Room was small as you'd expect in a typical Japanese hotel, but the service was impeccable and the room is clean & cosy. I also like the Japanese breakfast spread but if you're more into continental breakfast then it will disappoint. Very convenient location - just a brief 5 min walk from the Shin-Osaka Station central entrance.

The train station and subway are nearby, making it great for ease of access.

breakfast was ok and reasonable for the price. very convenient from the station. A good choice indeed.

Decent hotel near the shin Osaka station with convenient access to the subway, jr lines, Shinkansen and the Osaka itame airport bus. Otherwise not much in the area to see. The rooms are small and a little dingy, but the lobby is very nice and there are complimentary drinks for you upon checkin. Regular drink prices are very fair too. We stayed in a semi-double room (because there is no bigger room for the dates we're there) for 2 nights during our trip to Osaka. The room and bed are rather small for 2 persons. Other than that, the rests were very good. It is very conveniently located at Shin-Osaka station... the station has Shinkansen, JR lines to other parts in Osaka and also […] subway. We can see the hotel once we exit from the Central Exit of the station and it took us less than 10 minutes to walk to the hotel with our luggage in tow. Rooms in Japan are small by any standards you can apply. In Osaka, they were spartan but functional. They had Western-style toilets (in ours) which was a small blessing. We were using it as a home base so didn't worry about much about added benefits, but it did have a decent free breakfast which you could eat your fill of and was right next door to […] the train station which DID NOT keep us up or spoil other rest or TV time. Nothing but Japanese television was a little annoying especially when it came to keeping up with the news. Learned about Osama bin Laden from the internet. Opted to leave our valuables with the front desk each day which was easy to do. Probably not much extra space to put a safe. Excellent service, Very welcoming, professional & warm staff, Can't fault it. A little pricy for the room size, but then again it's Osaka. Std room is only 11m2, not much room for luggage and no cupboards to sort cloths. But as a place to just sleep and do all that there is to do in Kansai area from there, it's perfect. So many things wrong with the place. We stayed for 5 nights and starting calling it "Hotel Hell" after the first night. * The cleaning crew left our door open on the 2nd day!! We came back from sightseeing to find our door cracked open!! After that we left the Do Not Disturb sign up 24/7. * It may be just Osaka, but the service was terrible compared […] to our stays in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagano, Nagoya. Reception was OK, the bartender didn't seem like she wanted to be there, the coffee bar waitress told me I couldn't sit there unless I ordered something (while I waited for my husband to run upstairs). There was only 1 other party there! Humiliating to be told to leave!! * The walls are THIN. The first night we were there, we had to bang on the wall to get some loud group of people to be quiet. * There is no air conditioning. The central air unit is HEAT only, so when we asked about cooling off the room, we were told to open a window. Glad it was not the summer!! * The building next door, which our window looks out on, has a giant light that turns on at night, flooding our room with light. There is a sliding window screen that mostly blocks it out, but it blocks out the cool air too!! * The bathroom is grimy and old. * The room and bathroom is very small, but that is to be expected in Japan. * The mattress is hard as a rock. * While close to Shin Osaka station (convenient), the surrounding neighborhood was pretty sleezy. For traveling to Kyoto and Osaka, this is a great location.We had breakfast included in our booking and it save us the trouble of having to go out to look for food in the morning.It has typical Japanese breakfast of rice, Miso soup , fish and pickles..and weatern style breakfast bacon and eggs and salad, coffee and toast and jam. The rooms are small […] but we travel with only 2 small suitcases so everything fits. When you get out of the Shin-Osaka "Central Exit" look right and up , you will see the sign New Osaka Hotel, then just make your way towards it. Less than 5 min walk. Nice hotel, convenient location, only few minutes walk from LRT/train station. Great price, breakfast included pacakge, breakfast has western food as well as Japanese food. Also drink coupon provided at checkin. Room is small but already expected, no complains. Great little hotel. Staff speaks good English and friendly.

This hotel is close enough to Shin-Osaka train station without having the noise and crowds involved.Foyer is on 2nd level. Do expect people smoking inside hotel as laws about smoking in Japan are not up with some countries.Room was clean and the usual fairly small compared to western rooms. Free internet but a little slow with the LAN cable. Two free drinks to the bar with check in. No other great amenities. If what you need is near the Shin Osaka station, it is very close and convenient. If you will be mostly in the downtown Osaka area, it is a little out of the way.

I Like the hotels location especially for JR Railpass holders a few minutes walk to the JR station. But the room air-conditioning is centralized and minimum we can set is 20 degree C. (HOT) Good for a few Nights stay but do not expect amenities.

This hotel is very convenient to Shin osaka station as we arrived late at night this was a plus,we had been to Japan previously,so knew the rooms are small but this one was tiny and we just didn,t have enough room for a suitcase each,otherwise we could not fault the hotel on cleanliness and the staff were as helpful as could be expected with our lack […] of japanese language. This hotel is situated very near the ShinOsaka station. Only about 5 minutes (or less) walking distance from the main gate. ShinOsaka station is a very good pivoting point to explore Kyoto and Osaka area. Osaka station is only 5 minute by train, while Kyoto is only 15 minutes away by shinkansen. This is definitely a good option for us who used JR passes. […] And, we realized that we could have just stayed in ShinOsaka too if we would explore up to Hiroshima, since it is only 1.5 hours away by shinkansen; but we didn't. The station itself has lots of food stalls and some convenience stores. It's easy to find food. We got a good offer by staying 2 nights in this hotel. This was the cheapest among the hotels that we stayed in Japan. Yet, for this price, it really worth the money. The room that we stayed has a semi-double bed , TV, radio, clock, table, chair, mirror, refrigerator, electric water kettle, air-cond, free wired internet (with cable provided) and attached bathroom. The room size is quite small and packed for 2 ppl. The bathroom size is also small, just fine for asian size, but not sure for western size people :D However, among the hotels that we stayed in Japan has small size bathroom. The toiletries were provided: soap, shampoo, toothbrush, razor, towels, yukatta, and slippers. They did housekeeping everyday. Everything in the room was clean and neat. One minus thing was no cupboard was provided. It was only hooks with some hangers. The service was good. We were given complementary drinks upon check in, to be redeem in their in-house bar. We could store our luggage in the reception before check in (we arrived before their check in time) and upon check out, for free. The reception is in the second story of the building, that has 1 escalator. It's normally up-riding. Upon check out, the receptionist switched the escalator direction to down riding for us. There was some problems (missing towel after the first cleaning & I had to specifically ask for the breakfast coupons each day), but overall experience was pleasant. The staff spoke English and room were as expected. And as a pleasant surprise (since it wasn't advertised), there was actually LAN socket for internet access.

The hotel is just across the road from Shin osaka station, but nothing around this area. Room is so small even for Asian people. The badness for me is bed. It's like sleep in a basin so that I were wake up with backache every morning. TV is no Eng channel.

We stayed in Osaka for exactly 24hrs. The hotel is meant for "salary men". The rooms are small and outdated, but clean, and the location can't be beat. I would recommend this hotel for people traveling to Osaka for a night or two and are looking to spend as little time as possible in their room. The proximity to the station is fantastic.

駅の近くてわかりやすく、 ホテルの中も清潔感があって よかったです。

予想外にいいホテルでした。値段が手ごろなもので、少し心配していたのですが、場所も新大阪駅の真前ですし、部屋も小さいですがきちんとしていました。難を言えば、洋服入れがないことで、荷物の多い人にはちょっと不便かとも思いました。

除非你多數要搭JR 而不是搭SUBWAY 否則住這間酒店也不是特別好~他位置很近新大板JR站 方便你轉搭子彈火車還是機場~但酒店裏面如你想乾淨是可以接受~但想房間有其他特別東西 /是光鮮就沒可能了~床感覺上好像很易跌下來~但服務員的確很好

除了自助早餐有亮点，其他一无是处。

格安で宿泊できたのは、良かったが部屋に換気扇と冷房がついていないのにびっくり！風呂上がり　暑く耐えれなかった・・・立地条件はいいが、いかがなものか。　朝食付きで予約したが、朝食ついていないと言われ自腹で食事した。

Eine Renovierung wuerde dem Hotel nicht schaden, dennoch war alles insg. zu meiner Zufriedenheit. Das Fruestuecksbueffet war etwas gewoehnungsbeduerftig, mehr Auswahl waere gut gewesen (es gab keine Butter, keinen Kaese, keine Salami, dafuer Salat und Macaroni ...).

The semi-double room is very small. There is not enough space to place 2 medium-sized luggages. Actually, you need more than 90 seconds to go to the hotel from Shin-Osaka Station. It is a surprise to have 2 welcome drinks.

Das New Osaka Hotel ist vom Bahnhofvorplatz aus sichtbar. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Das Zimmer was etwas klein aber so ist Japan. Das Personal sehr freundlich und höflich. Alles in allem sehr zufrieden.

Personnel parlant anglais, chambre propre, aucun probleme. L'hotel est proche de la station Shin Osaka qui elle meme se trouve a une station du centre d'Osaka, donc pratique. Chambre plus petite que sur la photo mais l'espace est suffisant.

7.1일부터 3일간 뉴오사카호텔에서 머물렀습니다. 미도스지센 신오사카역 출구 나오면 걸어서 1분이내로 아주 역과 근접한 위치에 있습니다. SEMI-DOUBLE ROOM을 언니와 둘이서 사용했는데, 여자2명이 사용하기에도 침대사이즈가 딱맞는 정도였으니 SEMI DOUBLE사이즈는 남자분들이 사용하시기에 작을 것 같다고 생각됩니다. 110V 사용을 위해 변압 아답터가 필요합니다. 호텔에서 보증금을 받고 빌려주고 있었는데, 220V를110V로 바꿔주는건 없었습니다. (동그란 구멍이 아닌 길쭉한거 있었음) 근처에 MINISTOP 편의점과 일식집 하나가 있습니다. 오사카 다른지역을 관광하다 늦더라도 지하철로 연결이 잘 되어있었기에 […] 불편함을 못느꼈습니다. 잠만 자는 숙소로 저렴하고 교통이 매우 편리합니다. Lees meer

Wir haben im New Osaka Hotel insgesamt 10 Nächte verbracht. Es liegt unmittelbar neben dem Bahnhof Shin-Osaka und neben einer U-Bahn Linie. Es eigent sich darum ideal um die Kansai-Region (ca. 20 Minuten bis nach Kyoto und Kobe, ca. 45 Minuten bis nach Nara) mit dem Japan Rail Pass zu erkunden (wer gerne Zug fährt kann problemlos auch Hiroshima oder […] Takayama per Tagesausflug besuchen). Geschlafen haben wir zu zweit in einem Semi-Doppel mit einem ca. 130 cm breiten Bett, was uns völlig ausgereicht hat. Das Zimmer ist klein und es ist kein Schrank vorhanden um Sachen zu verstauen. Dennoch kommt man mit dem Platz hin, wenn man sich nicht lange im Hotel aufhält sondern tagsüber unterwegs ist. Im Zimmer befindet sich ein Kühlschrank und ein Wasserkocher. Günstiges Obst und Nudelsnacks aus dem Supermarkt können also problemlos angeschafft und gelagert werden. Auch das Bad ist klein aber außreichend (wenn man aufs Baden verzichten kann). Seife, Rasierer und Zahnbürsten sind vorhanden und alles wird zuverlässig nachgefüllt. Jeden Tag gibt es zudem einen frischen Morgenmantel. Die Handtücher sind gut und in außreichender Zahl vorhanden. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert gut und ist (bei entsprechender Einstellung) sehr leise. Überhaupt ist das Zimmer trotz der Nähe zu den Bahngleisen sehr ruhig. Allerdings sind die Zimmer ein wenig hellhörig. Wir haben auf das Frühstücksbuffet im Hotel verzichtet. Im Bahnhof kann man sich für ca. 5-10€ ein leckers Frühstück für jeden Geschmack kaufen. Besonders wenn man einen längeren Aufenthalt plant wird dieses Hotel zu einem echten Schnäppchen und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Bedenken sollte man allerdings, dass das Hotel etwas außerhalb der Osakas liegt (ca. 10 Minuten mit der U-Bahn) und die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nur bis ca. Mitternacht fahren. Wer zum Feiern nach Osaka kommt, sollte also eine andere Wahl treffen. Lees meer

Hotel New Osaka ligger veldig sentralt plassert dersom man ønsker å bo nærme der shinkansen kommer fra og til. I tillegg ligger hotellet kun en tominutters gåtur unna nærmeste inngang til metroen som går inn til det sentrale Osaka. I området rundt hotellet derimot skjer det ingenting. Hotellet hadde en fin lobby med hyggelig personale, engelskkunnskapen […] var ikke helt på topp, men det var ikke noe problem. De har gratis internett (med kabel) på hvert rom, men man må ha med seg sin egen pc. Rommene er ganske små, det er ingen fordel å komme med mye bagasje. I tillegg er rommene og særlig badet ganske slitt. Likevel så det rent og skikkelig ut. Selvom jeg egentlig er ganske kresen når det gjelder hotellrom så fungerte absolutt New Osaka Hotel for en kort periode. Skal man til Osaka for en lengre periode slik at man må tilbringe en del tid på rommet ville jeg nok ikke anbefale New Osaka Hotel. Lees meer

Chambre mal aménagée, sale et en mauvais état (dessus de lit tâché, moutons dès qu'on se déplaçait un peu). De plus il y avait des moisissures dans toute la salle de bains, y compris sur le rideau de douche. Vu le prix c'est scandaleux de proposer des chambres dans un état pareil. C'est bien le seul hôtel qui nous ait déçus au Japon d'ailleurs.
