Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid, was van alle mogelijk! Behulpzaam personeel / Wij hadden 4 persoonskamer in een soort van souterrain; was erg oud, erg slechte bedden, smerige gordijnen en vieze badkamer.

een oud en slecht onderhouden hotel, te duur voor wat je kunt verwachten, kleine vieze kamer met een vervallen interieur, kamer leek op een uitgebroken bergruimte, badkamer was ernstig aan vernieuwing toe , ontbijt was verschrikkelijk slecht met veel verrot fruit.

Als je hier niet de verwachtingen hebt die passen bij een 4-sterren hotel is het ideaal voor een betaalbare stedentrip. Dit familiehotel ligt heel centraal in chique wijk. Metro (circle line, halte Gloucester Road, zone 1) is 3 min. lopen (rechts straat in, bij 2e zijstraat weer rechts, dan 100 m. lopen). Aan tafel wordt een volledig Engels ontbijt […] (witte bonen in tomatensaus, vette worstjes, spek, gebakken ei, wat brood, plak kaas of ham, jam, een stuk fruit, corn flakes, koffie, thee, warme chocolademelk, aanmaaksap) geserveerd. Niet echt heel lekker, maar vult wel de maag voor meer dan de helft van de dag. De mannen aan de receptie zijn vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. 2-persoonsbedden zijn niet breed (1.40). Er mag na het ontbijt tot 21.00 u. gebruik worden gemaakt van de keuken (hebben we niet gedaan). In de directe omgeving (straat van metrostation) zijn enkele lekkere restaurantjes en een supermarkt. Hoogtepunt van onze vakantie: de musical Lion King in het Lyceum Theatre (kaartjes kunnen via internet in Nederland worden geboekt). Het hotel ligt ideaal ten opzichte van het V&A museum, de verbindingen met het centrum zijn prima . Op zich redelijk hotel. Had er meer van verwacht. Ontbijt was erg mager, keukenpersoneel oost-europees en niet heel vriendelijk. Personeel balie en eigenaar hotel wel erg vriendelijk. This is one of the more inexpensive hotel rooms in London, but it shows in the size of the room. A very tiny room and bed that would be very uncomfortable for anyone 6' or taller. Bathroom similarly very small. Light in hallway a distraction when going to sleep as the transom above the entry door was glass and did not have a shade over it.

Stayed the night at this hotel which was comfortable and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was an experience with seemingly endless plates of fruit and cold meats being offered by very enthusiastic and friendly staff. The stay at St. Simeon was very pleasing. We enjoyed our stay because they made us feel at home, especially when it was breakfast time. Breakfast was so good! The hotel is right off the Piccadilly line, which is the direct line to Heathrow Airport...being that is was our first time to London that was essential. I lived in London for years knowing accomodation standard well,it didn't come as suprise the size of the room or the bed. at the same time we were going there just for a weekend,knowing we'd spend very little time in the room so it being small didn't bother us. bathroom was clean, shower super (great pressure, for London it's a wov!!! we were on ground […] floor though) staff is very helpful (although not much of smiley people), nice and willing to give you help with your stay (direction, suggestion etc); breakfast is huge and could sure fill you up for the whole morning. TV works fine with plenty of channels (no fancy stuff but can find good movies) dining room has TV and we used it for chat and drinks once back from our evening out. location is pretty good, close to the tube and a huge Sainsburys (supermarket),many places to eat nearby (head towards the tube or towards Earl's court) including pubs for a drink. if you are a "big" person be careful, our double bed was more like a big single one, not much of a problem for us but i know that many of the USA ppl visiting and writing on here might find it uncomfortable. I would just ask to renew the bath towel stock, some of them have clearly been washed too many times and are like sandpaper on your body. same with the pillows and the floor carpet, they've seen better days. this are small details, overall we enjoyed the place and we will sure consider it for our next weekend in London to see our friends. St. Simeon is a nice hotel in a very pleasant part of London. The staff were very helpful. Free Breakfast was excellent - a real surprise - and a solid start for a good days sightseeing. We also left an iPod which the staff found and helped to get back to us...nice to see honesty still exists!

Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was always huge and delicious. This hotel had a great location. Very close to the tube station and not too far from the Natural History Museum (a must see for families and it's free!) Don't expect the huge rooms and bathrooms many are accustomed to in North America but the sheets were clean and beds comfy.

When we checked in, the manager said that we had a very nice triple room. The first room we were given for my husband, my 13 year old and myself was so small you could barely move. It would be surprising if it had more than 3 meters of space for walking. It was so small one the headboard of one of the beds was in the closet, so the closet could not […] be used. I would have been impossible to stay there. After we complained, the manager moved us from the triple to a quad room, free of charge. This room was marginally better as there was a wardrobe in which we could store two suitcases. The room was in the basement, so after taking a shower, towels would never dry.
