What a great few days we had in this superlative hotel. Staff fantastic, suites wonderful, pool area dazzling, all sitting just a short boardwalk away from the gulf surf! Haven't had a hotel experience like this in years! Can't wait to go back!

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Pool area was suprisingly beautiful. Definitely recommend. Good value also.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels on SPI and this will be our hotel of choice moving forward! You wont be disappointed. The staff here is great. So friendly and accommodating. Bed was uncomfortable, food was great and pool is beautiful. Great specials during this time of year. Visit the dunes at the end of the island, they are incredible! I would stay again.

The staff of this Hilton are excellent. Housekkeping was meticulous. Problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently. A refrigerator was replaced in 15 minutes. The front desk acted as a concierge and enhanced our stay considerably. Would recommend it highly!

Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island is a great hotel. It is right on the beach and across the street from the sea turtle rescue and the birding center. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Happy hour is nice, although the drinks are weak , the free snacks are a bonus. We would definitely stay there again.

The location is great. Right on the beach. The hotel is nice. Only problem is that the beds are too hard and too small. Other than that, it is a nice hotel

Overall it is a nice hotel. but we have the unfortunate experience that a water line was accidentally ruptured and we were with out water for awhile.

make sure u book only what you are going to staythey dont give refunds if u stay less days.

When my wife and I got to our room on the fourth floor on Friday afternoon, I detected a slight musty odor in the room. I decided not to say anything if it wasn't commented on by my wife. On Sunday, a few hours before checking out, we commented to the front desk that our coffee maker was not working. The gentleman at the front desk stated that they […] were going to contact us on Friday but it was too late that they had been having some plumbing issues in that room. Nothing was mentioned to us on Saturday all day or Sunday, until we spoke up. I dont think that that is the right attitude to take concerning a hotel guest. Lees meer

This is the perfect place to stay! The view from our "partial view" room was beautiful! The staff was soo nice! every morning they looked up and greeted us, with "Hello ladies how was your night!" . We love to travel with our two small dogs and this hotel is very pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed the vacation with us as much as we with them. It was much better than leaving them to wonder when we'd return. Thank you Hilton for the great room and the staff that kept our dogs safe when we were out dining! We'll be back!

This was my second time to stay at the hotel in 6 months. The hotel staff was great. I originally booked the two queen beds with partial beach view. After checking in when found some outside light bugs in our room. I spoke with with the front desk, where they informed me they only had a junior suite with full beach view left, which was more than the […] room I paid for. Maintence came to the room to inspect it and then the front desk moved us to the junior suite at no extra cost. They even helped us move rooms and apologized for the inconvience. I Love the staff for being understanding and moving us even though the room they moved us to was the only one left in the hotel and cost more than what we paid. I will definately go back!!!! Our second trip to SPI and our first to Hilton Garden Inn. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend this hotel at SPI! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Suggest the brek buffett. They do play loud music at the pool and […] if you are at the pool for many hours it gets kinda old. One day they didn't start the music until around 2p which gave us a break. Great beach/pool view from room. Good size balcony so you can eat outside or just sit and read. Walk across the boardwalk to the beach. Loved our stay and we will be back! p.s. We had a good time at this hotel, somewhat expensive if you don't pick your dates carefully. Don't like that theres% fee for taking food to your room. Rooms are good, but don't like that the AC is not set up on the top of the wall. Instead it is set up like in Motels where it is on the lower part of the wall, so it hits one bed more than the other. The room was nice and big, but the only down fall was the cleanliness of the bedspread. There were very noticeable stains on the white bedspread. Let's just say I didn't use it at all! I loved that the hotel had beach access.

This hotel does not live up to the usual Hilton quality and so is way overpriced. When we arrived the balcony had still dirt and spills from who knows how many previous guests. It took them two days and three requests to get that cleaned up. Other than that the hotel seems new or renovated but it doesn't look like too much effort is being put on current […] upkeep. Our shower had no drainage. It will probably be a dump in two years. When asking about the gift shop they said they have been trying to start it up for months. The hotel restaurant is pretty much useless. Poor menu and bad quality food. Only the breakfast is good with awesome omelets. The location of the hotel is at the end of the town, so you need to drive everywhere. Fair enough the taxi rates are pretty cheap and quick, however a convenience shuttle from the hotel would be appreciated for sure. This was our first visit to SPI so we weren't sure what to expect. We didn't want to regret our hotel decision so we sucked it up and paid for the Hilton. It was clean and new and the pool was great. Pros: Location to the beach, new and clean, pool area was fantastic, room was comfy and the a/c was perfect! Always had towels for our use in the room and at the pool. Poolside drink/food service turned out to be a real positive! :) Cons: Price! Of course it was high season. No room service after 9:00 pm??? Seriously why order room service in the middle of the day? Sewer smell from the bathroom sink...made it very unpleasant to brush your teeth or get ready in the bathroom. We just closed the drain and only used it when necessary, shouldn't have to do this with the price we paid!!! Thanks SPI for a fun little get away. Probably won't be back anytime soon. Very friendly staff, nice & clean rooms. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Beach access was a plus. Would recommend this place to anyone!

The hotel staff was attentive and we enjoyed our stay. no problems with the hotel.

This hotel was awsome. We had a partial beach view and it was great. Room was very comfortable and had lots of space. Beach access great and the swimming pool very nice. We had a great time at south padre. Would stay at this hotel again.

When checking in if u get room 208 I would change it ASAP the Balcony View Suck!!!

The hotel is very nice, the service is excellent. It is very clean. The only thing we didn't like is that people whose not staying at the hotel can go in and use the pool.

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean, new, courteous staff, great breakfasts! Will stay there again.

Everyone was friendly. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Pool was big, comfortable, and CLEAN!! Room Service was fast. It was an AWESOME Experience!!

I'm recommend it

New hotel, clean, well laid out and super friendly service. I was there for the 4th of July and had no problem w/ parking. Quick and easy walk to the beach, very close to Sea Turtle Center and Bird Center. Far enough North that you aren't in the heavier island traffic.

Really cold AC. The rooms are large with nice balconies. There was a bad smell coming from our bathroom sink, we made several calls but could not reach a live person nor could we leave a message. If your stay is on a Sat., good luck finding parking. There was a wedding in the ballroom so there was no parking for hotel guest. We had to park across the […] street on a sandy lot. My family and I had a small vacation in South Padre Island and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. Upon arrival, we were sent to a handicapped room. After trying to give my daughter a bath and not being very successful, I asked in the lobby if there were any rooms with tubs since it's kind of difficult bathing a toddler in a shower. I was told that according […] to hotels.com I needed a handicapped accessible room. I said we did not need such accommodations. Immediately, we were given another room. We had made reservations for a Junior Suite with ocean view and that was exactly what we got, this time. The view was awesome! When the sun was coming out in the morning, it was spectacular waking up with the view of the water. Also, I bought the option of breakfast included in the price. The breakfast was great. Omelettes are even cooked right in front of you. The only thing that you need to make sure you do is get the breakfast coupons upon checking in. The first morning, the waiter asked for the breakfast coupon, I told him that I did not have any coupons but breakfast was included with my stay. He made a face and said he would go ask. Sure enough, he came back all smiles saying that all was taken care of and even offered to-go cups. The second day, my husband and I had to eat seperate because my daughter got sick and one had to stay with her in the room while the other ate. The waitress asked him for the coupon, and he says she made a face as if he was trying to eat for free. He told her to go check with the lobby people. She went and came back with a message that we were going to be locked out of our room since we charged room service and did not leave credit card information when we checked in. When I went down for breakfast, I went to see what in the world was going on with us being locked out. I was not given any explanation. I was simply told I owed for room service and was given an itemized bill. One of the charges was not even ours, it was a kid's breakfast charge. Lees meer

Great service and clean, the breakfast buffet was really good but if you miss it you can always eat breakfast at Yummies Bistro which is also Amazing and close by. Their room service was quick and great quality. The only complaint that i had was the morning of departure, the sink water smelled of sewer so I made the front desk aware of this as I checked […] out and they apologized. this hotel is spotless. cleaning crew always cleaning. totally enjoyed every minute of our stay. love it, love it .. totally recomend it.

We had a really good time at this Hotel. The only thing that really bothered us was that there were 4 of us in the room & they kept giving us only 3 towels. Aside from that, the entire trip was great & the hotel helped us book a fantastic jet-ski tour & had a great beach front location that our kids enjoyed. We had a nice time. Very family friendly. Clean rooms. Pleasant staff. Overall not a bad place to stay.

luv'd everything but the restroom!!! for the amount pd i was expecting a very clean suite!! The restroom plumbing smelled very bad! The shower drainage was not working properly and the toilet was not flushing!!
