W Austin bevindt zich in het centrum van Austin. dit hotel is een op zaken ingestelde accommodatie in de buurt van Stadhuis van Austin, Geschiedeniscentrum van Austin en Openbare bibliotheek van Austin. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Congrescentrum van Austin en Gouverneurshuis.

W Austin heeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, een healthclub, een buitenzwembad, een fitnesscentrum en een buitenzwembad dat in bepaalde seizoenen geopend is. Snel internet (draadloos) is gratis beschikbaar in de openbare ruimtes. Dit hotel met 4 sterren beschikt over bedrijfsvoorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en audiovisuele apparatuur. Dit hotel (een op zaken ingestelde accommodatie) biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een bar aan het zwembad, een bar/lounge en een snackbar/broodjeszaak. Parkeerruimte is (tegen betaling)beschikbaar, maar beperkt.Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, evenementencatering en hulp bij excursies regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dakterras, meertalig personeel en een wasserij. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

W Austin heeft 251 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van iPod-dockingstations en kluisjes in de kamer (voor laptops). Elke 42-inch flatscreentelevisie wordt geleverd met premiumkanalen via de kabel, oncommand video en films tegen betaling. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een kluisje in de kamer en een telefoon met voicemail. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van internet (draadloos of via de kabel) op de kamer. Alle bedden hebben designer beddengoed. Elke badkamer is voorzien van douches en make-up-/scheerspiegels. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en een haardroger. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een koelkast, een magnetron en massagebehandelingen op de kamer. In W Austin mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.

In eerste instantie was het moeilijk te vinden. Maar het hotel was prima. Netjes en schoon. Ligt aan een paralelweg naar het centrum van Austin waar wij moesten zijn. Wanneer je 1 weg verder paralel neemt kom je precies in downtown uit en heb je niets met het drukke verkeer te doen.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.
Speciale verzoeken kunnen, indien mogelijk, bij het inchecken worden ingewilligd. Hiervoor kunnen extra kosten worden aangerekend. Speciale verzoeken kunnen niet worden gegarandeerd.

"great hotel downtown close to everything"
Hotel was very nice. Great staff and amenities. There were some bachelor and bachelorette parties at the hotel the weekend I was there. Lots of young people partying at pool. I did not have my kids with me, but the environment was not really family friendly. Otherwise, the hotel was great!

A great stay--staff was very helpful and friendly----place was packed and everything ran smooth---good location - as with all W's--I felt like everyone elses father----where do they get all these good looking 20 somethings that can afford to stay in these places---oh well---all in all a great stay

"W Hotel 5 hour wait for check in"
After arriving early at 11 am and travelling the night to get there I was told by the check in that at least 50 people had arrived to check in early and it would be a wait. After waiting 1.5 hours without anyone speaking I went to complain. The staff member was really friendly and apologetic offering to buy us drinks for the inconvenience. It took 5 […] hours to get a room!! The rooms were booked together on the same booking with a reference to be together. I spoke to the call center at Hotels .com about this. The next day we left the room at 10.30 am when we returned at 4.30pm to rest our rooms were only just being serviced. We had to wait for them to be cleaned. This must have been the reason for such a massive delay in getting a room – lack of housekeeping staff! When we were leaving the room and checking we hadn’t left anything behind we found other guest’s clothes and belongings behind the love seat – gross. Staff were friendly and car service was great but would never go back to a hotel where you had to wait 5 hours for check in, rooms are not serviced until early evening and you find other peoples clothes in the room. Ordering a pot of coffee took 50 minutes for delivery. Much better hotels in the same area for same price. Lees meer

Everything about this hotel is great, great, great! Except their insistence on single-ply toilet paper. One could argue that you actually use more!!! "W Austin Hotel - Austin, Texas"
I absolutely loved my 3 day stay at the W Austin Hotel. The service was outstanding. This hotel has a slogan: "Whatever, Whenever." And the management & staff mean it. They perform by this standard 110%. The last time I had this kind of courtesy & friendliness was when I stayed at The Palace Hotel in NY. And I venture to say the W Austin exceeded The […] Palace. Everyone at the W from the valet service, bell men, check-in /reception, room service, to the house keeper's hospitality were exceptional. I was treated like a VIP guest. IE: When I first arrived to Austin I called the W & when I arrived a valet & a reception staff member were out front waiting for me. NOW THAT'S SERVICE! Very comfortable beds, extremely clean rooms, & fantastic food --room service & their restaurants. And to top it off, the pool & cabanas were beautiful. 5+ Star Hotel. We were there for Keller Williams Realty's Mega-Camp and we couldn't have been more comfortable. The service- particularly the concierge, was just fabulous. They did a great job assisting us with dinner reservations and transportation and recommendations for restaurants, etc. Overall, an excellent, however pricey, experience. Valisa

Stayed at the W. Austin the weekend of the UT/BYU game. Even though the Hotel was extremely busy, there was not a single encounter with W. staff that was not outstanding. Everything was outstanding concerning the staff. You need it they will do their best to accomodate. Rooms are just a little too small, but found out they do offer bigger suites. I will be back!

"Upscale place to stay & play"
We booked from San Antonio for a weekend of fun & got just that. The pool with the cabanas and bar attract a great crowd and each hotel guest was allowed a guest to the pool which worked out great. The location of The W was right in the middle of the higher class downtown bars so the crowd was a nice blend of late 20's-30's at everything nearby. The […] room was clean and classy with all of the 'W' ammenities. I will definitely stay here again! *note: we booked for two queen beds however only got a room with a king bed. If you book the 'Wonderful' that says 1-2 beds you are not guaranteed the 2 bed room. The day we went they were fully booked so we ended up using an air mattress. "Terrific hotel, great location"
Stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. The lobby is spectacular and the rooms cozy. Within walking distance of some great restaurants and bars and the river path.

W Austin was a great place to stay for my business travel. I would go back again. The "cozy" rooms offered for single travelers are just that: very cozy, but nicely appointed.
