Las Casas de la Juderia in Cordoba

Schitterend hotel met prachtige patio's en ruime kamer met alle voorzieningen. Zeer vriendelijk en toegewijd personeel. Heel fraai gelegen met parkeergelegenheid; alleen per auto wat krap bereikbaar. Maar dat hadden we er graag voor over. Het mooiste hotel van onze reis, en als we weer naar Cordoba gaan komen we er zeker terug.

Cordoba is small but it is great to stay so close to the historical centre and the Mezquita. Hotel was clean and really comfortable. Staff all very friendly and speak english. They allowed me to leave my suitcase there for a few hours after I checked out and collected it later. Taxi to the hotel from the train station was just over €5 and there is a […] taxi rank very close to the hotel for getting back to the train station when I was leaving. I didn't eat at the hotel as it is expensive but there are lots of places to eat and drink close by. Lees meer

I spent a weekend in Cordoba not long ago, and decided to stay in Las Casas de la Juderia after looking at the pictures and reviews on this website. I am glad i made the right decision - the hotel is beautifully restored and boasts courtyards within its grounds that are worth exploring. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom […] with separate areas for the tub, rain shower and bidet was equally enjoyable. Note that there is no in-room WiFi so make your way to the plush salon to enjoy free wireless service. Location wise, the hotel is a 3-minute walk away from the Alcazar and equally close to the famed Cordoba Mezquita. Surrounding it too are numerous souvenir shops and eateries. I highly recommend eating at Restaurante Almudaina, a Michelin restaurant that operates within a restored minor palace. Credit also goes out to the hotel staff who are proficient in English and extremely helpful in taking care of our basic needs and providing us with sightseeing information - will not hesitate to stay over again, and hopefully longer, the next time i visit Cordoba! Great price reductions for a January visit made this a bargain. Atmosphere of understated but high quality.

Excellent interior design. I was charmed by it. Has a Jacuzzi bathtub and a separate area with a rain shower head. Walking distance to Mezquita Cathedral and Christian Castle. Down side is that you can only surf free Wi-Fi in the lounge area. Nice toiletries set which included a shoe horn.

The best hotel on our recent trip to Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada and Malaga. The room was a dream, all the amenities of a 5 star hotel and more. The staff even better, friendly, helpful, simply amazing! Perfect location, once you come out you are within walking distance of everything. We highly recommend it1

Lovely hotel with traditional features and all the modern necessities. Each of our 3 rooms was different but well appointed. Great location which our GPS could find.

We loved this hotel! It was the most charming hotel I've ever staied. It's a complex of 5 old (16th century) homes in the jewish neighborhood. It has several patios with fountains, flowers and even ruins of an old bath house (from either the Romans or Moors). The rooms are very nicely decorated, the bed pretty large and comfortable and had an amazing […] bath tub. After walking and feeling cold the whole day it felt amazing to soak in a deep, long jacuzzi for a bubble bath. The service was excellent, professional and friendly. The location couldn't be better. It's across the Alcazar, 2 blocks from the Mesquita, ~1 from the Synagogue and other monuments. I'd recommend it to everyone. Lees meer

Beautiful, comfortable rooms in a convienent location just inside the old city wall of Cordoba.

After studying furiously all possibilties for our trip to Spain recently...glad we chose this place! + Quick taxi to train station (taxi rank very close by) + Stones throw from all sites + Staff very (with good english) + Nice quiet lounge/bar with free wifi was also a nice touch... Good recommendation all!

My wife and I stayed at La Casas de la Juderia in early November 2011, and we could not believe how lucky we were. We knew nothing about Cordoba, and were looking for a decent place on the internet, and it was a very pleasant surprise indeed. At first we were a little concerned about the fact that we had a room on one of the interior patio's overlooking […] the restaurant. We were there to relax and did not really want to be woken up by the breakfast crowds! The problem was imaginary! The only problem we had was that the cleaning ladies parked their stationary station just outside our window every morning, and discussed life, and romance (until we made it obvious of our desire for slumber), but at least we caught up on some local gossip. The Hotel itself is an Andalusian treat! Internal patios with fountains, space, and great climate! The food we did not even try, as we thought it was a little pricy (€19 for breakfast is very steep). We ate out every night (strongly recommend the Fragua, 20 metres from the front door!!!!). The surroundings were perfect for a trip to southern spain, my wife and I would return in the blink of an eye! Close to the Mesquita, and closer to the Alcazar, and all locked up inside the labarynth that is the Jewish Barrier of Cordoba, a real treat indeed. BUT, I have to say that the highlight of the trip was the hotel bed. I have never slept so comfortably in my life. Great big 2m by 2m beds, where at times I needed binoculars to see if my wife was sleeping or not. We recommand (1) WIFI in the rooms - i was forced to work in the lobby, which is not satisfying. (2) shower not easy to enter in (3) Light in the room is not enough, and does not allow to write when sitting at the desk (4) more room for Breakfast would be a nice to have

i booked this hotel a week before we arrived at a very good rate including breakfast. The only fault i could find was that our room was on the ground floor veiwing on to the strreet. We had to keep the curtains shut all the time making the room dark. Breakfast had a good selection of food and you could not get a beatter location for sight seeing.

We LOVED Cordoba!!! This hotel was a wonderful addition! The staff was very friendly and the courtyards and areas around the pool were lovely. There was so much to see in Cordoba and we could walk everywhere from our hotel. Warning... This hotel is in the very old section and nearly impossible to find by car. We finally got out and walked to the hotel. […] Our GPS wanted us to go down a street the wrong way. When I asked the man at the hotel reception, he said, yes, you need to go down the street the wrong way to get here! I could have hugged him when he took our car keys and valet parked the car for us - their standard way for parking. Besides the car issue, a wonderful hotel! Overall we liked this hotel and thought it had a lot of character, and we would probably go there again. But we did think that given the price and the hotel rating that there would have been tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

This hotel is convenient to everything we wanted to see. We loved the area and being right in the middle of the action. Getting to the hotel however was a nightmare. Our GPS couldn't navigate the numerous one way streets, the many pedestrian areas and we never saw hotel signs on the roads. I got out of the car and walked the streets with GPS in hand. […] I would suggest having one person jump out and into a taxi and then following the taxi with your car OR park outside the jewish juderia and take your luggage by taxi to the hotel. The reception area was cordoned off with velvet ropes for some reason-confusing us. Eventually we just stepped over them to check in and I guess that was expected? Our room #19 was on the first floor adjacent to the pool but required us to climb a few stairs and pass thru a labarinth of beautiful courtyards to access -we found this uniquely fun! The headboard on the bed was embossed leather and beautiful. The brass fixtures looked new and shiny. The bathroom was very clean with narrow but updated fixtures. Having stayed at Las Casas de la Juderia in Sevilla last year we were really looking forward to staying in the sister hotel in Cordoba. First the good-the hotel is unique, interesting and could not be in a better location. The staff are attentive and helpful and the rooms well equipped and comfortable. The swimming pool is a real bonus and well laid […] out. The hotel is much smaller than the one in Sevilla however and suffers a bit by being in the centre of everything. Many rooms are next to footpaths or overlooking squares which tend to be noisy and our room ( and those adjacent) had a pavement right outside which was odd. The main fault however was the kitchen. We had an evening meal at the hotel on our first night and, whilst the setting was wonderful, the food sadly was not and mine was inedible. The staff were really apologetic but you don't expect that in a hotel of this standard. This runs over into the breakfast which is a very average buffet at a ridiculously exorbitant price. As they do not seem to include breakfast in any price plan they are obviously catering for an unknown number of people so there must be huge wastage. They is also no provision for a smaller, cheaper breakfast so it's take it or leave it. After the first morning we decided to leave it! There are plenty of much cheaper and frankly much better alternatives round every corner. So- the best location and still a great alternative to the faceless hotels but sadly not a patch on the one in Sevilla. Lees meer

Great place. Only minus is the fact that breakfast is expensive, and one does not have the option to have a small breakfast,say, coffee and bread, for less than the cost of the fullbreakfast.

Amazing hotel, perfect position, beautifully authentic.

Very hard to find if you are driving in....our GPS led us through all these tiny streets, and although we got there, the receptionist told us of a very easy way to drive in - we drove out that way and it was indeed very easy.....so call ahead if you are driving. The hotel was such a surprise even though I had read the reviews - our room was by no means […] huge, but it had space for 2 chairs, adequate closet space, and a very unusual bathroom. The shower and toilet were in one room. Our shower malfunctioned the first time we turned it on, and the whole room was sprayed with water. We managed to shower, and it was promptly fixed when we reported it. They were very concerned that we were happy and that it was functioning again. The reception staff speak good English and were very helpful, offering good advice on where to eat, and providing us with a schedule of open times for sights. They parked our car and brought it out to us promptly on departure ( 18E per day, about average in Spain) and gave us good directions . The pool was such a plus.......towels laid out ( good size) late at night, and in the summer heat so welcome. The layout of the hotel is really beautiful, little courtyards, fountains and well kept gardens. Free Wifi in the sitting room only, and good reception. This hotel is so conveniently placed in the middle of the beautiful old city, it is new and we loved it. The old city has been beautifully restored, and the hotel lived up to all the reviews. The restaurant we loved was called La Tranquera.....Argentinian and Spanish, near to the river, the receptionist knew it well. Beware, this was our first stop in Spain, and we did not know the restaurants only open at 8.30 pm. The hotel was lovely, service good and position excellent once you have actually managed to find it! However, our room, 17 ( and several others adjacent) had a public footpath running across the back of it which made it rather noisy. Walkers literally brushed past our window so for privacy latticed screens had been put up to partially obscure their […] view, and ours! Unfortunately this made the room somewhat dark and gloomy. Las Casas de Juderia is a converted manor house with 65 bedrooms arranged around 4 or 5 peaceful internal courtyards. Rooms are large and comfortable and bathrooms are modern and spotless. Casas de Juderia is charming with internal patios. Centrally location in Casco Historico in Cordoba and walking distance to almost all of the sights. Bed large and very comfortable. Bathroom a little tight. Excellent restaurant attached to hotel. Wonderful breakfast buffett was included.

This is a really luxury hotel at a not luxury price. Our 2 rooms had oversize tubs with Jacuzzis and towel warmers. The location is terrific as well, in the old city walking distance to everything.

It was more than I had expected. After checking in 3 hotels throughout my spain trip, this 4th hotel was superb. Why? 1. Professional, friendly staff at the check-in counter. 2. The staff who assisted with our luggages, gave us a brief intro to the hotel's history. And bothered to explain to us how to use the heater, aircon, bubble bath, etc. 3. […] Convenience - a few mins stroll to Mezquita, Flamenco show, Roman bridge, Tourist office - everywhere! 4. Huge room with ample space for us to walk and place our luggages. Unlike our stay in Seville and Barcelona. A lot of powerpoints for you to charge your camera, mobile phone, etc. 5. Love love love the bathroom. Huge!! with separate shower and bathtub for a long, pampering bubble bath. Sort of aqua massage :p It's a 5 star rather than the rated 4-star hotel. Charming and intimate hotel. Not quite full service but that was fine with us. I take charm over a clinical and efficient corporate luxury place. The afternoon receptionist was so helpful. Passionate about his hometown and ready to recommend where to go and what to see.

This is a very charming hotel in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Cordoba which is one of the only cities in Spain that actually has anything to see in the so called Jewish Quarter. It is a great location-steps from the synagogue, the quaint shops and cafes in the Jewish quarter and a short walk to the Mezquita and the Alcazar. however, it you are […] driving do not attempt to find the hotel by yourself. The roads are all narrow and one way or under construction and the street signs are hidden or missing. Park someone on the "newer" side of town and get in a cab. The cab drivers in the old section of town make manuevers with their cars that defy all the laws of physics and I would never attempt in a million years with a rental car. We loved the charm and lovely setting of the hotel in an old home with beautiful gardens. However, they gave us a room that was next to a construction site and at 7 in the morning they started using jack hammers and mixing concrete making it impossible to sleep. We complained to the management but this is Europe so they barely. They should have compensated us somehow because it was very disruptive. Otherwise we loved the hotel. Lees meer

The design and construction of the hotel is exquisite, the appointments are top notch and the pool and outdoors areas are charming. The location is very convenient to all major sights. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable. There was one draw-back: though they advertise the availability of internet, the only plce you can […] connect is in a lobby where people smoke and drink. onderful hotel- highly recommended... Only opened 6-7 months ago.very friendly and informative receptionist. Also on arrival , concierge were on hand to take car away to park- very efficient. This is a new hotel and its gorgeous.. superb location in the jewish quarter- location unbeatable. They have a roof top swimming pool- which is excellent- surprising […] they dont promote this facility more as its a great selling point- especially during the very hot summer period. (Though should offer a better drinks service at pool)Bedrooms are lovely- not big but offer both bath and shower and this is definately 5 star standard..did not use restaurant. They should also have a bar in lounge area- although you can get drinks on request but think that would create better atmosphere... Loved the city and the hotel and would def. come back Lees meer

This hotel was an absolute delight, from the moment we arrived. The courtyards were charming, the room very well presented, and the pool was a highlight. We really enjoyed breakfast, particularly the excellent coffee. Also, fantastic location. This hotel was one of our delightful and memorable experiences in Spain.

Très bel hôtel idéalement placé au coeur du centre ville. Pas besoin de chercher à garer sa voiture, on s'en charge pour vous. Jolis patios bien entretenus. Chambre petite certes mais jolie, avec un plafond très haut. Point négatif : mauvaise isolation phonique ! Hotel parfaitement situe pour visiter toute la ville sans voiture. Chambre dans la cour, tres sombre et tres sonore ( passages dans la cour et voisins qui prennent leur douche vraiment comme dans notre chambre) mais calme la nuit. Alors, pour une ou deux nuits: correct. Mais je ne le recommande pas pour un sejour long.

Superbe hotel constitués de plusieurs maisons traditionelles reliées entre elles par des patios. Chambres très confortables, lits parfaits, salle de bains en marbre: beaucoup de charme. Situation excellente: en plein centre

Venligt personale, hyggeligt hotel med fine patioer, beliggende 1 min gang fra mesquitaen.

Hadde hørt om vanskeligheter med kjøring og parkering i Cordoba, men hotellet gikk greit å kjøre til. Stoppet bilen rett utenfor resepsjonen, leverte nøkkelen, og det var det. Rommet var stort med spesiell innredning. Flott sengegavl i rødt, dekorert skinn. Cordoba er kjent for sine skinnvarer. Du kommer i den riktige stemningen for et besøk i Cordoba […] når du bor i dette historiske palasset! Servicevennlig personale. Det eneste minus var at det var iskaldt i gangen utenfor rommet da vi besøkte hotellet i januar. Ikke så rart da det er åpne løsninger inn mot patioer og vinteren kan være kald her. Prisen for å bo på et så flott sted var veldig lav takket være tilbudet vi fant på Hotels.com. Hilsen fra et trøndersk par som hadde to flotte dager i Cordoba. Lees meer
