Sunday House Inn and Suites in Fredericksburg

Love the location, but the hotel needs new towels and to freshen up! We were in the deluxe suites and they need help. Nice welcome package. It just needs some facelifting.

Close to shops in town, walking distance close to restarants really convienent.

hotel staff was very accomadating and i would gladly stay there again!

Not a bad place, but definitely older and could use a good updating.

This hotel was a little old but it was in a great location within walking distance on main street to shopping and entertainment. The room we got was a suite with a living room and a bedroom with two queen beds. Very spacious!

We searched for a Pet friendly hotel. This hotel was chosen due to all the great reviews we read online. However, once we arrived and checked in, the hostess claimed they were not a pet friendly hotel and changed our room to accommodate us in a smoking king bed room. We booked a non-smoking room. She claimed they only had 5 pet rooms and all were booked. […] I gave it a 2 as she did accommodate us, but the bed was soft but hard as rocks once you got in it. The pillows were like sleeping on hard rolled up newspapers. The building is old, dated and not worth the money we paid to stay there. We will not be back! Lees meer

The hotel was within walking distance to all the local sites. Very quiet. Only problem was the time it took to check in. Would recommend it to others.

The room was not clean and the toilet did not work. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Definitely not worth the money!!!!

great staff, wonderful continental breakfast, conveniently located to DT Fredericksburg and surrounding area.....HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The room was ok but the bathroom definitely needed updating. The walls looked like there may have been a leak from the upstairs bathroom at one time and they had painted over the mess. The soap wrappers looked as though they had been wet and still used again. The staff was very nice--no complaints there.

Two resuarants and a McDonalds within 100 yards of the Hotel. Walking distance from absolutely everything. Litterally cross Elk St on the west side of the Hotel and you are at the Main Street shops. Very large rooms with sleeper sofas as well. Highly recomend the Suites. You wont find a larger room for the money!

We came here for a spring break getaway...and loved the Sunday house! Spent two days walking and shopping without having to pack up and park....great location. Very clean and wonderful beds. We would come again!

super friendly front desk and staff . huge room,clean bath,great stay and will stay there again.very locateable to downtown.

This hotel is convenient to Fredericksburg's Main Street shops, restaurants, and other activities. Staff is efficient and polite. It's an older facility, however, in need of refurbishment.

Friendly staff. No member of management is checking on the condition of the hotel or breakfast area. No hotel manager has been in room 211 in years . Rm. 211 grossly neglected. Upon arrival coffee stains by coffee maker. Upon checking in asked to sign a form that early check-out will not be reimbursed. Survived by buying Clorax wipes & bug spray. 211 […] shouldn't be rented! Door w/deadbolt doesn't close, curtains don't close all the way unless you put floor lamp in front of them, ants around sink, cobweb behind fridge, carpet stained,walls cracked, need paint & update, baseboards dirty, visitors newspaper ads torn out, no phone book, faucets backwards & hard to turn off, light fixture in bathroom dirty, carpet torn on corners of baseboard, fixdry6 wall, walls stained, chipped paint, cracks everywhere, blanket on bed by window has a "Q" in red marker on it, blanket on bed by bathroom is cut out. Great deal for the location. It is right at the beginning of the main strip of restaurants, museums and shops. Just walk out, turn left, and your downtown stroll begins. The quality of the hotel was so-so, but it was clean enough and what I expected for the price. The suite we stayed in was very nice and roomy. We will choose the suite over the standard room next time we return just because we like the extra comfort. This property is one of our first choices when staying in Fredericksburg.

This is a nice motel, not fancy, just clean and comfortable. Great location to downtown shopping, eating and sightseeing. The continental breakfast is not that big of deal. Lots of frozen waffles, muffins, etc that you microwave. I recommend they discontinue the breakfast and lower the room cost by $10 a night. Otherwise, it is a good stay.

This hotel was convenient to where we wanted to be. They let us park our car in the hotel parrking lot for the day and check in early evening. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. I would stay there again.

I was extremely satisfied with this suite.

Located at the far east end of the "Fredricksburg strip" the location is perfect for parking the car and walking everywhere you want to go. Rooms are older but ours was clean, the beds are not comfortable for anyone liking a softer mattress. We stayed in the deluxe suite, the set up is nice as it separated beds/bathroom from the tv/reading area. The […] tv in this area was small and the remote didn't work; when we called the front desk about it they did not offer to replace/fix it - just advised us to use the controls on the tv ... The complimentary breakfast was the same every morning and very plain but relatively fresh. Lees meer

The hotel was close to everything on main street Fredricksburg. We enjoyed our time there.

Only complaint was the comfort of the bed and room chairs. Could use updates but fully functional and clean. Would consider staying here again. Breakfast is typical for class. Great service though

If your plan is to walk around Fredericksburg and shop and wine taste, this is a great place to stay. Right in the mix of it all but quiet at night.

Very close to town and shopping. The motel is getting old, musty smell, beds leaning, but clean. Service was wonderful, people very nice and helpful

Perfect location! Easy to walk up and down main street from hotel. People were very friendly. First arrival gave personal touch. The bathroom were a little uncleaned and the towels were worned.

We had a great family vacation in Fredericksburg, and staying at the Sunday House was a large part of its success. It is so conveniently located - we walked to musuems, restaurants, shopping! The rooms were large, enough space for our portable crib and then some. The only issue we had is that we did not realize that there were no elevators. The stairs […] were difficult for my mother and for the baby. Next time, we will specify rooms on the 1st floor, but we will definitely be back! Lees meer

Overall : recommended. Seems pricey for what you get.

The Hotel needs a major overhaul. Everything in the room was old and outdated. The bed was horrible to sleep on.
