From the picture on the website I did not know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel I had booked into was in fact a stately home with beautifully manicured gardens. The bed was the most comfortable one my husband and I have slept on during our travels throughout Europe. However the hotel is not close to the airport or train station at all. This was the only reason we selected this hotel, aside from the awesome price. I loved everything about the place except for the location.

I was expecting basic accommodation but this was very disappointing even with my low expectations. It was an extremely small room with 2 bunk beds. The beds were uncomfortable and I hardly slept. The room was shabby, with spiders webs with a variety of wildlife stuck in them behind the radiators. The bathroom was so decrepit that we didn't even use […] the shower for fear of being dirtier when we came out.! Besides we were provided with hand towels only which aren't great for preserving your modesty when you are a family with a teenager sharing a small room! The bathroom didn't even have a glass for a drink of water. Luckily, we were only here for one night and I certainly won't be returning. Lees meer

see travel experience

my first stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise, giving great value for money. the accomodation was adequate and very clean. Leaving the car for two weeks at no cost will prove to be a big plus for those flying out on holiday from prestwick. The past history of the estate was interesting, sorry i didn't have a longer stay.

Arrived at hotel late at night to check in,shown to room - twin room.The decor was nice,tv and kettle with a choice of hot drinks.Left very early in the morning,but would have liked to stay longer. Hotel is located in beautiful grounds,staff are friendly and very helpful,would definitely return in the future.

Glorious setting, beautiful grounds with mature trees, extensive lawns, yet only five minutes from Prestwick Airport, and we didn't hear aircraft noise. The house is an impressive 19th C pile, handsomely proportioned, so we were a little disappointed our room was in the 1980s block, but we dined in the main house. Slight "Marie Celeste" feeling on our […] visit: only three guests! We were well looked after by friendly and attentive receptionists - evening as well as early morning staff members. Dinner was enjoyable, served in the vast dining room, although a wider choice on the menu would be appreciated. Our bedroom was a bit basic, and bathroom awaiting upgrading. The digital reception on the TV wasn't working properly, and lack of bedside table at one side was a nuisance. All in all, it suited our purpose very well, and the setting was lovely, so we'd certainly return in the future. Lees meer

Accueil vraiment sympa, en français. Diner correct. Bon rapport qualité prix.

tres mauvais acceuil,etions loges non pas dans la grande batisse de maitre mais a l'arriere,chambre minable,arrives a 19h45 a cause d'un accident ils ont refuses de nous servir a manger,pas de biere pression au bar,le monsieur de l'acceuil doit changer de metier.....a eviter absolument!!!!!!!

Hôtel proche de l'aéroport par le taxi. Très bons services souvent gratuits et accueil chaleureux. Grande bâtisse avec bar, restaurant, billard, Tv.

Mycket mysigt hotell belägen mitt i en park med mycket grönska, väldigt nära flygplatsen (man måste åka taxi ändå). Tyvärr, hade vi inte tid att utförska omgivningen:(. Mycket personlig och trevlig personal. Vi kände oss väl omhändertagna och fick bra service. Vi bodde i ett rum som låg i lägsta prisklassen. Det var mycket prisvärt. Hotellets läge var perfekt. The hotel is in a lovely setting and the main house looks very charming. I had booked into the annexe into one of the express rooms. I arrived at 11 at night at Prestwick airport so was using the hotel as a stopping off location.
