Ohla Hotel ligt in het centrum van Barcelona, op loopafstand van Palau de la Música Catalana, Kathedraal van Barcelona en Plaça de Catalunya. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Las Ramblas en Arc de Triomf.

Ohla Hotel heeft een healthclub, een buitenzwembad en een sauna. In openbare ruimtes wordt een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) aangeboden. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze accommodatie met 5 sterren zijn onder andere vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een technische helpdesk. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals 2 restaurants plus een koffietentje/café, een bar aan het zwembad en een bar/lounge. Ohla Hotel heeft 74 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van iPod-dockingstations en kluisjes in de kamer (ook geschikt voor laptops). Elke kamer heeft lcd-televisie met kanalen via satelliet. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een kluisje op de kamer en een gratis krant. Een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) is beschikbaar. Alle bedden hebben lakens van Egyptische katoen, een donzen dekbed en luxe beddengoed. Een kussenkeuzemenu is beschikbaar. Elke kamer is voorzien van een minibar met gratis mineraalwater. Elke badkamer heeft een handdouche, kamerjassen, designer toiletartikelen en make-up-/scheerspiegels. Sommige kamers hebben een gedeeltelijk open badkamer.Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere pantoffels en een haardroger. Bij aankomst werden we zeer vriendelijk ontvangen, alles werd uitgelegd, ook de bezienswaardigheden etc. we hadden het appartement op 5e verdieping, alleen te bereiken via (smalle) trap. Eenmaal boven was alles wat je nodig hebt aanwezig, geen bad.. vanaf het (kleine) balkon heb je zicht op de zee, op 100m . Op de zesde verdieping bevind zich het dakterras met 2 wasmachines en drogers en enkele ligbedden. complex ligt in rustige buurt, met bushalte/metrostation op loopafstand,prima om de stad te verkennen!!

Het hotel ligt naast een snelweg en ondanks de dubbele beglazing heb hoor je het wel. In ieder geval aan de snelwegzijde van het hotel kan je niet naar buiten kijken. Gordijnen kunnen niet echt open. Kamer was netjes en schoon. Elke dag werden de handdoeken verschoond en het bed opgemaakt. Receptie was vriendelijk. Ontbijt en diner is dit niet echt een locatie voor. Het hotel heeft een eigen restaurant, maar je kan eten bij het restaurant wat aan het gebouw vast zit. Heb hier geen hoge verwachtingen van het is een soort van truckers-maaltijden restaurant. Voor één nacht is het goed te doen. Ik was met de trein. Het is zo'n 15 min lopen vanaf het station. Goed te doen als je fit bent. De route naar het hotel moet je even leren kennen.

metro station dicht bij, maar met ze 4e een taxi even duur als de metro. de kamer en badkamer waren schoon en strak ingericht. ontbijt was goed. we komen zeker terug.

"Walking Distance to Everything!!!"
Other than them taking a while to get our room ready at check-in, it was an excellent stay. The free breakfast each morning was amazing!!!
"Convenient and elegant"
The hotel is well situated in old Barcelona. The taxi fare from the airport was around 38 euros for 2 people and luggage. It is a fairly new hotel and the condition of the room was top notch. We stayed in a junior suite which was quite roomy by European standards and had a separate tub and shower. After a long day of sightseeing, the room was a comfortable […] place to unwind and get ready for the next day. One thing that is worth noting is that the HVAC/climate control was very quiet and comfortable. It was never too cold or too warm in the room. The bed was comfortable and the towels were fluffy and soft. The breakfast that was included with the room was filling. You get a choice of 1 hot dish (eggs with bacon, pancakes, or hamburger) with unlimited croissants, breads, cheeses, sliced coldcuts, fruit, juice and coffee. The staff was very helpful. Albert ,the concierge, arranged reservations at a few restaurants for us. We chose to dine at Sauc, the hotel's restaurant with 1 Michelin star. It's a cozy place that only has about 10 tables. We ordered from the "tasting menu" and were expecting to be hungry at the end, but the portions for the main course were generous and we were not able to finish every single morsel of that delicious dinner. Another concierge showed how to get a taxi quickly. On our departure, they arranged a taxi for us to the airport and the fee was approximately the same as the arrival. "Within walking distance - nice neighborhood"
I only had 48 hours to spend in Barcelona. The Ohla Hotel made it possible to enjoy every minute. Well situated in old Barcelona, it was quick walk to La Rambla and all the sights in between. We arrived early and just expected to drop off our luggage and check in later, but they gave upgraded us from a design room to a junior suite. The concierge service […] was personalized. Albert, the head concierge made dining reservations for us at Can Majo, Sauc and El Nou Ramonet as well as summon a cab for us when we left. Our junior suite was spacious by european standards. The wifi worked well. The ipod dock meant that i could keep my charger cables packed away. As mentioned before, there aren't any doors to the bathroom area except for the toilet. The room has some neat design inspirations and lighting. The climate control system works well. The room was never too hot or too cold. The bed was firm and comfortable for us. Although it rained on our last evening, the pool area and lounge on the 8th floor was a nice place to hang out. There is a phone that can be used to call for drinks from the bar. An attendant came up within a few minutes while we were up there to check on us and to let us know how things worked. Dining at Sauc was an experience. They modified the tasting menu for us. The portions for the tasting menu were generous. I actually got full by the main course entrees. Service was a little slow towards the end. The breakfast buffet is a treat from all the croissants, cheeses, fruits, cold cuts. They give you one hot dish per person, which was a choice between eggs and bacon, pancakes/waffles or a hamburger with cheese and bacon, which was very good :) It was almost 40 euros to take a cab from the airport to this hotel. Everything about this hotel was fab. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Barcelona as everything about it was class.
"Not a 5 star hotel"
This is certainly not a 5-star hotel. The lobby is tiny and the reservation desk is in a miniscule alcove on the mezzanine floor. The room we had was real small with a non-existent view. We basically looked over the rooftops of surrounding buildings. A view room was available but they wanted to charge us 90 Euros a day more. Breakfast was OK - nothing […] to write home about. We had just come from a stay at the W which offered a terrific breakfast in comparison. The location is excellent. It is very close to the Barcelona Cathedral and abuts the Gothic district. It is an easy walk to many major sights, including the Spanish Arc de Triomphe. The finest bakery in Barcelona, Hoffmans, in the Born Plaza has croissants to die for and is a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The subway is across the front door and the main Gaudi house is 10-15 minutes walking distance. Unbeatable location. If you intend to spend any time in the hotel to relax, it is just too tiny for that. When we left, the hotel either made an error or tried to gyp us by charging us for an upgraded room that we never took. Seems like they were presenting us with someone else's bill. Left a bad taste in the mouth. Overall, it should be a 3-1/2 stars hotel and does not qualify as a 5-star property Lees meer

Excellent hotel very well situated in the center of the city. Truly a 5 star hotel and location Don't miss out on the michelin star restaurant called "sauc" in the hotel . For a gourmet restaurant its really good value for money
"A few quirks, but a great place to stay"
Location and staff - if those are good then you'll be forgiven almost anything. Not that the Ohla needs to be forgiven much. We had a good deal on a Junior Suite and were delighted to find it so quickly after getting off the airport bus. Smooth check in - and those reviewers thinking the mezzanine check-in is odd should try standing in the lobby in […] February. Hats off to the concierge staff for at least trying to look warm! Great breakfast (as previously reviewed) - there is a Starbucks directly opposite if you need an initial caffeine kick and don't have the same package. Lovely looking room with plenty of space, very good toiletries, linen and towels. Slightly firm bed, but not a big issue. Cheerful and efficient cleaning / turn down. All in all, very close to 5 star rating, but there are a couple of minor eccentricities that pull it down. The single sink was plugless (as far as we could see) and there was soap but no soaptray provided. Odd. Kettle, cups and tea provided, but no coffee. Unless you asked for a machine at extra cost. I'm guessing instant coffee would have been provided had we asked, but we usually travel with a small supply anyway. We were 2nd floor, front. There is some underground noise 7am-11pm ish that was only mildly disturbing, traffic/street noise was minimal. We didn't like the fact that the window was subjected to spotlights outside, without extra blackout curtains - standard ones really didn't work. These lights are turned off in the early hours so that it isn't an issue all night but light sensitive souls should bring along eye shades just in case. Too cold to use to roof/pool other than a brief photo trip, but it did look great for warmer days. Would wholeheartedly recommend the Ohla for a first visit to Barcelona and will certainly check it out next time we visit. Lees meer

My partner and I booked a junior suite and requested an early checkin. The room was ready and waiting. Our package included breakfast and we were not disappointed. This hotel was beautiful- it was in a convenient location and was easy to get to most places from there. The lobby, retaurant and rooms are beautiful and immaculate. All of the people were warm and friendly and went out of their way to provide great service. Two minor issues to be aware of: one is the bathroom arrangement. Some rooms have glass enclosed […] showers in the middle of the room with no privacy. Others have a more private shower area, but generally only toilets are behind a closed door. We just found this odd. The other is that the room was very spacious with ample closet space for hanging, but no drawer space for folded stuff. "Hotel Ohla Barcelona Perfect spot for touring"
Hotel Ohla provided everything my boyfriend and i needed for our weeks stay. The location was ideal for walking and catching the metro, the staff was very accomodating with information and concierge services, and the rooms were spacious and comfy. Great tapas in the small restaurant too!
The Ohla is a fantastic hotel! The staff was polite, helpful, professional, courteous and went above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The hotel restaurant and bar were both very good and the room was hip and cool looking as well. The hotel room was also very quiet! The hotel is conveniently located. We would definitely stay here again.

The Junior Suites have an open shower and tub but they're behind a wall so are not as exposed as in some of the other room types. Great location, beautiful rooftop pool and lounge, very nice breakfast and central location. beds are super comfortable.

The city is wonderful but, the hotel staff made sure we visited wonderful places and recommended superb dining experiences.
Everything about the Ohla was wonderful. Rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable, the breakfasts were outstanding and the location could not be beat. The hotel staff was professional and very helpful and helped us whenever we needed it. Wonderful rooftop bar/pool area. Always clean, plenty of towels and excellent staff at the bar.

"Not all that impressed"
First of all the hotel itself was wonderfully located. However, I didn't understand why the shower was in the middle of the room no frosted glass. I was there with my mother so you can imagine the situation? We had an issue working the shower and asked repeatedly to have someone come to the room and show us. "Perfect Hotel"
We recently vacationed in Barcelona at the Ohla Hotel at the end of July and truly enjoyed our stay. We booked the Design Deluxe room, and were given a room on the 1st floor which was not optimal due to the noise from the metro and the noise from the street. I immediately asked reception if they could switch the room, but was told they were completely […] sold out. But after being awoken the next morning at 8am from the noise I called reception and they were extremely accommodating moving us to the 6th floor and even let us look at the room to make sure we were happy before making the change. The hotel is in a great location in the Barri Gotic neighborhood with an extremely friendly staff. The decor is modern and clean with a fantastic roof top deck with incredible views. I would definitely stay at the Ohla Hotel on my next visit to Barcelona! Lees meer

Ohla Hotel is located in downtown Barcelona. The hotel is conveniently located within reasonable walking distance to Barcelona metro transportation including subway stops. The neighborhood is good, and we were never concerned with late night walks in the area. Hotel rooms are of good size, and room had an interesting shower in the middle of the room, […] with glass walls (leaving nothing to the imagination :-). Hotel had a roof bar with a great view of Barcelona and a infinity lap pool, and downstairs there was an excellent bar/restaurant specializing in tapas. We loved our stay @ Ohla ! It was not our first time in Barcelona- Ohla is located just in the center of the gothic area. All is in walking distance; attractions, shopping and great food! We will come back !

Great stay. Ultra modern style hotel in really good location of Barcelona. Room was great and everything in order. One funny thing though: The shower is like a glass box smack in the middle of the room. Its like showering with an audience. No privacy whatsoever in the shower. Hotel di Design, bella, chic ma molto accogliente. Staff veramente a disposizione per qualsiasi richiesta. Colazione super in un ambiente piacevole. Location comodo per tutto.

Bra hotell som ligger "mitt i smeten". Rummen är små men bekväma. Knappt någon plats att röra sig på i rummet så jag kan tänka mig att det blir bra besvärligt om man är mer än en. Hotellpresonalen kändes som om de "bara jobbade där" inte mycket engagemang, speciellt inte i restaurangen. Dock en fantastisk concierge som tog väl hand om oss. Men bara […] en man som behärskade engelska ordentligt, de andra förstod nästan ingenting när man försökte prata med dem - svagt. Jag hade trasigt avlopp i duschen på mitt rum så att avloppslukten steg upp ur avloppet. Inte så fräscht när duschen är centralt placerad i rummet. Personalen hävdade att de skulle fixa problemet men hällde nog bara Amoniak i avloppet - gnällig? jag? tja, kanske... Skulle jag åka tillbaka till just detta hotell - ja, kanske. Det kändes inte som om vi fick valuta för våra pengar, men å andra sidan så kanske hotellen i Barcelona inte är bättre än såhär. Det var 15 år sedan jag var i Barcelona senast så jag har inte mycket att jämföra med. Det kändes som om hotellet försökte vara fem stjärnor men inte riktigt hade lyckats hitta rätt personal. "Veldig sentralt og flott hotell!"
Jeg og min samboer var på weekendtur for 2 uker siden. Flott og sentarlt beliggende hotell med fine rom og god service. Funky og moderne med dusjløsning åpent midt i rommet. For oss som kjærester var det greit men kan kanskje være litt verre dersom man reiser sammen med mor eller far :-) Eneste minus var anbefaling vi fikk på restaurant å dra til. Vi […] ønsket seafood men havnet på en som serverte kun kjøtt og ikke hvitvin......og da mener jeg kjøtt....kun det på tallerken. Hotel très confortable et surtout très bien situé, ce qui permet de se balader la journée et de pouvoir faire un arrêt rapide à notre chambre si besoin. Pdj très agréable! Le personnel à été très gentil! Nous avons apprécié la bouteille offerte dans notre chambre (nous venions de nous marier). Vu le temps nous n avons pas profite de la piscine! Suite […] aux divers échos,je pense effectivement qu en plein soleil ou aux grandes influences, la terrasse et la piscine doivent être un peu juste! Il faut plus le prendre comme un bonus... ! Väldigt bra hotell, nära till allt. Servicen och personalen får toppen betyg. Jag hade spanat in andra hotell på nätet innan jag gjorde mitt val. Hotell Ohla uppfyllde alla mina krav.

"Snyggt hotell utan själ"
Vi bodde fem nätter på Ohla i juli 2011. Vi hade en grym semester och är nöjda med hotellet (speciellt takpoolen) men hade förväntat oss ännu mer med tanke på vad vi betalade. Hotellet är verkligen snyggt inrett men av någon anledning har man glömt bort att folk ska bo där. Några exempel: - Det finns två hissar på de åtta våningarna men de är inte […] sammankopplade. Man var tvungen att trycka på "hit"-knappen på båda hissarna för att få en hiss snabbt. Ofta fick man två hissar. - Belysningen på rummet var snyggt men helt opraktiskt. Antingen var det för mycket ljus eller för lite. Belysningen vid badrumsspegeln bestod av en sån här spegelförstoringslampa, inget mer. - Det fanns inget strykjärn (dock kunde man beställa upp ett till rummet) - Duschen var mitt i rummet, inglasad. Vattnet rann ut ungefär en halvmeter genom en springa under dörren. Det var ingen fara för vattenskada (golvet var vattentätt) men det blev väldigt blött om man inte svabbade. "Ohla hotel Barcelona"
Utomordentligt läge i city. Mycket trevlig personal. Väl fungerande takterass, trevliga barer och restauranger.

Espectacular la ubicación del hotel, no dejan de subir a la terraza y tomar algo por la noche. Todo muy lindo, muy recomendable.
