Het hotel was echt zoals een Engels huis moet zijn, oud en lekker knus, je moet er wel van houden, nou wij wel! De omgeving was ook mooi en locatie is top, dichtbij treinstations en centrum. We gaan zeker in juni terug.

For the low price it was a very nice hotel. The decor is a little dated, but functional. We had dinner at the hotel, that is not a good idea. The people serving were very slow and not paying attention. The food took a very long time to arrive. And the quality was poor. The location is at the junction of two highways, so very ok for a stop on the way to somewhere else or as a last night stop before going home.

This is such a welcoming place to stay, a real home-from-home feeling. We felt like nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautifully decorated with everything you could need. "Great Hotel to say with 'waggy tail' + lone female"
Warm welcome - I arrived early and they allowed me to park the car outside the Hotel. whilst I went for a walk with the dog + to meet a friend. I got back just after mid day and they allowed me to book in early as my room was ready. Well all the reviews are right on the money. This place is the jewel in Clacton's crown. I stay in a lot of hotels and these tend to be Hiltons, Holiday Inn etc. When it came to booking in this area I was presented with a choice of mainly small guest houses. I am so pleased that I booked this place. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome, the owners are a credit to the hospitality industry. Everything was very clean and tidy […] but not clinically clean. Like a very nice tidy house. And that is what it felt like - very homely. Rooms was fantastic. No2. Just been refurbished and it was clean and very very comfortable. Everything I needed was there. Including free wi-fi. I was so sad I was not there longer than just one night.
