Motel 6 Dallas De Soto Lancaster in Lancaster

Non-smoking room smelled of smoke (probably venting from another room). There was a shard of glass on the bed. It appeared that the window was broken and then fixed right before my stay. Room was clean except for the glass. Convienient location. Basic motel.

My husband and I stayed here for one day. It was one day too long. Our prepaid online reservation went "missing" when we arrived. After some insisting, he finally found it. Our room had stained carpets and the towels were a very dingy white. There were people screaming at each other outside of the room. The maid tried coming in our room three times […] to clean it. We noticed that the bed didn't have a fitted sheet over the mattress. It was just two flat sheets and the blanket. The room needed a good scrub down.It couldn't have been corrected with a regular cleaning. We said to each other that next time, we will spend the extra money for a nice hotel room. Lees meer

Great room for the money.

The housekeeping here left much to be desired. They didn't empty our trash, and since there was only one garbage can in the room, this filled fast. There was only one bed with a blanket. They didn't pick up all the dirty linen in the bathroom. They left a bag of garbage that someone had thrown down sitting out by the stairs all weekend. I would not […] recommend this Motel 6. My wife & I made reservations here because we were driving from Austin to Dallas for the State Fair. This place was in a good location on the way, and just outside the city. I drove up late at night, and just needed somewhere to sleep & a low price because of the short time that I would be sleeping (I was leaving first thing in the morning). This place […] met those needs. The price & location were great for what I needed. Checking in & out was easy, and the staff seemed friendly. Although I'm not a needy guest, so I didn't interact much with them. I didn't feel very safe outside the hotel at night, it was kind of creepy. My door had dents on the outside as if it had been hit repeatedly with a crobar or something. The inside was old and worn. Old carpet, old tile, old everything... I tried not to touch anything in the bathroom, because it didn't appear to be very clean. The bed was what you'd expect for what you pay, just really basic & typical. I hoped there would be a coffee maker in the room, but I was glad there wasn't, because it probably wouldn't have been sanitary. The only thing missing were roaches. The Bottom Line: It served it's purpose. I didn't have high expectations, yet a place of that level is somehow always a disappointment. It beat sleeping in the car. Ok 4 starters when I booked the room I was so worried I packed comforters, blankets, pillows, towels and plug-ins, expecting the worse.The reviews were not so great and comparing this Motel 6 to 1 in Lousiana was just not fair.I believe that the Motel has been renovated since the last reviews BIGTIME!We so didn't want to leave.This room had a new King […] size bed, new comforter, pillows, and carpet.The sink area had huge marble counter space not to mention the deep sink, so impressed.When we go out of town it's usually b/c my husband has to work so we always need a frige and microwave which usually smells and very rusty looking, not here brand new microwave and fridge so clean.The shower had a multi water flow head so nice. This is truly a class 2 hotel. It is often noisy. The entrance door to the room does not fit all the way around so sounds from the outside can be heard in the room. At 0 a m, regardless of whether we pay for one day or a week all rooms are awakened by a loud knock on the door. The room smelled musty when we arrived. We didn't know it, but we had to request a microwave for the room. The room did not come equipped with an iron/ironing board and the towels needed to be replaced with new ones, not just cleaned ones.
