Rossitta Wood Castle in Cochin

hele goede ervaring gehad in rositta, superlocatie (paar meter vanaf de zee), personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, gratis internet, het is er wat toeristisch in de buurt, maar dat is niet voor niks!

This is a great looking place from the outside, can't complain much about the rooms, they are functional and basic (not the wooden top floor ones, we took the semi-deluxe on ground floor). My experience at this Hotel was good.They have very polite and helpful staff. The bathrooms were clean but they need to attend to their showers.

Building old with plenty of character. Public hotel areas were nice but room very basic and not so well kept. Mould on the walls of bedroom and bathroom plus an ant invasion in the bathroom. Front desk service good. Restaurant in a pretty courtyard, food ok but service poor. Location in a fairly quiet street very close to waterfront.

I stayed here with 4 friends. The hotel staff went out of their way to arrange everything we wanted, from money exchange, an extra night (we turned up one night early and at 11pm with no warning and they obliged!), massages etc. The place is clean and tidy, had air conditioning that worked fabulously and the outdoor restaurant area is relaxed and very […] pretty, although like in many places, food takes a long time to arrive! I stayed two nights at Rossitta Wood Castle. I'm an independent solo female traveler, on a long 6-mo trip and wanted to spend my last two nights in India somewhere niceish. It was a splurge and I asked for a single room, but they were all full and they put me in a suite with an extra sitting room, charming wood-carved doors, large bathroom and big, […] fluffy pillows. What a nice treat! The handsome young Indian men at the desk are kind and eager to please--they were the best part of the place. There is no "breakfast buffet," but the continental breakfast of toast, eggs and juice was fine (except I'm allergic to eggs). I didn't try the restaurant food. Overall, a completely fine place to stay with bits of charm. Not an uber modern hotel, so don't expect five-star anything. I'd definitely return thanks to service, location and amenities. Lees meer

Nice location. Hotel was built in 1706, full of character. Wish they had enough water pressure to be able to take a shower. Hotel does not have facilities to accept credit cards. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Great budget option - building is really beautiful however we were given a very room budget room which had very uncomfortable thin mattresses. Right in the heart of Fort Cochin but 2 minutes from main street on a little side road so fairly quiet. Good location, quiet neibourhood, very professional staff! The guesthouse is old but you can enjoy the atmosphere of this place. Rooms should be painted again.

Rossitta Wood Castle was a pleasant stay in Kochi. Area was quiet and peaceful, but still walking distance from sights and restaurants. We checked in for only one night, the service was great and the rooms small but clean. We knew we won't sleep in a 5* hotel!!! The location is great, many narrow street with shops and restaurants in short walking distance, so is the sea with its chinese fishing nets.

Rossitta Wood is an extremely friendly environment with very eager staff. The rooms are huge and attractive but the floor needs a bit of a better clean. The restaurant is peaceful and serves good food in a good environment. The hotel is very well located in Fort Cochin and within walking distance of all the worth while attractions in the area. The location was great and the staff were very friendly. The hotel has a B&B feel to it. Some of the rooms are genuinely old, in the historic part of the building and have a very nice ambience. My room was newer, at the back of the building and basic. It was smaller than I expected and the bathroom though clean has no ventilation. Rust stains and water […] damage was visible in both the room and bathroom. There was no hot water, inspite of waiting as instructed. The restaurant is very charming, though small. Hotel Héritage très bien situé mais le personnel, bien qu'aimable est totalement inefficace. L'entretien de l'hôtel laisse à désire. Notre A/C ne fonctionnait pas correctement.. On peut trouver mieux.

les chambres standard double ne sont pas terrible(intérieur de l'hôtel sans vue),nous avons changé pour une chambre single,peu d'espace,petit lit pour deux,mais située dans la cour centrale avec terrasse sous le balcon. Le petit déjeuner est parfait (jus frais!).Le personnel très aimable,ils n'hésitent pas à vous aider pour toutes questions. Beläget i charmigaste delen av Cochin- Fort Cochin - ligger Hotel Rossitta Wood Castle- byggt i speciell "träarkitektur"- precis som namnet antyder. Ett par hundra meter till havet, med charmiga gator omkring. Hotellpersonalen gav en mycket fin personlig service, fr.a. bra tips om vad att göra i närmaste omgivningen och och arrangemang av utflykter. […] Rummen var av god kvalitet med charmiga trägolv. Very friendly and helpful staff! Charming house thats over 300 years old. Maybe the rooms could have a little more comfort for the price, i.e. TV, bedlamp etc.
