pot and frig for in-house drinks and milk, etc. The staff was super. Courteous and helpful in every way possible. Very clean, comfortable, nice room just loved, everytime i come back to clearwater, i will stay there.

I have stayed in 3 Marriott properties within the last year in 3 different cities for 3 different reasons. I have never been disappointed, and in fact, I was ready to move in to the room because it is more beautiful than my own condo!! The decor is very modern, it is very clean, and the room makes you feel right at home at this Residence Inn in Clearwater. […] Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances were not expected for the reasonable rate we paid for one night since we were attending a wedding on the beach. This hotel room far exceeded any other hotel we have stayed in through all our travels, including Europe. The residence setting made us really feel at home, and the services they offered were astounding as well as outstanding!! We will always try to plan a stay at a Marriott property for our future travels!!

Das Hotel selbst hat uns total überrascht, absolut Klasse eingerichtet und mit einer Küchenzeile. Diese Chance haben wir für das Braten eines Steaks genutzt und ich kann nur sagen, das Fleisch ist super. Abgeschweift !!! ;-)) Jedenfalls liegt das Hotel optimal, um nach Clearwater Beach zu fahren oder im Gegenzug in der Tampa Bay zu shoppen.
