Hotel DeBrett in Auckland

Beautiful hotel. Amazing location. Wonderful staff... But rooms are very VERY small and overpriced for what they are. Ridiculously so. If you've got the money, knock yourself out and enjoy it. But I certainly didn't feel like there was any real value in my spend.

Ideal location, very clean and nice rooms, friendly staff free wi-fi. Only minor complaint is free breakfast could use some more selections.

We stayed for a couple of days with our 2 daughters of 4 and 5 years old. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay here again if we should visit Auckland once more. The staff were brilliant and so positive and helping!

Arrived with a sleepless 2YO, parked in a loading zone with numerous bags to repack thanks to a long drive and trying to kill the 2yo boredom. Very fun, comfortable boutique hotel in Auckland near the harbor.

DeBrett is a very small but elegant hotel, with an art-deco theme. Service is outstanding, helpful throughout. Room was comfortable with unusual but delightful decor. Free internet a big plus. Great interiors, clever design. Well located in town to walking distance to viaduct, Queen st etc. Friendly staff, continental breakfast was small and limited - but nice.

We undoubtedly had a bad room in a great Hotel. Queen bed was in a room with no windows and to get in and out of the bed you had to climb over the end, very claustrophobic. Fantastic retro red hanging lights over the bed were great to look at but impossible to use to read. Living/entry room had beautiful windows with drapes but when you opened them […] you had diners looking straight at you 2 meters from the window. Gorgeous hotel - the rooms are full of quirky, yet very comfortable furniture and all amentities have been provided for their guests with a sense of care while still being visually pleasing. Great food and wine in the bar and restaurant and lots of interesting areas to sit in. The personable staff made us feel at home and were happy to attend to any […] requests without any fuss. Good location too - lots of cafes, shops and bars to explore and an easy walk to the main tourist attractions. A classic boutique hotel with cool design. The neighborhood is a bit corporate and boring. Beware the 10am checkout time -- apparently the DeBrett is looking to buck the global precedent on that. I ignored it but they may enforce it sometimes...?

We booked this Hotel without knowing anything about it. But it exceeded our expectations. The room was well equipped with a comfortable bed and blackout curtains. The food in the restaurant, The Kitchen, was excellent and the staff really make you feel welcome. If you are going to Auckland, why stay anywhere else. But shhh, don't tell too many people or we will have trouble booking in!

Nice hotel and staff are friendly however 2 complaints, firstly check out at 10am is a bit cheeky considering the price you pay. Room service meals were luke warm, nice food but stone cold within minutes. I can honestly say there is far better value for money in Auckland!

This is a beautiful example of sleek, modern design inside a heritage building in perfect CBD location. Staff were lovely (and refreshingly not dressed in black); room was spacious, quiet and comfortable (bed was like a cloud); brekkie was simple and tasty. Only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy Auckland in RWC fever.

Terrific hotel. Beautiful loft suite. Lovely bar and restaurant. Location is close to many pubs, cafes and boutique shops. also a 10 minute walk to the wharf. They should have staff to help with bags.

I loved this hotel so much, I want to go back! What a great experience. This is a boutique hotel that is well maintained, cozy, and in a great center of the city. First off, I loved the room. Amazing and comfortable bed, ridiculously cute furnishings, and a very sexy bathroom. Then, the lounge/dining area is a great atrium and a great place to unwind […] after a day with a glass of wine. We had delicious breakfasts every morning in the restaurant. The staff was really nice and cute. This was a vacation, but I would go back to New Zealand because of this hotel. Lees meer

I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. The decor is fantastic, my suite had an amazing bathroom, the concierge was extremely helpful, the location is very convenient, the food was good... my only complaint was a slow internet connection - everything else was top notch.

The design of this hotel is second to none - absolutely stunning! Our suite was spacious, unique, comfortable, quiet and elegant. Every detail has been thought of which lets the guest just relax completely and enjoy the pampering. We honestly felt like royalty! There are two sets of windows which get rid of all the noise of a busy street outside allowing […] a peaceful sleep in one of the most dreamy beds I've slept in. Where to start with the bathroom - from the rain shower head to the deep, long soaker tub and the floor to ceiling tile, it was a welcome oasis after tramping around Auckland for the day. We ate breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed dinner as well. The culinary team is thoughtful, inventive and at the top of their game with a service team to match - Well done! It's the little things that count and this hotel must be commended for the numerous extra touches - the complimentary drink in the drawing room hosted by the manager before dinner felt like we were family being welcomed home and having wireless internet access included in the room rate (which was so reasonable) was invaluable and, unfortunately, a rarity in New Zealand. Without exception, every member of the hotel staff that we came in contact with was focused on providing professional and individually-tailored service! The front desk staff was especially notable in their willingness to assist with our questions and requests. Hands down, the best hotel I've ever stayed in! The management of this hotel is to be congratulated for creating an experience that its guests won't soon forget - I know we won't! We stayed here just prior to travelling back to Canada after a three week tour of New Zealand and a big thanks goes to the hotel debrett for leaving us with such a great memory of our final few days of a fantastic trip - truly, icing on the cake! We were totally impressed with all aspects of Hotel de Brett. The rooms were styled & furnished to an incredibly high standard, we've stayed in top notch rooms in London, LA & NY which were nowhere near as styley as Hotel de Bretts. We only had one night in Auckland and decided not to go out after dinner (as we weren't sure where to go) but we weren't […] ready for bed yet. We went back to our hotel and to the Drawing Room - such a super idea - like our own lounge room and a fully stocked honesty bar. We chilled out in there for hours listening to old school records on the turntable & fixing our own drinks at the bar. We had the drawing room to ourselves but it would have worked just as well if other guests had been there too. Can't recommend highly enough. From layout to staff to location to vibe, it made our short stay in Auckland super memorable. Lees meer

DeBrett is a hotel for the young and trendy business person, judging by the people who congregated for coffee under my window in the covered courtyard that serves as the hotel's restaurant and breakfast area. Overall I enjoyed staying here but would have wished for a room facing the street. Despite fairly good insulation it is still a little noisy especially […] when there is live entertainment in the restaurant below. Although my window could be opened, it served no purpose as the courtyard is covered in, so no fesh air. Oddly, the windows to the street cannot be opened because of the noise, I was told, when inquiring. The airconditioning is discrete and can be turned off, though. My other advice: stick to the continental breakfast (included) as breakfast a la carte costs you: every mushroom and strip of bacon you order with your scrambled eggs has to be paid for separately. Fantastic location right in heart of Auckland - yet no noise from outside. Quality of service was outstanding - cleanliness and room comfort could not be faulted. Drinks in the 'Drawing Room' followed by great dinner in the Restaurant - all lived up to 5 Star Standard Would definitely stay here again!

位置於奧克蘭巿中心商業區，交通非常便利，步行十分鐘內可到火車站、港口、購物中心。這是一家精品式酒店，建築物三層樓，看起來有一段歷史，內部設計風格卻是非常獨特摩登，有藝術氣息及後現代簡潔風。飯店內只有一間餐廳，供應全日餐飲，一間閱讀交誼廳，可免費租借DVD及書藉。全巿商店在下午六點前結束，只有餐廳及酒吧營業至午夜，24小時的便利店及速食店。
