nice hotel, a bit old furnished. good location (near the station and near the city center). breakfast is served in the room, which i find was pretty convenient. overall good experience for decent price!

Nice clean hotel, with comfortable rooms. Nice staff, good breakfast and very convenient location for most sites in Geneva center. Also close to train and tram stations. One negative is that the Wifi provided is very expensive. Also very thin walls so you will hear traffic and your neighbours. That was not a problem for me thought.

This is not a fancy hotel, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and well-located base, then this is for you. If you want your hotel to have a bar and restaurant, then this is not for you, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

There are other hotels in central Geneva that are more modern and stylish but we found the Torhotel comfortable and liked the fact that it is in an old building and the rooms have character. We had one of the ensuite rooms (I think there are some that are not ensuite) and it was a large room compared with some other central Geneva hotels. The hotel […] doesn't have a restaurant so they bring a breakfast tray to your room. This is good if you like croissants, toast, juice and tea/coffee/hot chocolate for breakfast but less good if you're lusting after a full breakfast buffet. Tastefully renovated old building; rooms have hardwood floors and modern furniture. Breakfast served on a tray every morning. I enjoyed my stay and will book it again when available.

Can considered it. The person-in-charge at the reception is very friendly, help you whenever you ask for her assistance. But the staff who sent us breakfasts sent them with foul face.

We were in Geneva for 3 nights and this hotel is very close to the main railway station, clean and has a great breakfast served in your room. 12oclock check out is also good, and they let you leave bags at reception if you aren't leaving Geneva till later. Highly recommend.

Most convenient for the railway station (& therefore airport). Ideal location for exploring old town & for travel. Staff friendly and obliging.

wow - i know Geneva was pricey, but this was worth it! don;t let the small lift, dingy entrance and 3rd floor reception put your off. we felt welcome at reception, which was nicely decorated. the place feels like an apartment-hotel. the rooms are like studio apartments. lovely wooden floors, high ceilings, arty photos of the lake, period features. better […] than a faceless chain hotel! and breakfast served to you in room! great breakfast too. very helpful staff to a man/woman. superb location for lake, city and station. quiet road too. Very Central,easy walk to Station ,Lake,and Old town.Were given a free travel pass, for buses ,trams,and boats .Strongly recommend you take advantage of same,especially the water taxi,either across the lake or to the Botanic Gardens.Geneva is expensive,but supermarket is close,(10 minutes walk),and picnics are a delight in the wonderful parks of Ge […] neva. Geneva was an okay city. I would recommend staying at another Swiss city that is nicer and cheaper. Can access Geneva through trains. After 1 day, ran out of things to do. Hotel was not up to par for the price. US equivalent to Motel 8.

Das Tor Hotel entspricht vielleicht nicht den ueblichen Vorstellungen eines Hotels - kein typischer Hoteleingang oder -empfang, de facto Altbauwohnungen umgebaut in schlichte aber hoechst zweckmaessige Hotelzimmer, Zimmer am Fruehstueck mangels Fruehstueckraumes - ist aber extrem praktisch gelegen, ruhig und von einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis. […] Genfer See und Bahnhof (von dem fast alle Busse, Strassenbahnen und der Flughafenzug weggehen) sind jeweils max. 5 min Fussweg entfernt. Upon arrival I was told that the wi-fi system was working and given an access code. When I couldn't access the internet, they confessed that the router was out and wouldn't be repaired during the day. Since I need internet access, I had to pay for my room and leave in search for another hotel.

Отель расположен недалеко от женевского озера, вокзала. Персонал вежливый. Удобная услуга - завтрак в номер. Но, ванная комната очень мала.

Nao recomendo apesar a otima localizacao, o staff com hiper ma vontade, o carro tem de ficar na rua, a internet sem fio nao funciona direito, a recepcao nao eh 24 horas... Por estes valores pro uraria um mercury ou um adagIo da proxima vez.

Cet hotel n'est pas du tout de 3 etoiles, c'est plutot un hostel sans reception et avec l'equipment minime. La sale d'eau est si petite qu' on ne peut pas se pencher pour utiliser le levabo à cause de l'espace miniscule le separant du mur. Les cloisons etre les chambresne sont pas du tout insonorisées. Le petit dejeuner est servi dans la chambre à cause […] de manque de la salle de dejeuner. De dire que ce petit dejeuner est "complet" est un mensonge: un croissant, deux petits morceaux de pain, beurre, marmelade, miele et choco à tartiner, caffé, lait. On ne mange pas confortablement parce qu'il n-ya pas assez de place sur une petite tablette (servant comme table!) J'ai occupé une chambre double, je ne sais pas comment deux personnes peuvent manger en meme temps. En plus, on charge plus que le tarifs affichés dans les chambres. Le pire hotel que j'ai jamais occupé. Il ne vaut meme pas une etoile. Lees meer
