Prenzlauer Berg is de wijk in Berlijn die beroemd is om zijn vele cafés en de trendy plek bij uitstek. De wijk werd zwaar beschadigd in de oorlog en werd daarna door het communistische regime verwaarloosd, maar nu zijn steeds meer gebouwen gerenoveerd en blijft de prijs van onroerend goed stijgen. Fantastisch hotel met mooie kamers. Het ontbijt is druk, maar uitstekend. Het is de moeite waard dit ook eens op de kamer te laten serveren! Wij kregen een suite, erg ruim, de kinderen (17 en 16) lagen wel op een opklapbed in de huiskamer, maar het was wel veel gezelliger dan dat we 2 kamers hadden gekregen, en erg ruim. "Schitterend Hotel in elk opzicht"
Ons verblijf was tot in de puntjes geregeld, een bezoek aan de sky-bar is een aanrader. Tram op steenworp afstand, rit tot Alexanderplatz 15 min. In het hotel werd alles geregeld zowel hop on hop off tickets als voor het totale openbaar vervoer, tevens alle soorten reserveringen er wordt alle moeite gedaan.Prima top hotel, wijhebben geen enkele minpunten […] beleeft tijdens ons verblijf van vijf dagen. Perfect gelegen hotel t.o.v. bereikbaarheid naar de stad. Tram stopt voor het hotel, binnen 5 a 7 minuten op de alexanderplatz. Parkeergarage waar je voor 10 euro per etmaal je auto veilig kan stallen. Service vlot en vriendelijk, genoeg personeel om in te checken. De kamer een plaatje, zeker de natte groep zeer modern en van grote klasse. Het ontbijt, […] (al is het druk je hoeft niet te wachten) is zeer uitgebreid. Goede TV met dvd speler. The hotel itself is lovely. The foyer is open and light, there is a computer station with at least 4 iMacs and a printer for use by all guests. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfy. I booked a standard room with breakfast and what a breakfast it was. Basically, don't plan on having lunch because if you take advantage […] of breakfast you won't need it! Antipasti that included cheese stuffed mushrooms and tomatoes. A large selection of cured meats and smoked salmon, and just as many cheeses. The cooked food included scrambled eggs, bacon sausages (of course) and then there were the waffles, berliners and danishes galore. There's also bircher muesli, fruits and an abundance of yoghurts for the health conscious/B far the highlight of my stay. The bar on the top floor also has a spectacular view of Berlin but after going out to other bars and restaurants in the city you'll notice that the prices are very expensive by comparison. Typical hotel prices. If you don't want to take a taxi from the airport or the main station which can cost up to 30euro the hotel is very easily accessed by Berlin's brilliant and user friendly public transport system. There is the Landsberger Allee tram stop directly outside and the train station of the same name is a 5 minute walk. The tram will also take you to Alexander Platz within 12 minutes and Mitte in 15, which is good as there really isn't anything within walking distance of the hotel. We chose this hotel to get our daily swimming exercise in the huge swimming arena next door and still have easy access to the city centre by train and tram. That worked beautifully and we loved the huge suite rooms that only cost a little extra. Breakfast buffet was busy but very well stocked and the hotel desk was very helpful. Had wonderful time in this hotel, enjoyed every minute. Excellent rooms, neat, fresh and comfortable. It was freezing cold outside and room felt a bit cool at times, but that was minor issue. Andel's exceed my expectations and was great value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only annoyance was a snapping sound from the walls at night. The reception also charged me for a mineral water I did not consume but agreed to refund the amount when I pointed out the error. This hotel was perfect! The rooms are well designed so make great use of space and everything was in working order (climate control/tv/speakers in bathroom). The staff are helpful and polite. Computers were free to use, great for quickly looking up an attraction/restaurant. Housekeeping staff were amazing, they even folded my pyjamas and put them on […] my side of the bed. Amazing view from the top floor bar.The restaurants were good but not great, you can get better value for money in town. It's right next to the train station, we were able to get all around Berlin easily. I also like having tea and coffee available in the room so that was a bonus. Hotel Andels was excellent and had a very comfortable stay. They were efficient and when we had to check out super early at 4am and couldn't make it for the 6.30am breakfast, they even made us a little lunchbox to take away to the airport. The breakfast was included and that definitely added to the value. The spread on offer was very good and fresh. […] I'm normally very fussy with things and can highly recommend this hotel. The surrounding area isn't amazing but this hotel is good for the value as it includes breakfast and wifi in rooms for free. We were very impressed by this hotel. Though it's about 10 minutes tram ride from the centre, the trams are very frequent (every 3-4 minutes) and we preferred the slightly less frenetic atmosphere. The S bahn station over the road made our transfer from Tegel airport easy - about 25 minutes. Our room was not massive but perfectly good for 3 nights and […] very clean and well designed. We've just left The hotel & would like to highly recommend it. Finding the hotel was easy enough and can be seen from the station, so no hassle there. We arrived from Tegal airport and were at the hotel within 30 minutes. The hotel is very modern looking and looks very funky inside and out. The room was nice and spacious, with really comfy beds, a large […] shower enclosure and LCD tv and tea/ coffee facilities. I'd highly recommend booking the breakfast too which was varied and really fresh every day. Like I mentioned previously, the hotel is right next to the station and tram stop which makes getting into central Berlin a breeze (not to mention any other tourist site). One final tip is to download the Tripadvisor app before you travel. It works totally offline and will literally take you within feet of any destination using your gps! Second stay at Andels. Love the hotel, its location , food staff, ambience,suits us down to the ground. Unexpected bonus this year were the 2 Berlin Welcome cards for the 4 days we were staying. When given them I informed the receptionist that I had already purchased Welcome Cards at the Airport, she replied " no problem sir take them to the concierge […] and he will refund you the money".
