I booked this bed and breakfast at the last minute when I had to stay in Pisa because of a train strike. I highly recommend it. It's affordable, near shopping and attractions and the service was excellent. The owner does not speak English, but we were able to figure it out. He was extremely friendly and accommodating and the B&B is beautiful.

This very homely B & B is located at the far end of a quiet lane which branches from a lively pedestrian precinct.. Taxis can drive to the corner and guests walk 50 metres to the premises. I Due Borghi is not flash-looking from the outside and is situated on the second floor with no elevator. This may be a negative for some people. We were greeted […] very warmly by the owner who spoke no Englsh but gestures and smiles were adequate. The rooms are not large but are decorated in a true Tuscan style, with exposed overhead beams, "Italian" photos , pictures and ornaments etc. Lots of character. Guests specify what time breakfast is required and the owner will knock on your door at that time and escort you up another floor where breakfast is served in a small room seating about six people. The owner proudly produces a very adequate continental breakfast of coffee, croissants,warm pastries, meats and fruit. The B & B is conveniently situated for exploring the main sights of Pisa and there are good restaurants along the lane and in the pedestrian precinct. We have had a terrible experience at this property. The owner left our belongings on the stairs freely accessible to other guests while he said we can leave them in the room on our last day. He has also decided he was going to throw away our boarding passes for our return flightô which cost us hundreds in fees while he said we should not have left them […] there and it is not his fault. I Due Borghi, Pisa. We have stayed in budget hotels in Barcelona, Rome, Paris and Prague and Due Borghi was easily the worst place we have ever stayed! No reception, just a bell push on the door which the owner would answer....sometimes. We had to tell the proprietor what time we wanted breakfast then wait until he knocked on our door and took us upstairs […] to a very odd room. It was, in fact, his bedroom with a cover and cushions not quite disguising his bed, with a table laid (no plates just a serviette), however the breakfast was very nearly edible!! No wardrobe in our room, narrow, creaky beds, though thankfully quite clean. All in all a weekend to be forgotten and one to chalk up to experience. Stayed here 1 night on arrival in Pisa & 1 night prior to departure. V warm welcome from Benito. I had emailed to ask for a taxi to be arranged to pick us up as we were arriving late night & Benito himself met us for free! Would never have been able to find it otherwise. He also arranged taxi for our early morning flight. V quirky style, don't expect […] matching towels in en suite, but v clean & good breakfast. Tower 10 mins easy walk away, near shops & cafes. This B & B is perfect for a stay in Pisa. The man who runs it is very very friendly and provides a very nice Breakfast, he also makes it for whatever time you ask (when you tell him the night before). Its in a great location (5 mins to the leaning tower and a 10 minute walk from the train station) and the rooms are comfortable. The only problem that […] you may have is that the host doesnt speak english, but he is very accomodating and friendly!!!! We were very happy our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. What a wonderful place to stay in Pisa- great location and a host that looked after us so well. Would stay there again on our return to Pisa

Very comfortable, in a historic house. The owner could easily be the nicest man in Italy. Would go again, just to stay there!

Stayed here for one night with our 2 year old daughter. Arrived late at night and was immediately shown to our room that was clean, comfortable and spacious for such a central B&B. The breakfast next morning was very good with coffee, warm milk, sweets, bread, and fruit. The host knows basically no English, and we do not speek much Italian, however […] communication worked out satisfactory anyways. The B&B has prime location with easy access to all of central Pisa. There was quite some noise from the nearby piazza during the night, but this goes with the location. Note that there are several stairs to come up to the rooms so pack light! Recommended! Lees meer

No elevator, lots of steps. Close to happening area. Host has no English but great charade style of communicating. Delicious breakfast. Cash only in Euros. At night street is busy as take out bar at end of street with no seating, so customers use street to hang out. Host will call taxi to airport. Walking distance to tower of Pisa. This hotel is OK because of the location. Other than that I would not recommend. Very difficult to find if you're driving. If arrive after 10:00 PM the surrounding area is off limits to cars without permission. Otherwise you get a fine of about 135 EU. Almost $196 US Dollars - ouch!!!!!!! If you have to walk, better ask for direction before heading […] out on an adventure, it's hard to find. The owner was not happy when my wife and I arrive around 11:00 PM. The next morning it was very uncomfortable as the owner was a very grumpy old man. I travel allot, on business and take frequent vacation with my wife all over the world, normally I don't like to write or post negative reviews on hotels unless I have to, and this one I just would like to inform any future guess as to what to expect before hand. Lovely place to stay. Benito was an excellent host. Fantastic location and amazing service. We will definetly stay there again.

Benito is a gracious host, but it makes it interesting to communicate since he doesn't speak much English and we don't speak much Italian. Somehow, we made it and survived. The a/c worked very well, the wi-fi did not, and the shower was small, as was the bathroom. But for one night, we would certainly recommend it.

We had a excellent stay at this B&B. The room is basic but very good. The Owner is very helpful and gives you all information you need. Location is excellent within the old city (10 min walk from the train station through the main shopping street. and 10 min walk to the leaning Pisa Tower) Definitely recommended!

Hi I stayed in this B&B for one night. I was travelling to two other cities on a 5 day trip and staying in other B&Bs and hotels. I Due Borghi stood out as the best place during the trip due to: the great personality and attentiveness of the owner, the lavish and beautifully laid out breakfast, the well kept B&B and the lovely old style of the B&B e.g. […] wooden beams on roof. We are a family of four who just returned from a very good vacation in Pisa - Lucca - Rome. I Due Borghi is a very good and original Bed & Breakfast in high standard. This B&B is located very centrally in Pisa: in the side street of the main shopping street running to the north of the city, so both the centre and the cathedral with the tower are on walking distance. The style is not very modern perhaps (and there's no lift), but it's clean. El propietario, Benito, es muy atento y agradable. La ubicación del B&B es muy céntrica, a 15 minutos andando por una calle peatonal de la estación central de Pisa, y a 5 minutos andando de la Torre. Las habitaciones son muy sencillas pero está totálmente equipadas. Solo me queda agradecer a Benito su hospitalidad. Muchas gracias.

Hotel centralissimo ma molte difficoltà: - non portate bagagli pesanti e voluminosi, parcheggio vicino non ce n'è ed è a pagamento (quando lo trovi), inoltre 3 piani di scale a piedi. - pulizia delle camere lascia a desiderare. - sarò stato sfortunato ma il locale sotto il B&B è sempre affollato e c'è casino fino a tarda notte.... - nella colazione […] c'è un pò di attenzione con brioche calde e focaccia ma pochi spazi (sveglia a turno degli ospiti). A double room on 4th floor, in Sept. + Nice location, funny owner, clean. - poor breakfast, toilet located in a limited space. We also met nice couple there. In general - recommendable.

Pedazo de habitación que nos dejó el jefe. La ubicación inmejorable y el trato, exquisito. El desayuno una pasada ,como en casa, fué el mejor de nuestra estancia en italia, nos trató mejor que mi abuela en sus buenos tiempos. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

God atmosfære, super beliggenhed, meget personlig og venlig betjening af hotellets ejer. Er man til små intime steder er dette hotellet.

What a lovely cute place run by a wonderful owner, Benito ! Benito is a very kind old man with happy smells all the time. He makes you feel having a family here. Maison charmante avec un propriétaire très acceuillant ne parlant malheureusement qu'Italien... Nous avions une chambre mansardée pleine de charme. Attention pas de parking au sein de l'hôtel que des parkings payants (cher) aux alentours. ne prend pas la carte bleue paiement donc en liquide

Accueil agréable par le patron, par contre ne prenez pas trop de bagages il y a effectivement beaucoup de marches a monter ( 3 étages!). Par contre, la chambre était très propre, calme et le petit déjeuner était varie . On est a deux pas de la tour de Pise, environ 5 minutes a pied et des autres sites touristiques. In the Heart of the Old Town of Pisa u find this Charming B&B. Easy to find on Google earth, and easy to find in Pisa - if u can read street signs. It is a 20 min walk from Pisa Centrale (railway station), and a 5 min walk from Piazza dei Miracoli (The Leaning Tower, The Dom, The Monumental Churchyard and The Chappel), and the Botanic Garden. Also ideal […] if you are a grown up coupple like us, who need a safe, affordable and central location for the start of a exploration of Central and Northern Tuscany. We stayed here for 8 days, and in this time we managed to explore Pisa, Florence, Lucca, La Spezia (Liguria) and walk the Cinque Terre (Liguria). The other Pisan Heart we had the luck to meet here is the host Benito. A charming, hardworking, gentel and very italian man in all aspects. He made us a nice breakfast every morning, with traditional italian food and a very good coffe. He allso have a genuin interest in your wellbeeing. The Room was nice, rustic, clean and had a good AC. The bath was small for a large man, but with all you need to have a comfortable stay. Outside the B&B you find a good Osteria who serves traditional Tuscan food. The B&B is allso close to all tourist traps in Borgo Stretto (main street in old Pisa), with icebars, caffeterias, and pizzarias. Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla keskustassa, kymmenen minuutin kävelymatkan päässä rautatieasemalta. Tärkeimmille nähtävyyksille kävelee minuuteissa ja ostos- ja ruokapaikkoja riittää lähistöllä. Hotellia pitävä herra ei puhunut käytännössä lainkaan englantia, mutta asiat hoituivat italian alkeilla ja elekielellä. Ihan mukava herra, mutta check-inin aikaan […] puolelta päivin hän oli asioilla ja häntä sai odotella melkein puoli tuntia. Saapui sitten pahoitellen paikalle, ja pahoitteli vielä lisää, kun huonetta ei ollut siivottu. Hän siivosi sen kun lähdimme tutustumaan kaupunkiin. Aamiaiseen kuului (maito)kahvia, makeita leivonnaisia, focaccia-tyyppistä leipää, mehuja, juuston paloja ja suolaista italialaista salamia. Lisäksi sivupöydällä oli tarjolla hedelmiä (jotka tuntuivat joka hotellissa olevan ihme kyllä raakoja) ja vakuumipakattuja leipiä ja keksejä. Aamiaisen sai nauttia rauhassa ennalta sovittuun aikaan ilmeisesti hotellinpitäjän omassa ruokailuhuoneessa. Hotelli on sivukujalla kapeassa talossa. Kerroksia on kai viisi, hissiä ei. Hotellia vastapäätä on Internet-baari ja samalla kadulla myös pizzeria ja toinenkin ravintola. Huone oli pelkistetty, jopa karu, mutta siisti ja viihtyisä. Ilmastointi toimi. Oma WC- ja suikutila oli huoneen yhteydessä. Joka ilta puolenyön aikaan läheisen ravintolan edustalle pamahti haitari-kitara-duo, jonka soitto kuului huoneeseen. Duo soitti taidokkaasti pari kappaletta, keräsi rahat ravintolan asiakkailta ja poistui soitellen paikalta. Huoneeseen kantautui jonkin verran vilkkaan yöelämän ääniä, mutta ei mielestäni häiritsevästi. Kadut rahoittuvat kahden, kolmen aikaan yöllä. Simppeli hotelli hyvällä paikalla, jolta ei kannata odottaa liikoja, mutta tuskin pettyykään. Lees meer

El propietario Benito es un personaje y el trato es super familiar . El Bed & Breakfast esta en excepcional posicion pero ojo al fin de semana para el ruido. Lastima por la falta de ascensor pero se puede aconsejar a todos.

I Due Borghi is a friendly family B&B hotel. The whole house and our room have been an architecture delicacy. Even though the hotel-keeper spoked Italian only, he took care about us very well.

Bra hotell med en rolig gubbe som ensam tar hand om stället. Han kan inte ett ord engelska men det funkar skapligt bra att kommunicera även om man inte kan italienska. Rummen är fina och mysiga men vi hörde ganska mkt ljud utifrån och sängarna har inte samma längd som i Sverige så om man är lång kan det bli lite jobbigt. The location is really good, in the small alley in the middle of the shopping street, only a few hundred meters from the leaning tower. Because of its central location, there was naturally little noise at night time. Room and the bathroom was clean. The staff consisted of one man who was very hospitable, and ensured that all was well. Hadde to fine døgn i Pisa med base på dette stedet. Vi ble tatt godt hånd om av en trivelig italiensk bestefar. Anbefales.

Vi boede på dette B&B én enkelt nat, men kunne sgatens have boet her længere. Værten var en ældre mand, som var fantastisk imødekommende og hjælpsom - man kunne virkelig fornemme at han nød at have gæster omkring sig. Morgenmaden var lækker og værelset var rent og pænt og stort. Jeg vil anbefale dette hyggelige sted til alle.

Dette meget gamle og yderst personlige og charmerende B&B ligger i en lille sidegade til strøget i Pisa (Borgo Stretto)- værten Benito taler ikke engelsk, men det forhindrer ham ikke i at kommunikere med gæsterne på en ganske charmerende måde - et anderledes og meget "hjemligt" sted på en særdeles italiensk måde. Beliggenheden er helt i top med 10 minutters […] gang til Det Skæve Tårn og 15 minutters gang ( i modsat retning) til hovedbanegården, hvorfra man kan tage toget og på 25 minutter være i Lucca- et ideelt sted at besøge, hvis man har en forlænget weekend. gæst fra Danmark, 18/4 2011 Lees meer
