lousy room lousy access lousy tv could not turn heat off in a small compressed room two hangars to hang clothes appalling

Exceptionally central and easy to get to all the main sights by foot or local transport. Staff very welcoming and helpful, hotel is a little dated and in need of a revamp but overall quite OK. I would return.

Me and my boyfriend stayed her for a weekend, hotel lovely, staff great, but the noise was awful. The disco downstairs was really loud, and the people in the room next to us had a mad party. We complained and we moved to a new room at 6am. 2nd night was perfect, REQUEST A ROOM ON THE TOP FLOOR WHEN BOOKING AS YOU CAN'T HEAR A THING!!! :)

Just had short over night stay. Hotel is situated in a good location with friendly staff. Hotel feels a little crammed as rooms are small and compact. Overall satisfied with hotel.

Really lovelly hotel the staff were great and the service was second to none, close to all attractions so plenty to do. Only downfalls are the night club which is part of the hotel is very noisy and can really get on your goat and trying to find the parking and the hotel can be a bit tricky without a sat nav. all in all a really nice place and i would […] defo stay there again. when booking this hotel I understood that parking was available to residents free of charge I was not told that I had to park in Fosters street car park at my own risk and the charge that went with it. when I explained to the receptionist what I thought I was told she explained that I was sent an email to explain the rules of parking, still I think […] I didnt get the proper information regarding parking when making the resavation we had an eldery coulple with us and it was difficult to get them from car park to hotel. Apart from that the staff were really lovely and helpful the rooms were clean and the food was good. I did have a problem with the keys though we were only allowed one key per room and that created a problem because we were coming back at different times and had to get a porter to let one of us into our rooms and it was hard to get the key into the lock an elderly couple traveled with us and they had great difficulty in opening the door Lees meer

Staff very nice, breakfast really good but rooms a bit shabby.

I suppose for the price we paid it was ok!I would have liked there to have been a bath.The room was very dated,But the towels and sheets were clean.

The location of this hotel is great it is close to the main city centre area and to the bus and train station. That and the fact that it was pretty reasonable price wise. That i'm afraid is its only selling points. Our room was on the first floor and we were wakened by the bus station tanoy system telling us were every bus leaving the station was going […] to. The rooms were very poorly maintained the door to our bathroom had a large fist hole in it, the shower rail was rusting and the shower curtain was a strange colour cream.. The towels were small to say the least. Pictures on the website do not reflect the hotel at all. On a more positive note the reception staff were friendly and well knowledge on the area Lees meer

GOOD HOTEL VERY CENTRAL TO CITY AND NEXT DOOR TO TRAIN STATION.FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF.

Great location, food in the bar was the nicest food , best value for money and the portions were much better than we got in all the other bars/ places we ate. The only thing that is a slight put off is the bus & train station beside the hotel you can hear the announcements first thing in the morning, it wouldn't stop me from staying there again tho […] ugh Lees meer

I loved this hotel. The room we had was massive and, the check-in was really quick and staff very friendly. It's very conveniently located- just off Eyre Square (as the name suggests!) and if you want to be out on the town it's ideal. The hotel does have a nightclub downstairs which isn't great if you need a good night's sleep. Didn't bother us tho […] ugh. Lees meer

The Eyre Square Hotel well placed for bus depot and easy reach of shopping centre. Reception staff very efficient and friendly. Would recommend with confidence.

There was a terrible smell of sewage from the bathroom in our room and in the toilets in the bar. The room was not soundproofed, we could hear the bus announcements clearly from nearby.

room 107 had a noisy fan out side the window didn't get a wink of sleep .room was not clean somebodys nail was on the floor

VERY CENTRAL ,BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, FOR COST VERY GOOD.I THINK THAT IN THE SUMMER SEASON IT WOULD BE VERY NOISY BUT FOR A NIGHT IN GALWAY ON A BUDGET GREAT VALUE.NEXT DOOR TO THE TRAIN STATION AND JUST A VERTY SHORT WALK TO BUS

Wonderful hotel. Extremely friendly staff. You could not ask for a better location if traveling by bus. I love the city of Galway, and if in my travels I get the chance to return, it will be to Eyre Square!

This hotel was basic, fine if you were on a budget, close to Eyre Square, carpark charges 10 euro a day and is a 5 minute walk away, annoying in the rain. Service was not great, receptionist was not interested and was on facebook and answered our questions with her eyes glued to a computer screen. She was not busy so 20 seconds of looking interested […] would not have killed her! Room had mould on walls and ceiling, holes in the curtains, dirt on the walls, looked like it needed a good hard cleaning. Room was small and basic. over forty euro midweek without breakfast would not spend anymore than that or the prices they ask at the weekend, I would rather stay a bit out side city in a nicer hotel because we ended up getting taxis anyway to pubs and clubs in the other side of city which are the best ones like CP's and The Front Door so it really didnt save us any money. The hotel needs a refurbishment end of! And a look at customer service, bar staff were fine though. Lees meer

The bar and restaurant area of the hotel are beautiful and elegant. As for the rooms they are in need of serious cleaning and updating. Not very clean. The bed was hard and the most uncomfortable one I have ever slept in - or should say tried to sleep in. This hotel is slap bang in the middle of Galway, which meant we could nip in and out whenever we pleased and didn't have to worry about getting taxis home. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar in the hotel was good too and the bar men were great at giving us pointers on where to go that night. The breakfast was excellent. Great choice and […] a very tasty full Irish breakfast was enjoyed by us all. Lots of hen's away for the week-end so its not the place to go if you want solace but for anyone wanting to enjoy Galway I would definately go again. Lees meer

We loved the convenience. The next morning we were able to walk the half block to the Go Bus Station and did not need to hire a taxi.

In heart of Galway. Comfortable and friendly staff. Loud at night but that is to be expected with the location

The room was the smallest we stayed in while in Ireland, but fit the bill. Staff was friendly, location was ok close to shopping and pubs. We found the hotel hard to find. The part I liked the least was we had to turn in our key when we left at night. I am a 34 year old grown women and felt like a child having to check in and out at the front desk.

This hotel is just in front of the bus and train station. It's easy to reach and good place to stay. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed to stay. Thank you.

stayed at the eyre square hotel for 2 nights from the 26/06 to28/06 2009. location couldnt be better right on eyre sq., staff very friendly on checking in. room clean and comfortable. bar very nice. a bit quite for a city centre location hsving said that the weather was glorious so must people outside till 2 and 3 in the morning, Breakfast was lovely […] served be a friendly waitress each morning. The only problem was that the hotel is situated right next door to the bus and train station and from about 6.30 in the morning you can hear the announcer telling the passengers what terminal to go to, Didnt bother us to much as we are early risers. would difently return Lees meer

hotel was very run down i have stayed in better hostels no disrespect to hostels. very over priced and rooms very small. even the long dated milk was sour......... wouldnt reccommend to anyone.

Mainly the reason why we were disappointed with this hotel was the noise level - absolutely unacceptable. We went for a quiet weekend but on the first night we got little or no sleep. Firstly due the volume of the salsa band playing in the bar/lounge which was 3 floors below us but could be heard clearly in our room. Our bed may as well have been in […] the bar itself. This continued until 1.45am. When we finally got to nod off we were woken again by a room party above us at 4am which turned into a fight. We could hear every word, curse and names of abuse clearly. We had to ring down to reception and they sorted it out for us. Granted the hotel is good location wise but I highly doubt that Id stay in it again. Parking is a walk away and it costs an extra ten euro per night. Breakfast was good though. I would only recommend this hotel if you went to Galway for an all-drinking weekend were you wouldnt spend much time in it and if you werent bother by the noise. Lees meer

To be fair, we'd been warned by other reviews of this hotel that the club is loud and open late all days of the week. Staying on the second floor we got a good dose of the club/house music both Wednesday and Thursday nights until about 2-2:30 am. Then some guy followed the closing of the club with a 2 hour long shouted phone conversation in the hotel's […] interior courtyard. Brilliant. No in-room internet available, although there was (slow) free wireless in the lobby. Front desk staff always terse, although not quite rude. More like they didn't want to be bothered, but they'd help you because they knew it was their job. Could have been worse. Oh, and no complimentary toiletries like shampoo, so pack 'em yourself or visit the Centra across the street. Location is where this hotel shines and is probably the only reason it's still in business. You're across the street from the train station (brilliant!) and in the heart of downtown Galway, which is a super walkable city. However we noticed that there are tons of hotels convenient to the train station, and I will try one of them next time. Lees meer

Hotel muy bien situado pero tiene un problema: el bar que hay debajo del hotel´con la música altísima hasta las 2 y media de la madrugada. Nos dieron una de las habitaciones de la primera planta que están situadas encima del bar con lo que dormir fue imposible hasta que se acabó la música. Al día siguiente nos cambiaron de habitación a la tercera planta, […] y la música se oía nu poco pero se podía descansar. Recomendación: habitación que no esté en la primera planta o encima del bar. Super hôtel en plein centre ville de Galway une ambiance sympathique et l'on peut très vite être dans l'animation de la ville. Si vous arrivez par la Bus station faite le tour par la gauche et vous trouverez l'entrée.

la gente correva nei coridoi e sbatteva le porte di notte perche il pub e il bar sono una cosa sola con l'hotel e si dormiva male la stanza piccola come anche il bagno pero per 2 notti si vive bene.
