Hilton New York Fashion District in New York

Hotel ligt prima om vanuit naar verschillende bekende bezienswaardigheden te gaan. Wij deden dat vaak tevoet en met de metro. Hotel staat in een relatief rustige straat waar je goed slaapt. Hotelkamer is complact, netjes en voorzien van een lekker bed en goede douche. Personeel vriendelijk.

Het beste hotel tot nu toe voor mij. De kamer was wel aan de kleine kant maar de kwaliteit en de staat van de kamer was echt verbluffend mooi.Het eten zelf in het hotel is niet aan te raden. Advies ga buiten eten, Wireless internet is niet gratis en kost veel per dag!!! Het hotel was goed te bereiken via openbaar vervoer. Eenmaal aangekomen moet je […] de airtrain (eindhalte Jamaica uitstappen en hierna een uitcheckkaartje kopen van 5 dollar )nemen vanaf JFK ( dit was het vliegveld waar ik aankwam). Eenmaal bij Jamaica neem de subway E of J en stap bij station 23th street uit. Het is ongeveer 200 m lopen met koffers naar het hotel. Je kan ook de taxi nemen deze is alleen 10 keer duurder. Voor de rest is NY best lopend te bezichtigen behalve als je naar upstate gaat. Oh ja elke keer als je de metro pakt kost het 2,50 dollar per rit, het maakt niet uit hoe ver de rit is (niet zoals NL met verschillende zones Adam) tip gebruik Yelp op je smartphone om de beste restaurants te zien. Our stay was very pleasant at the Fashion 26 hotel. The hotel is fresh and clean, and gives you a safe and comfortable feeling. We stayed when the hotel was open for a month. Aside from the fact that our room was new, tidy and comfortable, being on the 22nd floor, we constantly heard the sound of something that we thought was the central airconditioning […] on the rooftop. Het personeel achter de frontdesk was correct maar echt vriendelijk kon je het onthaal/de service niet noemen. Zo ontbrak bij aankomst op onze kamer de radio/alarmklok-set en de Wifi docking station. Dit werd bij gemeld maar ondanks belofte nooit in orde gebracht. Bij het uitchecken werd een rekening van de minibar gepresenteerd, terwijl die nooit gebruikt […] werd. Excuses voor dit misverstand werden niet gehoord. Voor een 4 sterren hotel nog een aantal minpuntjes : de opbergruimte voor kledij was minimaal, in de badkamer ontbrak een rek of iets dergelijks om( natte) handdoeken op te hangen, de kosten voor Wifi-gebruik waren overdreven hoog, de rooftop bar sloot op zondagavond n.b. al om 21 uur !!! Vermits het hotel pas recent geopend werd, was alles nog in onberispelijke staat, het design is eigentijds en trendy. Kluisje op de kamer is altijd superhandig. Metrohaltes zijn vlakbij. Very nice and updated hotel. Nice restaurant downstairs. Convenient location to subways and safe area. Laundry mat across the street if you need it like I did. Comfortable room. Would definitey stay here again.

The room was fantastic and the employees were quite helpful. The only thing I didn't like about it was having to pay $15 a day for internet. That kind of thing comes free most places.

it was a very comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay. a little pricey for size of room and location. restaurant is fabulous!

I stayed at the Hilton in the Fashion District on W 26th St. For the high cost per night of this room, I would expect that to include internet access (they charge a ridiculous extra rate) and I expect a real, full sized ironing board, not a miniature toy one. A mini fridge would also be reasonable. Rooms are very small. I also noticed the maid service […] doesn't wash or replace the glasses, they just wipe them out, and not well either. wasnt my first time to stay in this hotel...both were the tail end of my business trip..which started out in different nyc hotels. both times..i was reluctant to book stays in a 'hilton' -in nyc - specially when there were other potentially more exciting and compelling choices. All the times i stayed here made me realize that it was a very well maintained […] hotel..with great room sizes..and very very clean bathrooms. it was a hopping location and the lobby was buzzing w/ a cross demographic of biz traveller and young, hip people....the location is soo convenient to midtown, chelsea, meatpacking..and most of all ..whole foods..lol..all in all....very solid choice Lees meer

Have been to NYC many times as my daughter went to FIT and is now a resident. So, I've stayed in many hotels here. My husband and I were very impressed with this hotel---sparkling clean, very courteous staff, close to everything, VERY reasonable rates--who could ask for more? It's not your parents' Hilton! This Garment District Hilton was remarkably stylish and attractive. I choose it because I came in from Newark Airport and it is only 5 blocks from Penn Station. I paid extra for an upper floor room, and while only on the 20th the view was good and I was farther from the street noise (lots of young partiers out on a Friday […] night). Big screen tv, decent coffee maker, very nice bathroom, plenty large room, really all quite ok. I didn't arrive until 2:00 am due to late flight but it posed no problem. Easy walk to Chelsea, SOHO. Prices in New York vary by the day. This was the best price for a room with two doubles.(not queens, but adequate for our purposes) Hotel has restaurants and room service. IT is walking distance to penn station. I would chose it again. .

I recently spent a week and weekend at the Hilton New York Fashion district. It was a great location for both business (proximity to my office) and leisure (Nice walk to Times Square and Central Park). The hotel is clean and has lovely decoration. The service is excellent, whether it be in the restaurant, roof top bar, room service, or when you're […] waiting in the lobby (I was given a bottle of water). Very comfortable room. Definitely would go back and recommend it as a great value.

Hotel is in a great part of Manhatten, within walking distance of The Meat Packing District, Time Square, West and East Villages and subway stations. Room was nice and very clean, and although some days we didn't leave the room until 2pm it still got made. The only issues I had was that one day we came back to find the ipod dock had been removed which […] was annoying as we had been using it everyday but it was quickly returned after speaking to reception. And wifi was $15 a day which I thought pretty steep! Hotel staff nice and helpful. Room was nice but on the small side for the price - one chair and not much room for it. Found some very good restaurants in the area and enjoyed the galleries in Chelsea and the high line-- but these were a good walk from the hotel (9th to 11th Avenue).

We took a bus up from Baltimore. It dropped us 2 blocks away. So easy. The hotel was clean and modern. The staff helpful. Several subway lines close by. For being a hotel, the bed wasn't half bad either. The only improvement we could ask for would be the ability to leave the fan on constantly for the HVAC as white noise. The hotel was recently built so clean & modern. Baths are done in granite with a large shower. Rooms are adequate by NYC standards. Staff were especially helpful and polite. Including WiFi with the room would be a good suggestion, as the business centre was quite small. The hotel restaurant specializes in burgers, however there are a variety of restaurants […] in the neighbourhood. Great location for the Chelsea galleries. Lees meer

We had a wonderful 6 day/night stay. Hotel service/staff was excellent, and there is a great little "roof top" bar with a beautiful view - nice place for a nightcap! Subway access is only a few blocks in any direction (so expect to do a little walking) and provides easy access anywhere in the city. There are numerous little bars and restaurants within […] minutes walking distance from the hotel, and also deli's, fast food, and beverage stores if you want to pick something up and take it back to the room. Everything about our room was perfect. I paid for a higher floor, and as a result had an incredible view of the Empire State building. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was very spacious (in the New York sense of the word!) The hotel bar and restaurant (Rare) was fantastic, and the service great. I have only two complaints about this […] hotel: 1) There is no handsoap in the bathroom! There are all sorts of facial soaps and shampoos, but nothing to wash your hands with! 2) We were on the 21st floor and could hear every little thing happening 21 floors below on the street. In fact, we were awoken at 7am by a jackhammer that kept going for 4 hours. We could also hear everything going on on our floor- every step the housemaids took, every time they knocked on a door, every time the elevator opened...of course, that's not necessarily the fault of the hotel, but just be wary when you book that if you're a light sleeper, you're in for a rough time. This is the perfect Hotel! Right off 7th ave. in walking distance to times square. Hotel is spotless. Rare bar and grill in the hotel has great food and drinks with at roof top bar. The best place to stay in NY

Great location with fantastic views from higher rooms. However be warned, if you are on the 22nd floor you can hear the roof top bar. The roof top bar is so so, not the best in the city. Overall great value hotel in a good location.

In comparison to many other small Hiltons we've stayed in the city, we found the sheets to be scratchy, the bath towel supply skimpy and the cable channels extremely limited. The lighting inside the door was so poor, we could not use the full length mirror at all. The small fridge provided no space for even one bottle of juice or soda - just the over […] priced hotel fare. Even though there are four elevators, service carts (w/ food or dishes, etc) were always in all of the elevators. And one elevator was being reserved exclusively for the roof top bar crowd in the evening, which I found to be about as elegant as a college fraternity rooftop - very cheap, wine in plastic cups, etc. Overall the hotel is clean and the staff friendly, but We would not recommend this one over the hundreds of comparable choices to make. Stayed 4 nights, can't remember a night where there were not fairly loud noise from the garbage trucks that seemed to take 15 to 30 minutes to finish their load and then repeats in another hour...for 2 or 3 times throughout and latest at around 3am. Window's sound isolation is not adequate. I have had experience with far better sound isolated windows […] in newer buildings in NY. This does not seem acceptable to me for the class and price of this hotel. I don't expect silence but it's a bit too much and would not recommend unless you don't care about noise. Lees meer

3 of us stayed in a room with 2 double beds and it fit us perfectly for our 4 day stay. The staff is extremely courteous and ere very helpful with everything that we needed. The rooftop bar is a great scene, especially when you don't feel like venturing too far off! The location is excellent. Many things are within walking distance and the area was […] clean! If you are travelling with a friend, or a brother or sister this hotel is fantastic because the double rooms have two double beds. That's pretty rare. The local is excellent. Its in midtown in the fashion district. Its about a 20 minute walk to time square. I really liked this because we were not squashed into the tourist area of New York, we had a […] more authentic experience while still being close to everything. The hotel service was excellent. The conceirge was so helpful, pleasant and went out of her way to serve us, it was truly refreshing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I go back to New York Lees meer

Friendly and helpful staff in clean and efficient modern hotel. The setting is great for getting to midtown or further, with several subway lines within a couple of blocks. There are only a couple of elevators, so there can be a short wait, and a couple of days housekeeping did not come until the very end of the day, but these are very minor considerations […] in an otherwise delightful experience. We stayed at the Hilton on a Sunday night to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was easily accessible to the 1 line (two blocks away). When we arrived to check in, the staff was very friendly. Our room was wonderful--beautiful, clean, king-sized bed and a great view of the city (we had a spectacular view of midtown--including the Empire State Building). […] We went out for the night and came back too late to go to the rooftop lounge but the bar was a very nice area. Right in the heart of Chelsea within walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Manhattan. Fair price for this location. WiFi was an additional $15 per day - I wish this cost was included in the room price, but I assume they want to minimize the number of guests and surrounding businesses that are accessing their wireless network. overall 4 out of 5...the wireless internet is the only thing that wasn't really good. Only after connecting with one device and not being able to get another device to connect was I told that only one device can be connected per account. This is ridiculous not to offer a plan for multiple devices, phone, ipad, laptop--there's 3 right there, for one […] person. I was able to speak to the IT company running the wireless service, and have my 1 connection transferred from my phone to another device, but this should be communicated BEFORE a guest signs up for the service...
