Cosmo Fashion Hotel in Budapest

nice hotel, simple but all you need. staff friendly and helpful, one let down would have to be the food, breakfast very limited and food in restaurant not up to much. handy location for seeing round the city.

My wife and I had booked an apartment for a long stay in Budapest. When we arrived, we found the apartment was not ready and we needed a hotel for 3 nights. We chose the Cosmo. This was one of the smartest moves we could have made! The room was spacious (by European standards). It had been renovated recently, and it looked that way. Everything was bright, […] clean, and modern. The decor was black and white, with lilac-colored beds and fixtures. Immaculately clean, with nice complimentary amenities, our stay was made even more enjoyable by the lovely complimentary breakfast buffet, which had a large variety of meats, cheeses, dry cereals, yougurt, breads, and fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff was always gracious, especially Peter. Like most people in Budapest, no one here was fluent in English, but everyone spoke enough that we got by quite well. We really enjoyed our stay at the Cosmo. And the location - not near, but directly on - Vaci Utca, one block from the Great Market, was perfect. Lees meer

My sister and I were delighted with this modern and very convenient hotel. Great value for money. Spacious room, good air con and nice bathroom. Fridge and safe very handy. Helpful reception staff, not so helpful breakfast buffet staff. The buffet could have been a little better re-plenished. Our only real difficulty was the fact that the wall with […] the adjoining room was so thin that any noise that was made could be easily heard. Could hear the next door man snoring and he complained that we were making too much noise when we were simply talking (albeit loudly). Could see the Danube looking out the hotel window and restaurants in the street we were staying in. We have stayed in a lot of European City hotels and this would certainly be up there with the best. I chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation and it was a good choice. It's located on the popular pedestrian street in Budapest, close to the Danube, which is an excellent base for checking out the city. The hotel was clean and well-run. Breakfast was included, but it was very basic (cereal, bread, cold meat), which apparently is typical in […] Hungary, so no big deal. I would recommend this hotel to others, but avoid the restaurant across the street from the entrance of the hotel. They will rip you off horribly with their arbitrary prices. Lees meer

The bed rooms are excellent and all requirements available. Perfect location. Breakfast room was poor and uncomfortable. The food was poorly presented and the quality not great. Staff were poorly trained. Reception staff were excellent and most helpfull.

We have just returned home from a very enjoyable short break to Budapest. We had been there recently and stayed in a different hotel which was not nearly the same standard as the Cosmo Fashion. The modern rooms are quite large and very clean. Each has its own flat screen television and mini bar. We had two large windows looking out onto Vaci Utca which was really lovely. The ensuite is also spaceous and the power shower is excellent. I had a proper hairdryer with a nozzle! It makes all the difference!!! I have been to Budapest quite a number of times now and have never been to this part of Vaci Utca. I found it to be nicer and not as commercial as that part nearer the square. We spent 4 nights here between Xmas and New Years. The location for exploring both Buda and Pest is excellent. If you don't fancy the 20-minute walk or so up to Parliament, you're very near a metro station too. 2 minutes walk to central market and liberty bridge. Right on Vaci Utca which has a good range of shops and historic buildings. For dining, […] you're also right by Raday Utca which has some excellent restaurants for all tastes. The room was very clean and comfortable - we were facing just off Vaci Utca which though a main street, never caused us any noise problems. And despite the cold outside we were never cold in the room. It did have AC but we didn't use it. Only 2 negatives I can think of: The breakfast was basic, though I gather this is standard in Hungary. Cereals, meats and cheese, and scambled egg and strange orange/pink sausage if you wanted something hot. There were apparently pastries, but it seems you have to be up early to get them as we only ever saw one in 4 mornings! Quality-wise, it was all fine, just not the most inspiring. We tended to have a quick bite then grab a pastry later in the day. The only other negative, and this is a bit nit-picky, was our FREE COSMOPOLITAN cocktail was actually just orange juice. Not a major inconvenience, but they shot themselves in the foot a bit, as had it been nice (or indeed, even vaguely alcoholic) we might have had a couple more before hitting the streets for dinner. Our stay at Cosmo Fashion Hotel was great. We arrived to the hotel around midnight and the reception at check-in was great .. he told us all about the festival going on at the weekend, hotel amenities, and location. Our room was exactly as expected - small but comfortable. We had a double bed which is what we requested. The location couldn't have been […] better for our trip as our friends who we were visiting live about a block away and the location of the hotel is right near the food market which is a must see and the right on the tourist street and a block away from the Danube River. Budapest was gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay there.. especially with such a great price for the hotel with breakfast included! The breakfast was nice, and all of the staff were helpful. The only advise I can give is to always book a taxi and check the price beforehand because we got a few different prices for various trips around the city which should have been similar in price. Make sure you get a fixed price to the airport! We did get ripped off a time or two during our stay with the taxis we hadn't booked or checked price beforehand. Dans l'ensemble l'hotel est correct et bien situé, l'accueil est bon mais en rechanche quelques points sont à améliorer : - Le petit déjeuner est un peu cher pour la qualité des produits servis et le café soluble le matin c'est un peu dur. - Par ailleurs même si j'avais une grande chambre, propre et bien agencée, les chambres de l'hotel communicant […] entre elles par une simple porte fermée à clé, je pouvais profiter de tous les bruits et les discussions de mes voisins. - si vous recherchez calme et intimité ce n'est pas l'hotel qu'il vous faut. - literie et couvertures un peu justes, je mesure 1m90 et pas de matelas de 2m à dispo. E numa rua de comércio intenso. Estações de metro a 200 m. Serviço eficiente, limpo. Café da manhã buffet, boa qualidade. Muito satisfeita, de acordo com preço pago.

Hotelli sijaitsee lähellä Central Market Hall -kauppahallia. Lähellä on myös raitiovaunupysäkkejä, joilta pääsee helposti eri suuntiin. Hotellihuoneen ikkunasta ulos kurkistaessa näkyy Tonava. Hotellin aamiainen on runsas ja hyvä. Vastaanottovirkailijat ovat ystävällisiä ja avuliaita.

trevligt hotell med bra läge, nyrenoverat och bra service. enda nackdelen var att det var otroligt lyhört till grannrummet.

Hotellet er hyggelig og ligger meget sentralt. Koselig betjening, bra mat. Fine rom med gode farger. Det som trekker litt ned er at air condition på vårt dobbeltrom ikke virket og at heisen sto 3 kvelder, noe den også gjorde under vårt besøk i juni 2011. Kommer likevel til å bruke hotellet igjen.

Buen hotel con una inmejorable situación, la única pega que le pongo es que cuando fuimos dos veces a cenar en el restaurante del hotel no pudimos hacerlo porque había una fiesta privada. No obstante volvería alojarme en este hotel.

Bra läge och fräscht, duktig personal, enda minuset var frukosten -torr och gammal. Ät hellre ute vilket dessutom är mera trevligt i en sådan stad iaf.

Standard modtagelse med reklamer o.lign. udemærket lille værelse. Der er meget lydt. Støj fra gangen og naboværelset høres tydeligt. Aircon. virker fint. Mulighed for at åbne et vindue er et stort plus. Dårlig information om faciliteterne på hotellet. Skal lige nævnes at der i hotellets brochurer står skrevet at der skal tjekkes ud kl. 12.00 det er […] altså kl. 11... Lees meer

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold !

Ett hotell som vi gärna återkommer till. Rent och fint. Bra och vänlig service. Frukosten helt OK.

Siisti keskitason hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla aivan kävelykadun kupeeessa. Kylpyhuoneessa vähän laskutasoa mutta pärjää kyllä. Aamupala ihan riittävä .Siivous toimii päivittäin. Puhe saattaa kuulua naapurihuoneista.

Hotellet ligger perfekt til i Vaci Utcas nederste del i nærheten av den store markedshallen. Det er masse restauranter i nærheten, og kort vei til shopping. Hotellets standard er topp, og rommet vårt var akkurat som på bildet. Var gratis trådløs internet på rommet som fungerte perfekt. Er meget fornøyd med kvaliteten og renholdet på rommene, og senga […] var meget konfortabel. Vi hadde vindu mot gågata, men så lenge vinduet var lukket kunne vi ikke høre noe støy uten i fra. Det eneste negative jeg kan finne, men dette er pirk; er at frokosten stengte kl 10. Kunne gjerne vært åpen en time til, slik at det ble mindre stress om morgenen. Alt i alt, anbefaler jeg hotellet på det sterkeste. Kommer til å dra tilbake uten tvil. Lees meer

Værelserne er lidt små, men de fungerer og interiøret er nyt og pænt. Badeværelset er fint. Til hotellet er knyttet en restaurant, som man skal igennem for at komme ind i hotelområdet. Meget lille og sparsom reception. Restaurantens morgenmad er af meget svingende kvalitet - i bedste fald: ok. Desuden et meget mørkt lokale og med ungarnsk radio kørende […] for fuld udblæsning. Man må ikke spise morgenmad ved bordene ude på gaden eller ved bordene i den anden ende af lokalet, så man kunne slippe for radio - eller evt. nyde en lun morgen udendørs. Lees meer

Väldigt bra läge att utgå ifrån när man vill se mycket i Budapest. Ganska trist frukost men helt OK att starta dagen med. Hårda sängar men annars väldigt bra "utrustning" på rummet. Bra taxiservice till och från flygplatsen som hotellet gärna hjälpte till med. Trygg bagageinlämning (inlåst) så att man kunde utnyttja hela sista dagen fram till hemresan. Excellent staff! Corteous! Hospitable! Humane! Rooms are outstanding! The restaurant is a warm elegant place where to dine or lunch or enjoy the breakfast morning! The restaurant staff has a marvellous smile! Such a sweet creature. I'm looking forward to coming back! Don't miss Cosmo's hotel!

Stayed 3 Nights in november 2010. Did not expect such a nice room for that price. Would really recommend. Vaci utza is the touristy road with lots of restaurants and bars. Only thing i did not like was the steak in the inhouse restaurant. If you like an excellent one go to Argentinian restaurant pampa around the corner of the central market (good for […] the spicy salamis), 3min walk. .. Columbus ship is nice for a friday/saturday salsa dance... mammut shopping mall has several bars for the night... have fun... Lees meer

Ottima posizione (raggiungibili tutti i punti di interesse a piedi, con tram/bus o metro) e rapporto qualità/prezzo. Colazione non troppo ricca, ma comunque soddisfacente. Hotel moderno con stile. Personale gentilissimo nel'aiutare il cliente.

Mycket bra prisvärt hotell med toppenläge. Det som var lite negativt var frukostytan som var lite konstigt knöligt planerad. Blev lite struligt när det blev fler än 5 personer som ville hämta mat. Långsam kaffemaskin. Men det kan man ju leva med, med tanke på att allt det andra var bra med hotellet :)

Nytt, fräscht hotell. Beläget mitt på gågatan Vaci Utca, ett ögonkast från Donau och Bridge of Liberty. Centralt. Bra restaurang som gav rabatt, välkomstdrink och bra service. Bott på andra hotell i Budapest men inget slår detta.

Lite, intimt hotell midt i gågata. Vennlig og serviceinnstilt personale. God frokost. Rent og delikat op rommene. Nyoppusset 2010. meget rimelig. Flust med restaurante like utenfor døra. Kort vei til severdigheer. ANBEFALES!

Das hotel cosmos fashion liegt direkt an einer restaurant und einkaufs strasse! Die donau liegt ca. 250m hinter dem hotel! Die bedienung an der reception ist sehr sehr freundlich und aufgestellt, die bedienung im restaurant ist nicht der hit! ( wächselt ständig ) das zimmer ist modern eingerichtet, allerdings ist die tapete nicht schön mondiert, das […] bad klein und es wurde trotz aufforderung nicht gereingt! Ansonsten war es angenehm! Hotelli on hiljakkoin remontoitu. Huoneet siistejä ja mainio ilmastointi. Sänky hyvä ja leveä. Siivooja kävi joka päivä, petasi petin ja toi puhtaat pyyhkeet. Ihanaa luxusta! Sijainti ostoskadun, Vaci Utcan varrella on mainio. Hotelli ei ole paras mahdollinen lapsiperheelle. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja palvelualtista. L'ostello è in ottima posizione, le camere bene tenute e pulite, il personale gradevole e molto dsponibile, un ottimo affare qualità prezzo... Le stanze sono grandie i letti comodi, per una vacanza tra amici è l'ideale!
