Excellent location for visiting Leeds Football Stadium. Very pleasant rooms & modern bathrooms. The rooms were a little dark as was the overall feel of the hotel but not in an opressive way, just trying to make it more contemporary. Lovely fire in hotel lobby, great food in the Grill and breakfast was superb with a very good selection of hot and cold […] foods, although the conveyer toaster could do with replacing. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the leisure facilities pool, sauna & steam room & changing rooms were excellent. Didn't get a chance to use the gym but I am sure it would have been great too judfing by the standard of everywhere else in the hotel. We were there over St Patricks Day & Mothers Day and although the hotle was busy we were still able to use the facilities comfortably and did not have to que or wait to be seated for dinner (although reservations recommended) or breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again next time we go to watch Leeds play at home. Lees meer

Booked this hotel at the last minute for a much needed night away. Room was comfortable and clean, although the shower was more like a trickle than a monsoon. Pool and gym area were clean, but note that on Saturdays the pool can get quite busy with children having swimming lessons! It was the 3rd time in 12 months we have stayed here. I am sad to say this time it didn't quite fulfill my expectations, Just little thing like the shower screen was not cleaned properly and the bathroom didn't feel as clean as it could. Was a very nice clean hotel, good breakfast. would recomend to others. Worth every penny

The hotel was excellent value for money, as we purchased an advance special offer rate for a Sat night in early Jan. We were able to check in early on the Sat (11am) and front desk service was good. The room was modern, stylish and well appointed. We also used the gym which had lots of equipment. The only negative was breakfast service on the Sunday. […] The staff were not very attentive and we had to ask for milk for cereal, plates for hot buffet (they had run out of hot plates so ours were stone cold), no milk was provided with our pot of tea etc. Overall though would certainly recommend, didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that aspect. Hotel was very busy with Christmas Parties but expected level of service was maintained. Bedroom 103 was not the best as it faces a concrete wall and there is no view. Poor room lighting make adjusting temperature difficult but staff were very helpful. Mattresses need refurbishing

Saturday night. The bar had a band playing directly under our room, so no early night! Fire alarm early the next morning so no lie-in. The hotel was full to capacity so the breakfast service was a bit slow and the hot food buffet was short of some items. Went home more tired than when we arrived. The Verve grill serves a reasonably good steak

The sort of hotel you woudl be happy to spend a night in during the week on business or a relaxing weekend. Staff are great, rooms pleasant and hte burget in the Victory - terrific.

when i booked the hotel I had never heard of the chain of hotels, on arrival was very pleasantly surprised. The quality was far better than i was expecting for the money. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent, the hotel bar had a nice atmosphere and the drinks were not the usual overpriced hotel fare. whilst the staff were extremely pleasant the service was very slow. Each morning we had to wait over 15 minutes to get into the restaurant for breakfast ( i morning 25 !!) Once inside the staff forgot our order for Tea and a bowl of porridge for my grandson (who then ate nothing). Utter confusion at the toasting machine and you had to put the toast […] back in at least 3 times for it to be partly brown !! You also stood again for over 15 minutes waiting for it and the queue. Overall the restaurant experience was extremely slow, albeit the staff were very friendly. The room did not even get cleaned on the Sunday, despite the notice on the door and we had to hunt out replacement tea bags, milk and toilet rolls. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but when my grandson accidentally dropped some crisps on the floor on the Saturday afternoon, they remained on the floor even at checkout on the Monday. The pool was sectioned off on each day we used it for swimming classes and we were restricted to only being allowed to use 2 of the lanes - not good when you have young children with you that just want to play. In order to get discount off food in the restaurant you have to hold a gym membership - not really fare when you are paying good money to stay there and they are only using the facilities. Good location for anything near Leeds or surrounding areas and the Royal Armouries Museum is excellent. On checkout on the Monday it was stated that all I had to pay for was the 2 rooms booked for the 3 nights, as we paid as we went for everything else,. When I pointed out that we had "Pre- Paid" in full he apologised. Lees meer

This hotel was beautiful, lovely modern feel to it, facilities were great, very large gym area and also swimming pool with a sauna and steam room, was a great experience and I would have no hesitation of going back to this hotel. The staff were great, very friendly always willing to help, in truth I cant say anything bad about this hotel.

Superb hotel and value, I definatley recommend it. The facilities were fab and the food was lovely. If I could have got the power shower in my pocket, I would have fetched it home!

We had a good value family stay here during a recent trip to Yorkshire. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with a great rainforest shower. The Verve restaurant is great value and the food very tasty. Leisure facilities are great but watch silly access times for kids/teens under 16. I've stayed here twice now and been perfectly happy both times. It's only a small step-up from the usual standard of this type of hotel, but chintzy decor attempts to give an air of greater style and sophistication. Although this is only superficial, it's still alright. The staff are friendly and helpful, the decor modern, although lighting is very […] subdued - particularly in the rooms. It took me a good 5 minutes to locate the hairdryer (in a hard to spot drawer at the bottom of the wardrobe). Shower was warm and powerful. Good sized TV. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned very well - there were a few hairs around and the glasses needed a proper wash before I could use them. The rest of the room was ok though. There was an iron and ironing board in the room and a good sized wardrobe, so that was excellent. No toiletries, except loo roll and a soap dispenser in the shower and basic tea/coffee stuff. The bed was large and comfortable. i didn't use the fitness facilities but these looked good. Breakfast was plentiful, and was of a reasonable quality. Nice coffee! There is also free internet throughout the hotel, as there should be, so a definite plus there. There were functions going on on both occasions I've stayed here, but I've not been disturbed by these. Unless you are making full use of the leisure suite, it seems a tad overpriced, as you aren't getting much beyond what the standard hotel chain provides, but paying more for these services. All in all fine though and certainly nothing to put off the weary traveller. Book with confidence. If you make full use of the pool etc, it's well worth the money and a very credible choice of hotel. Very comfortable room, Love the fact that all lights can be dimmed. Pity no light shines into the wardrobe. No drawers or shelves to put undies etc. Don't want to live out of a case for 3 nights Great pool - very warm and jakuzzi is most relaxing

Modern hotel with great fitness, pool and leisure facilities. Choice of food in Restaurant and Bar [quality of food a bit bland but reasonably priced]. As expected, generally good standard. Ample parking, friendly, efficient staff and clean rooms. Good sized pool. Location, right next to the M62, is convenient for business trips but a little remote if you want to go out in the evening. Will use again.

Great for a weekend break, free car parking and real world bar prices, had the £29 for 2, 3 course meal and very nice it was add £7 and you get the full bottle of wine not just the glass, will be booking again

Really good for a short relaxing break. Modern rooms-although a little dusty. Great leisure facilities, bar and restaurant. Stayed here twice and enjoyed although disappointed that the room did not have a bath the last time. Great deals on bed and breakfast. Excellent Toby down the road with the best cavery i've had. Great hotel, clean, friendly, easy to find. Very welcoming with lively children, great pool we would book again. Would have been nice to have a green safe space for children to run but not essential!

Have stayed here a couple of times, great breakfast, lovely room and excellent leisure facilities that you have access to when you stay.

I have stayed with the Village Hotel chain many times, with the gym facilities being the main reason. There's a large well equipped gym and swimming pool/sauna etc. Breakfast isn't as extensive as other buffets, but having a Starbucks on site is a bonus. My only complaint was that there were no toilettries(showergel/shampoo) in the bathroom .

clean, friendly staff, so new that no one knew where it was.
