Admiral Hotel in Genève

Very nice except that the lights in the room were a bit dim for reading.

The room was very clean with everything needed. The breakfast was very tasty. This is a really good choice for this price.

Booked through hotels.com and got two nights for a very reasonable price. Staff was friendly and helpful offering suggestions for restaurants and bars nearby. Even lent us an adapter for the stay. Spent 2 nights with my wife an young son. Found hotel staff very helpful. Location very convenient: 2 mins from main train station (which is 10mins from airport), 10 mins walk from main shopping areas or 5 mins by tram. The city is so easy to get around with the free travel pass and great public transport. Didn't mind hotel being on edge of red light […] area, it's not "in your face"! Great buffet breakfast selection to get your day started. Room was comfortable and clean. The hotel has some character, i.e. it is not a newly renovated "out-of-box" business hotel but the bathroom had been renovated recently and the cleanliness was good. Lees meer

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Geneva train station. Very convenient. The area around the hotel is a red light district but I walked around after dark by myself, I am a female, and felt safe. The lobby and our room were clean and neat. With our 2 suitcases and 2 carry on bags there was not a lot of walking around space left in the room. My only […] real complaint is the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself was adequate but the girl who was suppose to be filling up the juice pitchers and the scrambled eggs and bacon did not do her job and there was no bacon and very little eggs for us to eat. I had to go and find her the first morning and ask for orange juice because the pitcher was empty. Over all this is a nice place to stay. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive, and the room was clean and comfortable. Good location, only four blocks from the train station, and about the same to Lake Geneva. I had a room on the front of the building, and, with the window open, did get some late-night street disturbances. small room, no air conditioning. Clean, but very expensive for what it was. Centre of red light district, probably not good with kids. Good breakfast. Parking des Alpes is a known drug pass according to police, our car was broken into overnight.

The hotel, once we found it...looked nice from this sites picture...BUT...be warned...right next door to it is a big sex-shop and there were many single "ladies", wearing hardly any clothing...near to the hotel, and on the corners of nearby roads. The staff were ok, but receptionist didnt have much english and that was difficult. Eventually, we got […] into a small lift (takes 2 people but no luggage) and got into our room. There was a kettle and cups in there BUT...no usual coffee sachets...only various teabag flavours. The housemaid was right outside our room and I asked for the coffee satchets and she said NO COFFEE HERE...ONLY TEA and promptly walked off. Even if I had of liked tea...there was no milk little cartons either in the room...so after a long journey and flight...thaqt was un-acceptable for hotel rooms these days I have to say. Very good location - near the train station, and not difficult to find if you have and address and map. Lots of places to eat nearby; I went down the street and found a random kebab place which was good. They give you a public transit pass valid during your stay (this seems to be common amongst hotels in Geneva/Lausanne). Breakfast was very good and […] included. Hotel itself was very nice: people very friendly, very modern and clean with lots of services (free wif-fi etc). Breakfast was definitely the highlight with a yummy selection of fruit and pastries. However, being in the red light district means that once night falls you can see a lovely shop selling prostitutes in the window - they stay behind the glass […] though and do not approach or hassle so you feel perfectly safe! Overall the hotel was close to the Geneva train station and the rooms were clean. While we were there, the lift (elevator) was broken and we had to carry our luggage up to the fifth floor. Outside the hotel were about seven prostitutes (during the day) and sex shops. I would not recommend this hotel with families traveling with children, however it is a good location and hotel for young adults that want to be in a vibrant neighborhood looking for action. I was in Geneva for the Mapping Festival 2011 - this hotel is perfect for anyone travelling to the festival. Good rates, very clean, friendly and safe hotel. Very comfy rooms and good facilities.

a small hotel in the middle of the small red light area of Geneva. No frills - a basic bed and breakfast place. No room service.

Good value with comfortable clean rooms and good staff service. Very convenient to train station and Lake Geneva. Excellent breakfast included. Neighborhood may be a little sketchy.

Hotellet ligger lige rundt om hjørnet, til alt tæt på stationen, promenaden og city. Et fint lille hotel med rigtig god betjening. Der kan forekomme lidt støj fra gaden.

Hotelli on pieni eikä itse rakennus ole enää ihan uusi, mutta muuten se täytti odotukset. Huone oli hieman ahdas, mutta se oli siisti ja siivottiin säntillisesti. Sänky oli hyvä. Ahdas hissi kuljettaa kerrallaan vain yhden aikuisen laukkuineen. Huoneessa piti oleman langaton nettiyhteys, mutta en saanut siihen läppärilläni yhteyttä. Kone väitti, ettei […] sellaista ole. Samoina päivinä sama kone toimi kyllä muualla kaupungissa olevissa vastaavissa verkoissa. Ala-aulassa on kaksi ilmaista tietokonetta nettiyhteyksineen asiakkaiden käytettävissä ja ne toimivat hyvin. Erityismaininnan ansaitsee tämä hotellin tavallisen tasokas ja runsas sveitsiläinen aamiainen. Itse hotelli oli erittäin hiljainen ja rauhallinen, vaikka sen sijaintialue rautatieaseman ja Genevenjärven välissä on hieman levoton. Ymmärtääkseni asuinajankohtanani asukkaita oli hotellissa vähän. Ympäristössä on runsaasti mukavia ravintoloita ja kahviloita, mutta valitettavasti jonkin verran myös yhteiskunnan laitapuolen ilmiöitä. Vaikka ollaan Sveitsissä, ympäristö on nähnyt parhaat päivänsä, mitä voi pitää tämän hotellin suurimpana miinuksena. Itse hotellissa asumista se ei haittaa. Lees meer

Zentral gelegen, doch mit einer ein bisschen komischen Umgebung. Das Pendant zur Langstrasse in Zürich. Das Hotel ist jedoch sauber, das Personal freundlich und die Preise günstig.

Très bien situé, calme mais chambre plutôt petite. Bon service.

Muito bom o hotel, limpo, bem decorado, cafe da manha, com requinte de 5 estrelas, tenho experiencias de varios hoteis 5 estrelas pela Europa, mas esse de 3 estrelas nao ficou nada a desejar e foi escolhido pela localizacao. O unico problema foi o elevador com defeito por mais de 6 horas. Mas isso acontece!
