The hotel was very nice and clean. We appreciated the lemonade and water inside the lobby. The room was comfortable, although the beds were not that comfortable, in my opinion. I didn't feel the difference playing with the dial on the bed to adjust its firmness. The pool was only open from 5-10pm which was a bummer. There are plenty of great restaurants […] and shops within a 10 minute walk and the metro station is a quick 5 minute walk. I would stay here again the next time I'm in the D.C. area. Lees meer

I thought the hotel was a great value. Even though my mattress had an actual ridge in it (think mountain and valley) it wasn't uncomfortable just made it hard to roll uphill.

Hotel was nice, a little expensive but I did have to book last-minute. Parking on-site (6'3 clearance in garage) and easy walk to metro station. Not many restaurants near but Friendship Heights is just 1 metro stop away. Breakfast in hotel was decent, 3/5 stars. Room was comfortable with updated TV and minifridge.

3 night stay Fri-Mon with intention of visiting monuments, smithsonian and other historic sights.Very convenient walk to the metro and easy ride downtown to the national mall where we spent most of our time. They charge to park in their garage, but on weekends the public garage right next to the hotel is FREE starting Fri at 10pm-Monday 7am. Front desk […] was very generous and didn't charge me for parking Friday during the day since I wasn't keeping my car there overnight.... We didn't spend much time in the hotel but, I was perfectly satisfied with everything there. Room was clean, bed was comfortable (they had a firmness adjuster for the mattress which I forgot to try), shower was warm and good pressure. Room had a fridge, microwave and safe (although the safe was tall and shallow and not very deep, which was a little annoying). Temperature was fine, there were no disturbing noises as it was off the main road. Free internet worked well. Lobby had coffee in the morning and lemonade during the day, also had a jar of lollipops! Hotel was a great location for our stay to visit American University. Very close to the Metro, reasonable in-and-out parking fee, and the surrounding neighborhood has great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast coffee, and complimentary fresh-popped popcorn in the evening. Everything we needed!

This has become our go-to when visiting dc for any reason. Out of the way yet very accessible to everything. Once you get the hang of metro in dc you can go anywhere. This hotel has never failed our expectations. Never tried their restaurant because there's so many great eats in easy walking distance. Great bartender. Very safe and secure. Clean. When we were getting ready to leave the room after breakfast one morning a woman let herself in (!) and said that she thought she left a bag behind the night before. This was our second night in the room so we were a bit upset that a random person would be given access to our room in this way. This is my 4th stay at this hotel. This chain , Hilton Garden really does get business travelers. They don't just hype it. The rooms are comfortable with lots of outlets for all of your electronics. the folks at the desk are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The bed is great. I've never been bothered by noise. The only complaint I have, I have with […] virtually all hotels these days. why is it that hotels even with the most comfy beds think that those poly fill pills that are so soft your head sinks through are okay? we enjoyed our stay very much; hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our room was lovely with good bathroom. The breakfast had a wide choice and was very tempting, especially the cakes. We would recommend it, as a good place to return to after sight seeing, to recharge your batteries.

Did not like the fact that I had to pay $15 to park and then noticed another $10 garage fee on my checking statement. I have no idea what that is for.

The hotel was nice, the location was awesome, but our room had a distinct musty odor that was not acceptable. The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating and changed our room... to another musty room. When we asked for yet another room it took nearly an hour while they surely Febrezed every surface in the 3rd room judging by the fresh scent wafting […] into the hallway. By that time we had been in the hotel so long that it was hard to tell, and we had things to do. Sure enough when we came back after enough fresh air, the mustiness was in the 3rd room as well, granted much lighter. Thankfully the windows were operable, and we kept ours open during our 3 day stay. They sent up a goodie bag as an apology, but we will not be staying here again. If you do stay there, the added amount for parking and breakfast is well worth it! Lees meer

Great hotel for visiting the DC area. Easy one block walk from Red Line Bethesda Metro stop. One Metro stop from the great shopping at Chevy Chase and the National Zoo just three stops down. Very comfortable room, nice location, coffee in morning, many restaurants nearby. Pool only available from 5-10pm which was odd....front desk would not call a cab for us....Otherwise great......Would definitely stay here or next door at the Residence Inn Marriot....

Overall, it was good. The heat/air fan in the rooms was noisy. I turned mine off to sleep, but I could still hear the one next door. Then, in the early morning, there was some strange "knocking noise" that I couldn't figure out...two tap, taps...stop...two tap, taps, etc. It almost sounded like someone hitting a pipe or something. Great location in downtown Bethesda. Short walk to Metro to visit Smithsonian. Breakfast was included with our room, so too, was parking which was right next door to hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.
