Doge Traditional Hotel - Apartments in Chania

Doge Hotel is superb; great location just a stones throw from Chania harbour, beautiful large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. It really is a great hotel. And the breakfast is brilliant... Well worth booking! Would definately recommend and will certainly come back!!

Very close to all interesting views(Museums etc..),very close to the Port, very close from shops, cafes and Taverns.Excellent Location

This "hotel" is in fact an extraordinarily furnished set of rooms in adjacent restored buildings in the old city, about 50-100 yards away from the "office." You are close to everything, shops, restaurants, galleries, museums, churches, mosques, the oldest and last synagogue in Crete, the beautiful old habor front, and the Venetian walls and towers. […] The "office" offers an excellent breakfast and has mid-morning coffee, snacks, and beverages. Reception is in a shop. The friendly and easy-going girls told me that they have 18 rooms in three different buildings. The pictures show romantic beds in spacious rooms. Perhaps because I requested twin beds the assigned room was more sober yet cheerful. I did question the 13.5 TOG feather down duvets though. The outside temperature was 30 degrees! […] Answer: Take them out and put them in the wardrobe. We did! Our room had an attractive balcony and was at the back in a renovated building in a quiet alley UNTIL 23 hrs, when the bar opposite came to life. The Doge is in a great location in the Old Town in Hania. The room/studio was very spacious and comfortable. It was on the ground floor and faced on to a small alleyway at the back. We booked and paid in advance for two nights at the Doge Hotel. We warned them in advance that we would check-in late but when we arrived about 10 at night we were taken to some rooms a couple of streets away and told that this was the only possibility. The room we were given was adequate but dark and in a dilapidated building. It was certainly not […] anything like the hotel's web-site advertised. We received no explanation or apology. After travelling non-stop for some time coming to rest our heads at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast hotel was a god send. Clean and wonderfully presented we left as satisfied customers. Not to mention the delicious breakfast that was prepared for us fresh every morning! Is smack bang in the middle of old town Chania which is perfect unless you like […] to go to bed early, the restaurants and live music are a buzz until well after 12 every night. Hotel is located in the pedestrian area of chania. Best place for outgoing in all directions and in one minute you are at the seafront. Rooms in the guesthouse are equipped with harmonised cute furnitures. Little bit dusty on top of the additional integrated en-suite bathroom and the wardrobe. Breakfast is ok and enough. If it is warm and sunny you […] could have your breakfast outside, Service is very friendly (family buisness). WLAN is available in the hotel. The only one which has really disturbed us in the night was the barking dog in the house on the opposite street side (maybe 3 mtr. distance between our window and the balcony where the dog is living) Lees meer

wonderful quaint hotel in an convenient location. good breakfast and very friendly people. our room had a loft which was fun, but you had to go down the stairs at night to use the bathroom.

A lovely place to stay if you're looking to explore western Crete. Located in a charming part of the old city a few paces from the waterfront and restaurants. The owner and staff were great and very helpful. The only surprise was the absence of parking as vehicles are not allowed in that part of the old city... so plan for a (short) walk along the waterfront […] and into the historic properties to plenty of free public parking. Siisti ja viihtyisä hotelli aivan Hanian vanhan kaupungin keskustassa. Hotellissa kahvilla, josta henkilökunta oli löydettävissä. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Huoneemme sijaitsi vastapäisessä rakennuksessa. Huone oli tilava ja siisti. Kuitenkin kaikki hotellikuvauksessa kerrotut asiat oli useimmiten pyydettävä erikseen mm. vedenkeitin ja hiustenkuivaaja […] puuttuivat, tV:ssä kanavat näkyivät huonosti, langaton internet ei toiminut yms. Siivous oli päivittäin. Aamupalaan kuului kahvi/tee, kinkku-juusto toast ja pasteijoita, kreikkalaista jogurttia ja hunajaa sekä tuore appelsiinimehu. Kaikin puoli ok kokemus, mutta on muistettava, että hotelli on kahden tähden hotelli. Ehkä Haniasta on löydettävissä hinta-laatusuhteeltaa parempia yöpymispaikkoja, niitä ainakin vanha kaupunki näytti olevan tulvillaan. Lees meer

The location is quite good, near the port, surrounded by nice restaurants, which means it could be a bit noisy at night. We stayed in a double-bed room, but it can actually sleep 3 people. Staffs are kind and helpful. The breakfast is awesome, serving from 9 to whenever you wake up, with bread, preserves, butter, a huge bottle of coffee, Greek yogurt, […] sandwiches with ham and cheese, and a glass of fresh orange juice. Hotellet er et et koselig hotell beliggende i gamlebyen i Chania. Alle bekvemligheter er like i nærheten. Kan trygt anbefales til alle som trives i byen,.

Très bien situé, simple, plus une chambre d'hôte qu'un hôtel. Les chambres donnant sur la rue doivent être bruyantes en été.

Bien situado, con encanto y buen desayuno, pero algo descuidado en el mantenimiento y chapuzas varias en la instalación eléctrica . El cuarto de baño muy pequeño y a falta de una remodelación urgente

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία, πολύ καθαρό και φιλόξενο περιβάλλον. Πολύ καλή περιποίηση, ενδιαφέρουσα αισθητική στα δωμάτια και καλό πρωινό.

Παραδοσιακή-ethnic ατμόσφαιρα, δωμάτια που αποπνέουν ρομαντισμό, στην καρδιά της παλιάς πόλης, σε ένα πεζόδρομο χωρίς φασαρία. Φιλικότατο περιβάλλον και εξυπηρετικοί άνθρωποι - σε κάνουν να νιώθεις ότι θέλεις να ξαναπάς.

Hotellet lå veldig sentralt til for Chania sentrum, veldig bra beliggenhet nær havna og den delen av byen.
