DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Phoenix - Gilbert in Gilbert

Very happy experience. Hotel was perfect location, except for a very small pool, which was not important to us. We had a handicap room, which worked out perfect for my situation with a broken leg and a large cast. The handicap shower and room in general was everything I could have wanted and needed. And my husband loved the cookies in the evening.

Lovely staff. Maid service on overload.

I needed to be in that location because it was close to where my grandchildren live and I never expected to find such a comfortable hotel for the price. I was especially impressed by the friendly front desk staff. There were two ladies that I met but I only remember Flora's name. Great hospitality. Stay at front desk did not seem to be very knowledgeable about billing aspects. Maid service was horrible - left mud on the floor, left an empty box of kleenex, did not replace bath mat (so was forced to use a small towel as to not slip on the floor), & changed room temperature settings so when I returned to room it was over 80 degrees. I would stay here again. Our room was not available at time of check in but was offered a refreshment and an appetizer while we waited. Wait was only 30 minutes.

After reading some of the reviews we were skeptical about booking! However...... WOW! Left there with new friends from the hotel staff and a new place every time we will visit Phoenix! Name change confused my GPS. Hotel is great place to stay. Easy access to everywhere. Quiet neighborhood.

Very Pleasant stay. Small enough to feel cozy, large enough to feel the elegance of being pampered. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved the pool, the food was great and the atmosphere was fun! We saw two wedding parties! We would definitely stay again and invite friends.

We spent six nights at the Legado Hotel. Things went well except for a few mishaps. We had reserved a room with a king size bed, but was given a room with two doubles and told there were no rooms with kings available even though that is what we reserved. One day housekeeping didn't show up until 4 pm while we were there. Our room was very nice and had […] comfortable beds. Good air conditioner. Very pretty hotel. No information in the room to tell where things were. (times of pool, business computer, laundry,etc.) We missed breakfast one morning because a sheet listing breakfast times left in our room listed breakfast to last until 10 am and we arrived at 9am and it was over. The hotel staff couldve been a bit more friendly.. They were not rude but at the same time not welcoming. The room was clean. No problems with anything else i did really like their personal coffee maker though :)

the hotel offers a shuttle to the Mesa airport however I phoned directly to the hotel to find out if there was a shuttle at 5 a.m. I was assured thast there was by the hotel staff that answered, however after we turned in our rental car and asked to book the shuttle for the next morning, we were told the shuttle doesn't start till noon. We ended up […] having the hotel book a cab, but the cab came very late, and there was no record kept as to which cab company was booked -- we were very late for our flight buy the time we made it thru check in and security. Quiet stay near shopping and dining but I would not recommend this hotel.

room was great, hotel service needs to be retrained.. left on a friday morning to gilbert arizona, forgot the hour loss. arrived there in 7 hours from los angeles. I was hot, tired and in a cranky mood but i maintained composure.. got to the desk, left my credit card in the atm in los angeles. I booked thru hotel.com, they werent having it.. could not […] accomidate without credit card or money.. what if i didnt have money then what? Bed was not comfortable and the pillows were just as bad. The room seemed empty like they ran out of money before they could fully furnish the place. And especially, do NOT eat at the restaurant for breakfast! It took over an hour to put our order in and get our food. When we finally got food, my husband's food was over cooked and mine was under cooked. […] They tried to fix mine at least but it had taken so long to get it the first time that we were late for the funeral we had come to town for. NICE ROLL IN SHOWER, ROOM HAS SMALL MICRO AND REFER WITH NICE SIZE TV. ROOM SERVICE AND CONVIENIENT RESTAURANT WITH SMALL MENU BUT GOOD FOOD AND FRIENDLY STAFF PLUS PARKING IS CLOSE

Nice Hotel, Great rate, Close to San tan Village. Took in dinner, shopping and a movie. Appriciated the hotels the strict no smoking policy. Room service was resonable. Friendly manager at front desk. We enjoyed the stay.

The hotel is very elegant and the food in in the restaurant was good. We found our room very nice and spacious, king suit. Our bed and pillows comfortable too. We enjoyed our stay. The only 2 negatives I have to say is that our room still smelled of new carpet or paint or something. Secondly the front desk receptionist gave me wrong directions from […] the 202 when I called to get directions. She must not we know north and south directions only right and left. We ended up taking a 30 min. detour dew to faulty directions. The hotel is north of the 202, by the way. No matter if you turn right or left off the freeway. Lees meer

Wonderful hotel. Close to freeways and shopping. Very clean and comfortable beds.

This has to be one of the finest hotels we've stayed in. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with any problem or question you may have and go out of their way to help you. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was also very good value for the money.

Our stay was wonderful! Very clean and quiet. Everything was clean. The staf was helpful and pleasant.

We liked the newness of the property and even though the place was full, parking was never a problem. Rooms are larger than expected , quiet and beds are great. Breakfast buffet ($7.95) was adequate. Would stay there again.

The hotel is fairly new (only a year old) and is a very clean place. However, when I reserved this room, it was stated that the room had, among other items, Pay Per View TV and a Sofa Bed. It had neither. I went to the desk clerk, showed her the confirmation I had from Hotels.com and asked why these things were not in the room. Her answer, after a shrug […] of the shoulders was "I don't know. You reserved through a 3rd Party (Hotels.com) and it seems they can say anything they want." The room got very cold and the air was extremely loud. I would turn the air off then it got very warm in the room. We put our towels over the bar in the bathroom like the sign said if we planned to use them again but the maid always replaced them with new ones. How is that Green like they advertise? From the moment you arrived, the hotel experience was great. The location couldn't be better(next to a shopping mall). I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking to be in this part of Phoenix.

The picture of room on hotel.com not the same, no sofa bed had to pay for a rollaway

Our family of 4 upgraded to a larger room and it was very spacious. We enjoyed our breakfast daily in the little cafe. The hotel is close to a great outdoor mall with many restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: New clean facility with great service. Walking distance from San Tan Mall. Cons: Thin Walls (expect to hear your neighbor) and the pool area is very small. There is a train track near, you will hear very infrequent horn blasts. On our stay we upgraded from a standard king room to a king suite due to hearing tv, conversation, and even snoring […] coming from another room. Standard room had very little sound insulation. wonderful stay, staff very helpful. Loved the fact we could leave the car for the week and had transportation to and from the airport. This was a REAL plus.

I enjoyed my stay. It seems the ecomony has really hit this area. The bar and pool area were dead. The staff was really nice. I would only say they should offer cont breakfest as the rest of the surrounding hotels/motels do.

This hotel only opened last summer. It is very attractive inside and out. It is within walking distance to a large upscale shopping area with plenty of quality stores and restaurants. The pool and deck is small, but they are adding onto it this year. Right now they don't offer any "extras" a complimentary toothbrush or razor if you forgot yours.
