Campanile Glasgow Airport in Glasgow

Staff very pleasant on arrival even at 10pm. Hotel looks and feels like new. Room was spacious, fresh and comfortable. Shower even had a seat built in for those less able to stand. Very well thought out. Will stay again

The first thing that went wrong is that hotels.com put the wrong telephone number for the hotel on the booking. The hotel is new and nowhere near the airport and it's unlikely your navigator will pick up the postcode unless it's brand new. You have to put in the postcode for Ikea. Also because of M8 roadworks (as at April 2012) you have to follow signs […] to Renfrew on local road because you can't get on the motorway at the moment! The staff were absolutely wonderful, I can't fault the hotel, the restaurant, the cleanliness, facilities, price or the breakfast. But the name was misleading and ultimately I wanted to stay at the airport. Lees meer

hotel is OK

They were celebrating their one year anniversary that day. So all staff on ceremony cos the boss was around however I have stayed previously and they are always friendly. Good sized room. For a cheap hotel it is hair dryer, good shower and gel. The rooms have more soul than other ones in this class. So it rates more as 3 star than 2. This hotel gave me everything I needed for the weekend. I was attending an event at the near behind Braehead Arena. I arrived on the day I was due to check-in at 11:30 expecting to leave my bag and check-in later, but to my surprise I was able to check-in there and then. The room was very spacious and also had an excellent bathroom. It only had a […] shower, but having a seat in it more than made up for it. I had one excellent experience of this and was made up by it. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff catered to every need I had. My booking came with continental breakfast and this is more than sufficient! And on the day I checked out I was able to leave my bag behind and pick it up later, which really helped me out. I checked into the Campanile expecting your run of the mill budget airport hotel, but got so much more than I expected. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and quiet and the bed was even quite cozy. The hotel runs on a "green" moto, so the soaps and shampoos were all natural and there were suggestions on how to keep them running green (i.e. reuse […] towels, shut water off, etc). My only complaint if you can call it that is that both hotels.com and the hotel charged my account. When I asked the hotel staff, they assured me this wasn't possible and sent me on my way. After checking my bank account, I went back to verify again that I had been charged twice. The lady at the front desk took my name and number, said she would speak to her manager and call me. Long story short, turns out I was charged twice and Campanile credited my bank account. No harm, no foul. All in all, I'll be going back when I need a cozy, clean place to stay. Lees meer

Very basic design but lovely staff the only thing can moan about is the fact that the shower drainage is not very good which caused the shower floor to overflow but the staff brought up some extra towels as we had to use ones provided to dry floor

Difficult to find on TomTom. Pass the hotel on your left and take the first turn at the roundabout, to cut back on yourself. Modern hotel, with top quality furnishing in the room. Very good overall

Excellent value for money, staff friendly and helpful

Was a bit suspicious as it was very well priced for a 2 night stay, which also included breakfast. Was very impressed with the reception staff, room and the quality of breakfast. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Right opposite Ikea. comfortable and very affordable with restaurant on site and Sainsbury opposite too. As good as any premier inn.

good value clean hotel

Unfortunately there was only one pillow on each of the twin beds,which made the beds uncomfortable.The TV in the room was very very small and it was a strain to watch.Also even though they say the hotel is pet friendly and i had agreed a price before staying they asked me for an extra £5.Had i known when booking i would have gone somewhere else.

Room 208 was generaly satisfactory bit a little dusty on surfaces. Lack of pillows ~ reuested 2 extra receptionist said she could only find one which did not have a pillowslip. Only on my sugestion did she look in an empty room to give us pillows as requested. Otherwise a satisfactory stay.

Very good value for money. Convenient really only if you're driving as it's a bit out of the way. As it's a newish building it's very clean and in good condition. I've stayed here several times and rooms are always very clean and comfortable.

all in all a pleasent stay and very close to braehead shopping centre,but when booking it would have helped to have known that this hotel used to be known as the purple hotel as we had difficulty getting to it as taxi drivers had not all heard of the changed name

The convenient location of this hotel is a great asset. It is particularly convenient if you have a hire car that is to be dropped off at the airport as there are fuel outlets close by as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and the room very comfortable.

the hotel was spotless staff friendly and the bar prices very reasonable would recomend.

There is no free shuttle service even though the web site advertises it. The directions to this hotel are easily confused with directions to the other Campanile hotel in the city.

I found this hotel online based on previous reviews. The staff was nice and friendly and very helpful, the room was nice albeit quite basic. The facilities were clean and seemed new and modern. hotel close to braehead very convenient overall very good stay

Lovely comfy bed in a decent sized room - modern, fresh and clean. Close to nearby shopping centre and Glasgow airport - and not very far from the main city centre either. Perfect for business and before a flight.

Very good hotel for it's class. Ability to eat an evening meal on site is an added bonus

It is listed as Campanile Glasgow Airport hotel and is quite a distance from the airport. It is also in an out of the way industrial shopping estate and not easily found. Even Tom Tom could not find it and I had to go to the Glasgow Police Airport Police Station to ask directions to it and they had to phone the Hotel to find where it was. The hotel […] staff, reception, bar and restaurant seemed to have little training or experience in the work they were doing. Breakfast was poorly offered and in a different way each morning and the one evening meal we had there was probably one of the worst meals we have ever had so we question the quality of the chefs there. The rooms were good and cleaned properly each day but other than that there is nothing we would recommend about this hotel. Lees meer

This hotel was excellent apart from one thing... I booked a twin room, for a friend and I, but the ''twin'' was achieved by pulling out a single mattress presumably from beneath the double-and m y friend had to sleep on that. I booked a ''twin'' not a family room- and whilst this floor mattress would have been fine for a child-it is far from fine, for […] ladies of a certain age . It was extremely difficult for either of us to get down to that level- and once down there, it was even more difficult to get back up again-as athritis denies one the leverage that a younger person has. A twin, should mean that both occupants has accesss to a bed at an acceptable level-and it may not sound much to able bodied people- but this one fact stopped me from clasing this hotel as excellent throughout. The Campanile Hotel is not near the airport, nor do they offer a shuttle service to or from the airport. As it is in a suburban setting isolated from most services I guess it has to use tricks like putting airport in its name, to ensure it gets customers. If you do not have your own transport then you have to use taxis to get to and from the hotel.

The Campanile Glasgow Airport hotel was a pleasant surprise for me. When I walked in the doors I was greeted by a very pleasant front desk clerk who was very helpful in getting me situated with my room, arranging a taxi service for me in the morning, allowing me to print out my flight and car rental bookings, and since the kitchen was closed was even […] helpful in giving me late night delivery services. Then when I got to my room, I was very impressed with how clean everything was, the bed was comfortable and the internet was fast. After spending a year in various hotels this was one of the nicer ones I have stayed at, too bad it was only one night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, although to be honest I cannot tell you how close it was to the city center, it was convient for me to the airport. A great place to stay! Lees meer

We enjoyed our stay at the Campanile Glasgow, and found it very good value for money. There1 night stay and 8 nights parking with free airport transfers looked excellent value for money although we didn't try this. I did not enjoy the breafast, I think it had been reheated as the bacon and sausages were very tough. The coffee was awful and the bar prices […] expensive. We stayed one night here after flying into Glasgow airport. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. A very enjoyable night and nice breakfast the next morning too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn't want to stay in the middle of the city.

This is a modern, clean, comfortable, efficient hotel, convenient for Glasgow Airport (if you have a car). Despite its modernity it has an appealing character all of its own. There is plenty of parking.

Hi, We just stayed at this hotel for one night prior to flying out of Glasgow airport. The room itself was clean, however, the bathroom had an interesting odour. Ok for one night but wouldn't stay any longer.

Though this is billed as an "airport" hotel, it is quite a long way from the airport. If you are hiring a car it is fine (and there's an Ikea next door!) but if you need to hire a taxi to get there and then into Glasgow the next morning (as I did coming in on a late flight and setting off to catch a connection before their shuttle started) you'd be […] better off taking the airport bus into town and paying a bit more for your hotel. Very friendly staff. Hard to locate hotel probably b/c it was so new. Not enough staff upon checking in. We called for directions and they did not answer the phone. When we were checking in, we waited 15 minutes while one of the two counter people gave directions to someone over the phone. Waiter in restaurant was incredibly nice and funny and hard […] working, even though very understaffed. Room was clean and spacious. Shower water pressure was weak, that was the only knock on the room. Only one channel on the TV, but they said that was b/c they were switching to digital in Scotland that day. Good hotel price through internet was Ok will help when they have a bus to take the customere where they want to be.

I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly and would stay there again without hesitation.
