"July 4th Weekend"
New hotel, clean, well laid out and super friendly service. I was there for the 4th of July and had no problem w/ parking. Quick and easy walk to the beach, very close to Sea Turtle Center and Bird Center. Far enough North that you aren't in the heavier island traffic.

Really cold AC. The rooms are large with nice balconies. There was a bad smell coming from our bathroom sink, we made several calls but could not reach a live person nor could we leave a message. If your stay is on a Sat., good luck finding parking. There was a wedding in the ballroom so there was no parking for hotel guest. We had to park across the […] street on a sandy lot. My family and I had a small vacation in South Padre Island and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. Upon arrival, we were sent to a handicapped room. After trying to give my daughter a bath and not being very successful, I asked in the lobby if there were any rooms with tubs since it's kind of difficult bathing a toddler in a shower. I was told that according […] to hotels.com I needed a handicapped accessible room. I said we did not need such accommodations. Immediately, we were given another room. We had made reservations for a Junior Suite with ocean view and that was exactly what we got, this time. The view was awesome! When the sun was coming out in the morning, it was spectacular waking up with the view of the water. Also, I bought the option of breakfast included in the price. The breakfast was great. Omelettes are even cooked right in front of you. The only thing that you need to make sure you do is get the breakfast coupons upon checking in. The first morning, the waiter asked for the breakfast coupon, I told him that I did not have any coupons but breakfast was included with my stay. He made a face and said he would go ask. Sure enough, he came back all smiles saying that all was taken care of and even offered to-go cups. The second day, my husband and I had to eat seperate because my daughter got sick and one had to stay with her in the room while the other ate. The waitress asked him for the coupon, and he says she made a face as if he was trying to eat for free. He told her to go check with the lobby people. She went and came back with a message that we were going to be locked out of our room since we charged room service and did not leave credit card information when we checked in. When I went down for breakfast, I went to see what in the world was going on with us being locked out. I was not given any explanation. I was simply told I owed for room service and was given an itemized bill. One of the charges was not even ours, it was a kid's breakfast charge. Lees meer

Great service and clean, the breakfast buffet was really good but if you miss it you can always eat breakfast at Yummies Bistro which is also Amazing and close by. Their room service was quick and great quality. The only complaint that i had was the morning of departure, the sink water smelled of sewer so I made the front desk aware of this as I checked […] out and they apologized. We had a really good time at this Hotel. The only thing that really bothered us was that there were 4 of us in the room & they kept giving us only 3 towels. Aside from that, the entire trip was great & the hotel helped us book a fantastic jet-ski tour & had a great beach front location that our kids enjoyed. luv'd everything but the restroom!!! for the amount pd i was expecting a very clean suite!! The restroom plumbing smelled very bad! The shower drainage was not working properly and the toilet was not flushing!!

This was a relaxing stay. Hotel is well situated away from the busy section of South Padre Island.
"Hotel of paradise"
I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. I am very pleased with my stay. I asked my girlfriend of 2 yearsto marry me and the hotel surprised us with champain and chocolate covered strawberries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax and get away from all the big city noises.

"Great hotel with a big Pool"
Our stay was great. 10 days. The hotel is located at the remote end of the island. It is great. Sand Dunes and ocean. We just loved it. We are walkers so everyday we would walk 6 miles on the beach. I was sad when it was time to go. But I will be back again in October same hotel. We just love the hotel and location.
Out to one end of town. Staff was not informed about town activities and restaurants. Room was great. Foot washing station we thought was broken but finally on our last day figured out to turn on overhead shower first and then use hand spray.room was very large, new, and clean. I would stay there again anytime.

Very nice clean hotel. I love this smoke free chain. Nice pool with music and small drink bar. Walk directly onto the beach from the pool. Clean and well kept hotel. I took 3 of my kids the week after spring break. Did find a marijuana pipe in my safe, but can't blame the hotel for that. Nice balconies and comfy comfy beds :). The kids loved it

Very positive stay overall, the hotel was amazing in each and every way the only downfall is that this was College Spring Break which they call Texas Week. I would tell discourage anyone from going to SPI that week. The hotel was nice. Loved the hot tub at night looking up at the stars. Early spring breakers came in on Saturday night and were very loud and over the top! Hilton Garden Inn is a new hotel that has been well designed. I think they have thought of everything. We stayed in 403 and had a terrific view of the ocean and pool area. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I was very happy with the new exercise equipment in the gym. The pool was not heated buy they have two nice hot tubs at the edge of the pool. "Hilton Garden Inn - great as expected"
A great hotel on the northern part of SPI. It still has a new hotel feel! Service was excellent, rooms are large and comfortable, the location is peaceful, and the rates are reasonable. I would certainly stay here again.

I arrived Friday night at this motel for some rest and relaxation. It was my first visit to this new motel. First thing I noticed was the parking area was very well illuminated. The parking lot was completely paved with pave bricks, giving it a very refined, elegant look. There was absolutely no trash anywhere on the lot. My room was very large and […] the bed was fabulous. Only problem was that the deadbolt would not catch due to the fact that the deadbolt would not line up with the door strike plate. I guess the door had been hung improperly. I had to rely on the "less secure" door knob to secure the door. I did not report this to the management. The next morning I decided to take a walk on the beach and this motel had a nice boardwalk and stair to allow easy access to the beach. The only problem upon returning is that the outdoor shower used to clean sand from one's feet prior to reentering the motel was broken. The headshower worked, but the handheld shower head did not. Entertainment was nice with a live husband/wife singer due performing to karaoke tracks. It would have been nice if there had been karaoke available to the patrons as this is something i like to do. Very nice room. The pillows were not the most comfortable ,fluffy but sunk flat when used & no extra blankets or pillows in the room. Coffee was Folgers. YUCK. Southerners prefer Community coffee. Long walk from parking to the front entrance & uphill.Noticed trash piled up in recepticles outside one entrance & small pieces in hallways/elevators. Of […] course this could have been from the type of clientel. It was biker weekend. Side elevator was hot, no air con & slow .
