Het hotel ligt in een buitenwijk van Londen, maar is door het goede openbaar vervoer zeer goed, zowel dag als nacht, bereikbaar. Het hotel is wat verouderd, de kamers zijn klein, het ontbijt sober en de capaciteit van ontbijtkamer voor een vol hotel echt ontoereikend. After reading the reviews about the place I was a bit apprehensive to stay here, but I found it to be quite decent and suitable. I would say this is more like a youth hostel, but for the price its quite a good deal. You get your own bathroom and free breakfast, so how can you go wrong? Hell, for the price and the amenities included its actually cheaper […] than a dodgy youth hostel. There are some renovations still going on as other reviewers mentioned, but it never disturbed my sleep. The only thing that did was our room was across from the communal breakfast room, which is in the sub-basement. The door kept flapping opened and closed all morning. If you do plan on eating the free breakfast make sure to get in there early as it fills up really quickly! And aim for a room that is not so close to the chow hall. The location is actually in a rather rough neighborhood, so if you're traveling alone try to aim for a daytime arrival or travel in a larger group. We were in a group of 3 and had no problems, but we definitely got some looks from some of the local trash wheeling our bags around after getting out of the Peckham-Rye Train Station. Fresh meat in the Hood! If you buy the Oyster card in the city you can get anywhere for around 7 pounds a day. It is pretty easy to find Peckham Lodge via the night buses but you should avoid the train station at night as it is pretty deep in the ghetto. Overall I'd say if you're on a budget it doesn't get any better than this. London is an extremely expensive city, so if you can save some money on a cheap room and a free breaky, then you're set with this. To all the people that complained before, this is a budget location in Europe, what the hell do you expect for this kind of money? Currently a building site, the room was tiny with no windows, bathroom wasnt clean, the first night i was woken by a member of staff trying to get into my room at 2am, the second night i was woken at 1am by some noisey guests arriving, the walls are paper thin and you will hear what your neighbours are doing. value for money but neighbourhood fairly unsafe and quite noisy

I found the reception staff rude and aggressive and the quality of the hotel poor. Currently the hotel is under referbishment and in one corridor there was no lighting with a porter guiding guests by torch light! The bed was clean however the ensuite smelt of drains and was off putting. I would never stay here again!!

The room I was given was in the basement, a bit dark and dingy,, and very small.. The place was more hostel than hotel but it was clean and the staff were helpful. As I was only in London and on a short business trip it was fine but wouldn't recomend it for anything other than that....

Busy hotel, not the best service on arrival. The room was basic but adequate, the worst part was the sirens every 10 minutes or so, and it's a bit of a walk from the tube. Reasonably convenient to central London for the price but won't be staying again

No hot water, no water pressure, wireless almost never works, doing construction all the time (was kicked out of my room for construction for an hour), the fire alarms went off several times (once past midnight when I just fell asleep, another time a six in the morning, not great). The room was clean enough though, and the service was okay by the people […] here (there is 24 hour front desk). Another negative is the key cards would randomly stop working and you had to reactivate them all the time. It is an old building too and NOT soundproof at all. The neighborhood is a bit questionable as well and I would not recommend being out too late after dark. I likely would have been better of in a hostel, would have saved money at least, this place was fine but in the long run not worth a long term stay - just go to a hostel. Lees meer

Me and my boyfriend wanted to spend a few nights in London to relax and not spend a great lot of money on it. When we arrived in London we first had to realise that not only is the hotel located very far away from the city center, it is also in one of the unsafest areas (the cab driver who took us to the hotel advised us to not go outside after 9 pm). […] The staff of Peckham Lodge was apathetic and unhelpful but led us through the construction materials scattered everywhere to our room which was ridiculously small, had obviously not been cleaned in a while and showed several moldy spots at the ceiling and in the drapes. We decided to leave the next day even though we had booked 4 nights. The construction works going on during the day were very loud and in the early hours of the morning I was woken up by a loud argument about the poor quality of the hotel coming from outside our room. Before breakfast hotel guests seemed to leave in hoards. I would not recommend anyone to even get close to this place as it is entirely unacceptable and just plain dirty. Luckily, the customer service team of hotels.com provided stellar support and we spend the remainder of our stay in another hotel booked through them. Lees meer

I got exactly what I wanted: a small, but very clean room. Like I asked, the room, in despite of beein on a main road, was queiet indeed. The team was very polite and friendly.

We arrived on the saturday 8th June for a one night stay.The car parking at the back very limited, and managed to get the last space. The breakfast consisted of breakfast cereals and toast and tea or coffee. The seating for the breakfast room crowded, and they are building a new breakfast room in front of the hotel. This hotel was clean enough and good for short stays, especially if you are going to be out and about a lot. However "breakfast" consisted of cereal and toast. We ended up eating out for breakfast most of the days we were there. Pretty pleased otherwise. Good for singles or young couples traveling.

The Hotel had interpreted a booking made for 3 single beds as a double and a single. It took a while to get them to move us. The Hotel is undergoing very major renovations at the moment, with the whole front being dug up. The car park is very small and on a first come first served basis. their interpretation of a continental breakfast is really a toaster […] in the corner with some cereal and a coffee machine. Thought I was getting a good deal when I booked as the location was good and the price was reasonable. However, for the quality of the rooms, bathrooms and general facilities this place is way overpriced.

DO NOT STAY THERE!!! My mother and I checked in and checked out the same night. The locks did not work, the heater was broken so it could not be moved with out burning yourself, the "clean" sheets had stains as large as a 5 pound note, and the towels were not clean. Also the bathroom was disgusting, I do not mind sharig a bathroom as long as it is clean. […] The locals in the town helped us get a new room because they told us we would not be safe there. The shops around the lodge had signs up stating "Drugs will not be tollorated. If found the police will be called." I would never recommond anyone to stay there in fact you could not pay me to stay there. After we checked in we keep our valabules locked in the car, ate, and checked out. Lees meer

I live in the countryside of London and to avoid to wait the train between 3am and 7am (first train on Sunday morning); we booked a hotel. The hotel is on the bus line 12 (direct to piccadilly and oxford circus) and 171 (direct to elephant and castle); so it was very easy to go there. However the hotel is very simple, no decoration, the bathroom is […] small but is enough to have a shower (even if the sink was block), the bed is big. I found we got what we paid for it was good for the price it was close to the bus stop and the staff were helpful no complaints really the breakfast was a bit of a let down but there are loads of cafes wit lovely food for cheap nearby. We stayed there for six nights and if i was goin over again and didnt hav a lot of money i would stay again

Nice for a short stay in London at a reasonable price...

Many of the reviews talk about how horrible this place is, but I did not find it to be so bad. Staff was incredibly friendly and professional and even showed me to my room. Wifi reception was difficult to get in the bedroom, but it did work and it was free. The vending machine food was awful, but there's a gas station across the street with better food. The […] first room I stayed in was a double bed room in what seemed to be a recently remodeled part of the building. The room was small, but comfortable... cozy. Everything was very clean and I felt like I was staying in a mini 5-star hotel. The basement floor where this room was located was undergoing renovation, but I'm a heavy sleeper and the noise did not bother me much. The second room I stayed in was a smaller single room in the adjoining building. This room was a bit older and dirtier, but the staff clearly make a good effort to keep it in the best condition they can. It was very small with a private bathroom, TV, stove, fridge, and sink. House keeping changed the towels and bed sheets daily. Bathroom had some mold in the corners, but floor, shower, toilet, and sink were sparkling clean. Bed was comfortable and noise was minimal. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay for a great price. The surrounding Peckham neighborhood is not the best, but this hotel felt very safe, and the bus stop is a stone's throw from the front entrance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to sleep for a few nights at a good price. Lees meer

Terrible location. No taxi driver would drive us from another part of London to Peckham, because it was such a bad neighborhood. We got chased into the hotel by a crack head, good thing there was a guard at the door. We shared a bathroom with a few other rooms. There was about a foot of room on each side of the bed, which seemed to be smaller than a […] double bed. Carpet was stained terribly. If you walked on the carpet wearing socks, it felt like velcro, because your feet would stick to the ground. The sheets didn't feel clean at all, plus they had many holes in the sheets. There were sirens going all night long. Oh, and we opened up the closet to find a boiler.. Thanks for taking even more space from the little bit we had. Way too expensive for a terrible hotel.. do not stay here its not worth the money!!! the place is a building site in a bad area the staff are rude,the place is dirty.they bag and drill at all hours of the night.they dont tell u where ur room is.you have to check yourself in and find your own room that isnt ready when u get to it.the door wouldnt close theres no where to put your clothes,the […] internet doesnt work,thers mold and dirt everywhere. stay away! Me and my partner were taken out fo the buding and shown our room, which I was unaware was in another adjoining complex, which was of a very poor standard. All other staff except the receptionist were non talkative.

London is very expensive to stay, this hotel was in our budget and was what I expected for the price. The hotel was in a "sketchy" part of town but we felt safe in the hotel. Breakfast was juice, coffee, toast, jelly and cereal-corn flakes. Basic room, we were there to sleep. Had our own bathroom, sink, stove, fridge and tv with about 5 channels. Hard […] to get wireless to connect in room. Could connect easily in lobby, had to "do tricks" to get it to work in the room. Took a left out of the hotel 1 block and then was at the bus stop. Took bus number 12 (i think) to elephant and castle and then took the tube/metro/subway to wherever we wanted to go. We always planned about an hour to get where we wanted to go. Lees meer

a good place to stay for a short time .

Not only do the acoustics in the building make it so that you hear everything in the halls and the adjacent rooms, but there is also construction going on at the moment which just added to the noise. It was also a bit too far out of the way for us. They are right near a bus stop, but I prefer the tube because it is a little quicker and less crowded. […] It wasn't terrible, just not a good place for a light sleeper. I stayed in this hotel three nights. It was very a very small room but clean. The front desk staff wa very helpful with directions. The bus stop is practically right in front of the hotel and you can get anywhere in a bout 20 to 30 minutes via bus. Note: nearest train station is Pekham Rye. it is the worst hotel I've ever seen. And the staff are not nice.

We read the reviews the night before and tried to cancel out of our fear! This hotel was not bad. We didn't feel unsafe, nothing was stolen, room was large, bed was soft, food was free, etc. good for the pocket book. RIGHT off the bus stop!

Vi bodde på hotellet i 3 nätter, hela hotellet genomgick renovering.Brandlarmet gick första natten, ingen i personalen var i korridoren under larmet, ingen information vad larmet berodde på Vid frukosten fick man stå i kö ca 30 minuter då man hade den lilla mat som serverades i ett hörn.Frukosten fick man vänta på bestick och porslin, kom ut 2-3 muggar […] åt gången, ost endast första dagen sedan bara marmelad. Man lovade Wifi i vissa offentliga rum, hade man tur kunde man koppla upp sig kortare stunder i receptionen. Näst intill inget tryck i duschen det tog ca 10 minuter inna det blev varmvatten i duschen. städerskan ville in på rummet halvtio söndagförmiddag för att städa, vi skulle checka ut senast 11.00. El hotel me pareció muy caro en la relacion calidad-precio. Sé que el hospedaje en Londres es caro, pero si me decepcionó este hotel. Recomendaría gastar un poco más para estar más cerca de London City. También es justo decir que el hotel está en remodelación y está quedando bien, pero la ubicación NO es recomendable, es un barrio muy popular.

Hotel loin du centre, accessible seulement en bus. Quand Hotel.com m'a proposé l'hôtel, ils ne l'ont pas dit, ils ont dit que c'était proche de Big Ben or il fallait 45 min de bus minimum pour aller en ville ou revenir et même souvent 1 heure de trajet. On nous a propose une chambrent sous dol qu'on a refusé et heureusement on a ou avoir une autre chambre. […] L'hotel était en travaux donc pas très pratique pour circuler. Chambres très étroites, sans armoire, mais propres. Aucun endroit pour pendre des vêtements, aucun crochet dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner très simple et mal organisé, trop peu de croissants, un seul toaster pour griller le pain, pas de lait au chocolat pour les enfants, très mauvais café!

Detta hotell var en mycket positiv överaskning, väldigt fina rum,bra personal,stor och fin frukostmatsal.Det enda minuset är läget, ca 30 min med buss men bussarna går ofta och dom går till alla ställen som typ Victoria station, Picadilly och Towern. Vi är mycket nöjda, mycket prisvärt.

Wer keinen Wert auf luxuriösen Schnickschnack legt, sondern einfach nach einer günstigen Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in guter Lage sucht, ist in der Peckham Lodge gut aufgehoben. Die Zimmer sind okay - auch wenn die Matrazen ein wenig zu weich sind und es ein bißchen muffig riecht -, der Service ist sehr bemüht und freundlich, das Frühstück ist gut ( der […] Frühstücksraum wurde gerade neu renoviert ). Das Hotelumfeld ist anfänglich ein wenig befremdlich, die Menschen sind aber sehr nett und entgegenkommend. Mit dem Bus ist man innerhalb von 10 Haltestellen an einer U-Bahn-Station (Oval) und innerhalb weiterer 10 Stationen an der Victoria-Station, also was will man mehr. Alles in allem ist die Peckham Lodge günstig im Preis und auch in der Lage, mit kleineren Mängeln im Zimmerkomfort ( TV vorhanden, das Familienzimmer ist aber eher ein Doppelzimmer mit zugestelltem Etagenbett ). Wer nur eine passable Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für zwei/ drei Tage sucht, kann sie hier sicherlich finden. Lees meer

Prisen taget i betragtning var det et godt hotel. Lå lidt fra Londons centrum ca 30 min med bus. Men det var en oplevelse i sig selv. Ok værelse. Lidt kaotisk omkring morgenmaden. Da alle skulle rist toast og der var få brødristere.
