Stayed here for 2 before continuing our holidays. More than expected and very large unit. Definately stay again - great value. Staff very helpful
"A Great Getaway Location"
This was a highlight of our recent trip to NZ. The room was clean, very big and easily accomodated the three of us with room to spare, and with great facilities. We enjoyed a quiet drink at the end of the day and met some of the staff who were friendly and helpful. Everything was excellent. Would gladly stay there again. Was very handy to town centre and walkable distance to numerous things to do.

Leaving was the only downer during our stay at the Scenic Hotel. It was a delightful place to readjust following our long flight from USA to NZ. The location was quiet, yet within walking distance of the waterfront. The room was well appointed, clean, and restful. We will check out these hotels for future New Zealand nights.

Hotel was great & in great location. Front desk service great. Felt rushed by maids looking to clean up ... restaurant staff a little too eager to make sure you arent eating and not paying. But overall good

The staff were very lovely and friendly. The hotel its self was clean, tidy and very modern. The only 1 issue I had was the room we were in had a gap at the bottom of the door. When other guests from other rooms were outside smoking unfotunately the smell of smoke would come into the room. This upset my youngest with his asthma. When I arrived I was asked for a $100 dollar bond I have never had this before anywhere else i have stayed and i am a travelling salesman when i said i didnt have it the girl on the desk wasn't going to let me stay when i had already paid online for the $100 for bond next time i wouldn't be able to stay? As i am travelling up paihia fortnightly and […] staying in a motel so annually staying about 30 nights a per year this adds up to a significant amount of money. "NO AC in the room"
They was no AC in my room. The room had lots of dust and when we turn on thr fan. We could feel the dust flowing inside our room. My wife had lot of cough afterwards. They need to keep room clean and dust free if possible.

My friend and I (both female) stayed at this hotel the week of April 18 for a few nights. Got a great deal on hotels.com. Pros: - Price - Receptionist and service were really nice. - Spacious room for two female travelers (we got two queen beds). - Clean bathroom - Slept fine Cons: - Although the room was clean, had a feeling it wasn't. A bit of musty […] smell. The sheets were clean (although my friend found a bug in her sheets the first night). - The blanket/top cover seemed like it needed a cleaning. - After two nights, housekeeping didn't stock up on our toiletries. - Bathroom was clean. The bathroom shower stall was clean but not your typical 5-star/tiled stall. Vinyl/budget feel. The counterspace for the bathroom sink wasn't much. Had to leave my personal toiletries in the rack behind the sink (which was fine). - It's about a 8 minute walk to the Wharf/"center" of town. - No free internet. - To get to our room, we had to go outside and walk about 3 minutes to get to our room, rolling our luggage on cobble stone (not smooth) surface. "Fabulous Stay"
The hotel was very nice, in a nice location, our room was upgraded which was good, it was huge and very clean. We could walk to wherever we wanted to go, it wasn't far but far enough to walk off your dinner. Would definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here, a must the sailing adventure on board the Lion of New Zealand! The Skipper and crew were great, had a briiliant day sailing, canoeing and BBQ.

"BEAUTIFUL, unsuspecting hotel in great location!"
The outside of this hotel does not do it justice! The room seemed to have been newly renovated with modern furnishings and appliances. It was such a pleasant surprise! We were very comfortable and loved the townhouse style arrangement. The shower was fantastic and the kitchen area was nice. Would have been nice to have a microwave though!
"Bay of Islands Hotel just outside of Paihia"
This was a clean and very comfortable hotel. Our only regret was that we did not plan much time to stay around the hotel to enjoy the town and the room. Other than the early check-out time (10AM), we had a good stay here. "Good location only a 5 minute walk to sea front"
A good hotel, clean and tidy, friendly helpful staff. The room was large and clean no complaints there, food, excellent evening meals with a wine deal on at the time. The hotel is only 5 minutes to the sea front where you can get a boat trip to see dolphins in the ocean, well worth it. 30 minute walk to the Treaty grounds.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It doesn't look much from the outside but it is clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable on the inside. We also loved the tropical landscaping - beautifully done. You could completely relax in the comfortable room. The beds were really comfy too. Would definitely stay here again.

町の中心地と海岸まで徒歩10分足らずの環境ですが、庭の芝生も美しく静かで環境の良いところでした。我々は一階の部屋にアサインされたので問題なかったですが、もし二階の部屋だったら荷物を持っての移動がちょっと大変かもしれないと思います。お部屋も広々としていて清潔でした。クイーンベッドのツインルームでしたが、8歳の双子を連れての家族四人旅行でも快適でした。シャワーにバスタブはありません。お部屋にキチネットがあればもっとよかったとは思いますが、湯沸かしとティーセットはあります。冷蔵庫内にはミニバーのドリンクがたくさん入っており自分の飲み物を入れるスペースは少なめです。
