Not only is the hotel convenient if you want to see the D.C. sights (they have free shuttle 24 hours a day to within 5 miles, specifically to the metro, which will get you anywhere in DC) the immediate surrounding area is a must see too. The hotel is new and clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Short shuttle right to Pentagon City metro station. When we returned and called for a pick up we only waited at most ten minutes -- and that was during rush hour. Great chocolate chip cookies at the desk in the afternoon. I liked the room we have been their before, the bed in our room must have been broken it was like we were sleeping on a piece of wood very uncomfortable,If we come back we will certainly make sure the bed is to our liking.

Great location! Shuttle bus to METRO was easy! Parking across street on fourth floor garage was free and easy! Hotel staff extremely nice,too! Tons of restaurants right there and a wide variety!!!! Friendly neighborhood. Hotel room was updated and very stylish! Will stay again!

I was unexpectedly surprised that the Reward Points promised by the literature did not work when you book the hotel through Hotel.com. The front desk made it clear that they could not count the nights stayed for the HH Reward Points unless you book through Hilton. Makes sense, I guess, but I was picking hotels based on the point system without figuring […] out the validity of the booking venue. I had asked for an upper story room (and got 2nd floor) and asked for a complimentary breakfast for one of the two days stay, which they refused due to booking via Hotel.com. Loved everything except it is not within walking distance of the metro. The hotel does offer free shuttle 24 hrs a day but that still means you have to call them and wait to be picked up. Much harder to come and go. Loved the location compared to the restaurants and shops right behind the hotel. Nice safe area and free parking.

This hotel was just perfect. It was very new and clean. Located in a convenient commercial area with lots of stores and restaurants. Free parking was really nice. Free internet was awesome. Both amenities are typically not offered free at other hotels in the same area. I would stay here again if I have a chance to visit DC again.

Nice new hotel in the great little village. The hotel is conveniently located next to a selection of great restaurants, a grocery store, an independent movie theater and a performing arts theater all within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean, new and comfortable

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Shirlington, as we were seeing a show in the area, at the Signature Theatre. The hotel was within walking distance of the theatre and in a great neighborhood, with lots of restaurant choices. i love staying at this hotel and will continue to do so anytime we go to the DC area. The surrounding neighborhood appeals to everyone and you never have to get in your car to do anything if you don't want to. Very hospitable staff and clean room.

I don't expect a lot from maids in chain hotels. I do however expect them to be able to make the bed, change the towels (when left of the floor), wipe down the bathroom counter, and provide clean drinking glasses. None of these expectations were met during our 3 day stay. In fact, the sheets were not changed prior to our arrival. I know that because […] when I climbed into bed there was "an item" left from the previous guest. I should have just checked out. It was an omen of coming attractions. One day the bed never got made. Another the towels were not changed. We were never provided clean drinking glasses. I am not certain the maids were issued cleaning rags as they clearly did not believe in using them. The location of the hotel is great, but I'd avoid this hotel until they get the maid service up to snuff. Lees meer

This is an excellent Hotel with shops and restaurants close by. A shuttle bus runs every 1/2 hour taking you to the Metro station and for few $'s you can be in the City (very easy to use).

The hotel is a great place to stay, with a capable and friendly staff and comfortable accommodations, but most interesting to me was the Shirlington area. I'd never even heard of it, but within easy walking distance of the hotel were some phenomenal boutique shops and some yummy eating places. Parking was a bit skitchy; they don't explain (or at least […] I didn't see where they did) that you have to pull in to the parking garage across the street and go up to the fourth level. The hotel is located within a shopping center that has a Harris Teeter grocery store across the street and many fine restaurants. The Capitol Brewing Company, with great beer on tap, and good food, is less than a 5 minute walk. To top things off, the hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful, and the hotel is less than a 1/2 mile walk from the condo […] our Son and Daughter-In-Law live in. If you like to run, there is a a great trail through the woods about 1/2 mile from the hotel. Quiet, convenient, clean and hospitable. If you like to sight see, D. C. is only about 15 minutes away. What a great place to stay, accommodations were exquisite. Only flaw is transportation into DC, no metro nearby, but I believe the hotel makes accommodations for this.

what really recommends this hotel is the great location next to a lovely 'village' of shops and restaurants. My biggest problem was with a very distinct odor in the room. . It may have been the rugs or furniture...but I couldn't figure out what it was. And because I couldn't pinpoint it, I wasn't sure how to report it to the front desk. This is a new hotel located in a great location. You can walk to just about any type of restaurant you want and there is a 24 hour grocery store across the street. The staff is SUPER NICE and they offer a affordable decent breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.

Having booked this hotel, we went to three other Hilton hotels in Arlington before we finally found the correct one ! Please name the hotels more clearly !!

This hotel was extremely convenient to DC. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Internet access was a plus as was the shuttle to and from the Metro and surrounding areas.

Got in late Saturday night from a long flight from Australia the check in people were great and helpful on were we could get something to eat at such a late hour. The rooms are clean and new with free Wi-Fi.The hotel is located near great resturants with a great coffee shop around the corner from the hotel and the Metro for getting into DC and cheap […] fares.Across the road the best supermarket open 24 hours Harries Teeter had everything.Would recommend to stay here always Lees meer

We originally were suppose to be staying somewhere for a wedding but since one of our friends lived one block away and we had a chance to view the area first we decided to stay here. I will definetly stay here again. The room was very clean. The comforters on the bed were very nice. It was very accessible to shops and the airport.

Our stay was fine other than being given a key to an occupied room at check-in. Fortunately, when we opened the door and saw that it was occupied, no one was there. The front desk staff took care of the situation quickly, but the fact that this could occur so easily was a little unsettling. We made sure to deadbolt our door when in our room. Also, housekeeping […] was a little slow to clean the room. Overall, however, we would definitely stay again on our next trip to DC. Chose this hotel for three reasons: 1) Had two queen beds, why don't East Coast hotels have two queen beds? All seem to have two doubles at best. 2) Close to DC by car. 3) Low Price. Found out low price was because window had a view of brick wall 15 feet away. This was fine, we were not there for the view only to sleep and there was no road noise. Hotel […] provided breakfast for purchase but the Dining Room was completely overwhelmed the first morning we tried to use it, so we did not partake of it again. The Shirlington Village offered a number of dining alternatives in walking distance from the hotel. this is a real gem of a hotel. i didn't want to stay in Washington DC because of cost, traffic and parking so i looked outside the city and found this hotel located in a fantastic little village full of outdoor cafes, boutiques and a wide variety of restaurants. The indoor parking was free and there was a grocery story outside the hotel so very convenient […] for picking up soft drinks, snacks etc; the pool is very small--more like a lap pool but there is a fairly good size hot tub. the breakfasts are fixed price and at around $13.00 I found that too expensive for a muffin and two poached eggs but you can find plenty of other places around to eat in. the shuttle service to the metro was very prompt. we went to a baseball game by subway it was that close! i was really pleasantly surprised at this hotel and I would definitly stay here again. Housekeeping was poor. The room was not ready even though we showed up after 5PM. We found out after going to the room as the front desk was unaware that the room was not ready. Housekeeping throughout the week was poor. Some days not all glasses were replaced. Guests need to schedule the hotel shuttle in advance. You need to take the shuttle for a […] five minute ride to the Pentagon City Metro Station which will get you to all major tourist points in DC. If the shuttle is not available, a cab ride will cost about $15 including tip. There is an Enterprise car rental one block away. Don't eat the overpriced hotel breakfast. The market across the street sells hot breakfast sausage/egg sandwiches and you can buy cut fresh fruit, etc. for a fraction of the restaurant price. Lees meer

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Many amenities like a microwave and refrigerator. It was across the street from a Harris Teeter (that looks like a department store from the outside!) and within a short walking distance of the Village of Shirlington...close to many great restaurants.

We loved this hotel! Convenient shuttle to Metro. The village was fabulous! The hotel was immaculately clean, and staff was very helpful! A hidden gem in Arlington-Shirlington!
