I have never written a hotel review before, but after such a bad experience, I would lke to save any other potential visitors from wasting their money and time at this hotel. To summarise, the hotel is old and lacks management. The rooms are now dirty, damp and under-equipped. We found mould on ceilings and shower curtains, ants in the coffee sachets, […] no minibar, ironing board, iron or trouser press. The room had no ventilation although there was a small vent in one wall which we were assured would be turned on at 7pm. It wasn't. The area is relatively cool for Malaysia, but the old, dark, damp rooms require ventilation. The curtains are merely pieces of light fabric, meaning that sleep is impossible once the sun rises. Myself and my parents were due to stay here for 3 nights and stayed just one. The hotel staff were under-supported by management and as such were unable to address our concerns. The hotel manager was apparently on holiday for 3 days and in his absence, the staff informed us that no one else had any authority to assist us. The Cameron Highlands are not easily accessible and for us, the 5 hour drive there was a complete waste of time. Within minutes of arriving we wanted to leave. I really do hope that if you are considering Century Pines as a possible hotel for your stay, then this review will ensure that you stay somewhere else that is clean and fit for purpose and not a depressing, dirty, run-down establishment. The first room had a safe that did not work and s door thst gave onto a balcony which could not be locked because the lock was broken. The next room had no outside door, but the safe again did not work. The overall impression was that the hotel was not being maintained adequately and the rooms were rather tired and in bad need of refurbishment.The breakfast […] was good and the front desk staff did their best to resolve our problems, but the bottom line is that the hotel needs to invest in more than a fancy front lobby. The bed sheet is slightly dirty,the location of hotel is still ok.

Not a great stay. No remote control for TV - they ran out of it??!! Linen was dirty. Bed was huge though. Hair dryer was broken - they didnt fix it even after telling them so. Some initial confusion on their part in the booking but they cleared it up. Could be much better.

We had ground floor unit. Its very good with our own balcony. My family like it very much.

nice hotal....recommend!!!

I staying 1 night in the resort on X'mas Eve. I'd like to say I was warmly welcome to the entrance door, staff were friendly. I came from a checkout Inn in Ringlet and came all the way here, I was a little tired. And so when I got my room key at the front counter, I went in and dumped my bags on the ground and took a nap. However there ain't any peace […] during my nap, I wish it were sound proof as everything is so loud from the outside. I guess there was a conference or Mosque nearby, the person doing the speech were talking very loud, mike echoed. He woked me up from my nap making me feeling dizzy. I don't feel very good about the whole place xcept for the hall and eating area. Even at night during my sleep, I had a nightmare of the silent window, something out there is staring at me. Maybe I am not having enough of sleep, and it's just maybe.. But one thing that I love about this place is that it is very convenient to the town and the mini bus terminal area for easy transport access. Nice shop and eating places at Tanah Rata. Overall rating is ok but the location is quite near the main road and you can hear traffic noise and also a very loud morning call form the opposite Surau.

Hotel is located about 500m from bus drop-off point and it easily accessible by walking, if you know the way. Surrounding environment is quiet and pleasant, away from the heavy main road traffic. For slightly more, it is value for money to chose Century Pines Resort.

the room was nice with basic needs.just that the sheets has stains.breakfast was ok.had a few choices.the room service was a bit slow.sometimes no one answered the call.overall it was a pleasant stay.

located at tanah rata town, 5 minutes to brichang town

This hotel is very comfortable and nice. I had my 2 nights staying here, deluxe with garden. spacious room and clean. however, the breakfast are not really up to the standard. the view nice and the location is at tanah rata, more peaceful compare to brinchang. Easy to buy and eat food near to the hotel, specifically malay food.

This is a lovely hotel, nicely situated, clean rooms and decent service is provided. For peope who are looking for a hotel with lots of facilities however, this might not be the right choice. This is no bar and the restaurant was mainly used for breakfast. Otherwise a very charming place and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a Deluxe room (320) for the 3 nights stay and it was simply great. I originally booked for a superior room from Agoda.com without breakfast and changed my booking to Hotels.com when i saw a similar deal for deluxe room with daily breakfast. Driving to Tapah was a breeze but you should have sufficient credit in your touch-n-go card. I would recommend […] at least RM150 if you're travelling to-and-fro Singapore. It took us 6 hours to arrive at Tana Rata. Just follow the road signs and drive carefully as the roads are similar to those days going up to Genting Highlands. (Not as steep but very windy). Strawberry farms are everywhere and this rainy season, you won't be able to get extremely sweet strawberries in Cameron Highlands as compared to the non-rainy season. However the corns / maize are sweet and goes for RM1 each and could be eaten raw. A must try!! Places to visit include but not limited to the Time Tunnel which comes with a RM5 entrance fee. It worth every cent reminiscing the 70s' where i grew up. I also drove to the Boh Tea farm which is a treacheous drive down the valley on a 1.5 lane-width road often having to handle both ways traffic. Use your horns on blind corners. The Boh Tea plantation is closed on Mondays. Buffet breakfast in the hotel is the standard spread however, there are flies everywhere in the dinning area. The best thing about the room is the huge super king size (8 feet) bed. The room is huge as well. However, they removed the bath-tub stopper posting a notice that do not allow soaking in the long bath. Some reviews claimed the water took some time to heat up and toggles between hot and cold while bathing. I was lucky not to have such issues. Overall experience was fantatic! Room Tip: If you want to avoid the parking issues and crowd in the Binchang town, then Tana Rata is the place for you. Lees meer

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for four nights. We booked a superior room, which was spacious and has a gigantic king-sized bed. It is the biggest bed I've ever seen. It was very quiet and super conveniently located. Only five minutes to the main Tana Ratha, yet not in the middle of hassle. Breakfast was mostly very satisfactory. yet, one morning […] when there weren't many customers, they chose to serve select menu instead of buffet and it' was disappointing. Genewrally, all sorts of services provided are satisfied. I reached there about 2pm on that day, thought could check in by 2pm. Somehow, I did not able to check in on time as stated in your booking sheet. They reason for it simply because the hotel was fully occupied on the day before. You can tell this hotel was very nice in its day however its starting to show its age a little, the room was spacious, breakfast was big and varied, the service was friendly and helpful.

Hotel has a good location, close to bus station and Tana Rata city restaurants etc., but that's the only reason to stay at this hotel. Room conditions are standart to poor. Bed clothes had stains as well as the towels, which was discusting, the bathroon was noticeable not perfectly clean. To have hot water you need to turn un the water heater of your […] room half an hour in advance. Breakfast had a wide selection of asian dishes (which to me looked like lunch) but not much of western regular breakfast, I couldn't see cheese or variaty of cereals, pancakes, etc, on the buffet. This hotel will be much better if management would make an effort and invest just a bit... but apparently they don't care. ok hotel for the money. mediocre breakfast. clean rooms. walking distance to village center and all restaurants.

Check in took a long time when I arrived at 4.30pm. Room size is good but it is very basic. If you are not fussy about your accomodation, this will be fine. But for me, I will not recommend to my friends or return to this hotel.

Best part of this hotel is its location. Its in the corner of Tanah Rata. Just opposite bus terminal, clinic, public garden and very close to all the food outlets. Basically I went to cameron to relax in great cool weather. Which I found. The hotel toilet design was good but the ventilation was poor and therefore a constant smell persist. Hotel management […] atleast must put the air purifiers inside. The bed was big enough for 2 adult and 2 kids. We never book breakfast for kids and it was available for 15 rm which is ok. Rooms were big and spacious, clean. Bed was HUGE. REALLY BIG. you could probably fit 3-4 full sized adults on it comfortably. hot water was "limited". you cannot take long hot showers. prob around 15-20min of hot water at best. i took the room with the private garden, but unfortunately, the private garden was shared with other rooms as well along […] the same row. you can basically walk to their room through the garden, so no, it wasn't that private to me. :( breakfast was crap. be prepared to bring your own food. other than that, the hotel was great. location was pretty ok, 10-15min walk from a small town centre where there's food and drinks. weather was cool, if you're there just to unwind and relax, with a nice big comfy bed, this is for you.. Location is great as it's not far from main road, yet the sound of traffic does not disturb my good night rest even though i opt for a room facing the town. (probably it was low season, hence less traffic) Room is big & i love the fact that they have duplex & ground level room that is open to a small courtyard. Walking distance (5min walk) to town of […] Tanah Rata where the shops & eateries are, very safe to walk even at night. There's a park just across the road, good for families with young tot. Breakfast is adequate. Service of front office is so-so, would do good if they are more friendly & less "because the policy states..." attitude. I asked for a late-checkout at 1pm and was denied, this being a normal working Monday, non-holiday period & occupancy was low. My boyfriend and myself were having a holiday in Asia and has driven from Penang to spend a night in Cameron. We wanted a nice hotel in a good location so that we could go walking in the jungle easily and to explore the town. Century pines is located in Tanah Rata a good location for that, however, there is a big building side just beside, which makes […] it unattractive. The lobby of the hotel looked grand, but room where badly maintained, bed sheets with lots of stains as mentioned by other reviewers. We were first given a room that was damp and smelled mouldy, overlooking the building site and heavy road. We changed room to the other block (B) which was slightly better. Breakfast was okay with sufficient variety, staff was friendly to us. I would not choose to stay there again due to the bad maintainene (we called them 3 times to fix different things in the room) and cleaniness being unsastifactory. Lees meer

nice and quiet surrounding with spacious room with big bed.. good for couples travelling with 1 or 2 young kids and can easily accomodate all. morning breakfast quality leaves room for improvment though since some food are cold.. maybe due to the cooling weather.

This stay was horrible. Room was terribly old. This is in contrast to our last stay in august. A deluxe room with less price; room was clean and well maintained. If not for the amount charged, we would have left after one night

This hotel is in good location, a walking distance from the main street in town (down town), where there are restaurants (e.g. Mary Brown), coffee shops, tour companies, local retail stores, Indian restaurants and so on. It is also close to a nice garden in downtown. Their breakfast if very good with variety of continental/Western food and also local […] and Asian food. The service is just O.K. Century Pines was a great choice of accommodation for Tanah Rata. Being a higher end hotel, it lacked the soul, character and friendliness of some of the cheaper accommodation but I was happy to sacrifice that for the comfy bed, lovely private shower, complimentary slippers, TV, and tea making facilities. It is in a very grand building too with a great […] buffet breakfast included - very good value considering. Was very pleased with the hotel. It has a fantastic location, you reach Cameron Highlands and can just walk to the hotel which I thought was great. Next to the main bazaar and eateries, at the same time secluded and noise free, as the hotel is located bit off the road. We booked the Deluxe room with King Bed. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with a separate […] shower cubicle in the bathroom besides the bath tub. Loved it. Well kept furniture and beds, the view from the balcony is great too. Just a few things that were a small bother to us - the room has no AC (its a hill station, so there's no need for one) and has a ventilator sort of thing which wasn't functioning well and sometimes gives u a feeling on being stuffy at night. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water, so u have to make sure u stock up each time you go out. But besides these, the hotel room as such was fantastic and provides for a very nice and comfortable stay. Lees meer

ジョージタウンやバツフェリンギへのアクセスは便利、値段もリーズナブル。朝食もバイキングで良質。近辺にはレストランが２軒しかなかったのが残念ですが、プールなどもあり、ゆったり時間があれば快適なリゾート型ホテルです。

近くに眺めのよい公園があること、部屋のBEDがとても大きくて、3人は眠れそうな感じでした。 ただ、洗面所の蟻が気になりましたけれど、無害ですので安心です。 バスタブ付きが癒されますね。

Das Hotel hat ganz sicher die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Die Bettwäsche war voller gelber Flecken. Nach Besichtigung des 3. Zimmers und Ankündigung das Hotel zu wechseln, war saubere Wäsche vorhanden. Das Bad entspricht keinesfalls dem heutigen Standard und man muss mit Defekten rechnen. Schimmel in der Dusche und ein Duschvorhang vor Dusche und WC […] sind dort selbstverständlich. Widerwillig sind wir geblieben, würden dort aber sicher keine Nacht mehr verbringen. Alles in allem ein herunter gekommenes Hotel. Die Bilder im Internet entsprechen nicht der Realität. Wir gehören nicht zu den ständig meckernden Touris und nehmen auch nicht perfekte Zustände gerne in Kauf. DAS war aber zuviel. Lees meer

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer roch muffig/nass. Auf unsere Beschwerde und den Wunsch das Zimmer zu wechseln wurde zögerlich reagiert. Mehrere Zimmer, die genau so nass rochen wurden uns angeboten, bei einem das am wenigsten miefte blieben wir dann. Das Bad hat keine Lüftung, das Wetter in den Cameron Highlands ist kühl/feucht so dass […] die Nässe ins Zimmer kriecht und bei wenig Lüftung müffelt es dann. DAs Personal war wenig hilfreich oder motiviert. Frühstücksbuffet: schmutzige Teller, künstliche Marmelade, schimmliger Toast, einfach eklig. Am 2. Tag gab es kein Buffet, da zu wenig Gäste da waren und man durfte nur sehr wenig von der Karte aussuchen. Tipp: nicht in Tanah Rata übernachten sonder nur die Teeplantage anschauen und weiterfahren. Hotelli sijaitsee rauhallisella paikalla Tanah Ratassa. Hotellilta oli lyhyt kävelymatka Tanah Ratan muiden palveluiden pariin. Hotellin aamiainen, vaikkakin oli tungosta asiakasmäärän suhteen, oli laadultaan hyvä.

Hotel très bien placé à la sortie de la ville. Chambre très vaste mais à la décoration vieillissante. Chambre propre mais parties communes, et en particulier la moquette des couloirs, très sales. Petit déjeuner correct sans plus. Grand parking gratuit.

We Spent three nights at this hotel and We Were Certainly very satisfied with o choice of accommodation. Beside the great location and very competitive room rates, We Were Also MOST impressed with the willingess of the hotel staff to go the extra mile to Meet Our special needs. Highly recommended!
