Ligging.
The Orchard Garden Hotel ligt in de buurt van het strand in Nassau, dicht bij Fort Montagu, Cabbage Beach en Atlantis Aquarium. In de buurt liggen ook Aquaventure en Fort Fincastle.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in Nassau heeft een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. "Little Cottages in a beautiful garden"
We had a lovely stay in the “Orchard Garden Hotel” in Dec 2011. We found this hotel by chance via “hotels.com”. Originally we planned to stay for only one night, but we prolonged our stay for a couple of more nights, because we really liked the beautiful setting in the peacefull garden (little pink cottages, beautiful flowers and a nice pool area, where […] we frequently met other visitiors and the hotel owner for friendly chatter). The hotel staff was very nice. Quite handy was the fact, that we had an appartment with kitchenette (2 plates) and fridge, so we could cook our own meals and save a lot of money in the othewise expensive Bahamas. The hotel is located a little bit outside downtown Nassau. After also 3 nights right in downtown, we felt relieved to leave the busy, noisy downtown area and stay in the quieter area. The hotel is reachable by bus (stop right next to the hotel) or even better with a car! We always took the bus or walked! Not perfect, but totally practicable! Lees meer
Friendly staff. The advertised breakfast in the welcome manual no longer exists. The grounds are clean, but there was no hot water and the shower head only provided a trickle of cold water. The hotel is quite far away from downtown, but we were able to travel around quite easily by bus.
"Orchard Garden Hotel"
One of the cheapest hotels around. Everything was OK nothing really to complain about or excite me. The hotel is a bit out of the way, montagu beach is rubbish and paradise island was a 45 minute walk. Recommend the Poop deck for dinner and drinks (yes it is the called the poop deck) happy hour 5-7pm.
The stay was eventful and well enjoyed. However, the water treatment for bathing is too hard for me. Thanks
"Orchard Garden H in Bahamas - Avoid it at any cost"
We have a standard room, and this are just a few reasons for above title: - the toilet does not flush (even after our comment to the reception) - the cockroaches in the bathroom (after second killed, we left it on the floor so cleaning lady could see it - it stayed there for 2 days) - the tap in the bathroom doesn't work - no remote for the TV - maintenance […] and cleaning on unacceptable level, in room and everywhere outside - location: far if not going with a car - neighborhood: bad Look for accommodation on Paradise Island or minimum on the eastern part of the town (on a beach side between the airport and the downtown) Lees meer

The staff was very helpful an honest. Regrettably, our shower didn't work, but the manager fixed as soon as we brought it to his attention. International travelers may want to bring bottled water, because even though the tap water is potable, it doesn't taste too good. The location was convenient and the onsite taxi service was outstandingly attentive. […] We loved that we could walk right down to Fort Montagu Park Beach and experience the true Bahamas, from the locals' perspective. This hotel is really perfect for those that want the down-home Bahamian experience. Perfect for people that are anti-overpriced-all-inclusive-resorts-that-are-boring. Lees meer
"Calm Relaxing Stay"
I was in Bahamas for the first time and on a budget, I got this hotel for it's price and I'm very please with my stay there. I like to stay fit so walking works for me, which I did and most spots was a 20 to 30 minute walk including Paradise Island. I felt safe and relaxed, I recommend Cabbage Beach if you go.
"Don't waste your time or money!"
Hotel very inconvenient to everything. You'll have to pay $40 each way for taxi to/from airport. Property description is completely incorrect. Restaurant/Bar are closed (and have been for a considerable time)...therefore you'll have to pay $20 taxi just to get something to eat. Considering all of the taxi fees, you can stay in a quality property like […] the Sheraton for the same price! Also, I didn't appreciate the locals bringing their ladies of the evening to this hotel, which I got to watch while using the only internet wifi area just outside the reception office. Lees meer
"Pleased and surprised"
Having booked this little place as an overnighter on my dive trip with Blackbeard cruises I was very much delighted with the Bahaminan welcome and the helpfulness I received in regrads to finding my way around and transportation of my gear. The place was super clean and quiet, situated in an upscale neighborhood close to Montcalm beach and about 1 km […] from the boat dock. Ideal for people to sort out the gear before and after a trip or to spend a few extra days in Nassau sightseeing. Lees meer

"War vor 20 Jahren bestimmt mal schön..."
ist mittlerweile allerdings total herunter gekommen. Zimmer verschmutzt, Wände gefleckt, Mobiliar Sperrmüllreif, Alter RöhrenTV auf dem 1 sender lief, Bad voller Kalk, Schmutz und kleinen Spinnen, trotz selbst erstelltem "Please do not disturb" Schild (da gabs keins) donnerte es jeden Morgen um 9 an der Tür: "ROOOOOOOOOOOM SERVICE!!!!". Wirklich noch […] nie so etwas schlechtes erlebt (selbt bei einem Bruchteil des Preises) Jede Jugendherberge ist besser. Fazit: Nicht mal umsonst würde ich da nochmal übernachten. Lees meer
Ich würde sagen "eine Absteige" um gleich weiter zu reisen! Die Lage ist auch voll daneben und ohne Taxi geht garnichts und mit Taxi gehts nur im Dauerstau gen Stadt.
"Das Orchard Garden Hotel ist anders als erwartet."
Das Orchand Garden Hotel wuerde ich nur fuer Personen empfehlen die sich in Nassau ein eigenes Auto mieten. Mit oeffentlich Verkehrsmitteln ist es nur bedingt am Tag erreichbar, nach Sonnenuntergang ueberhaupt nicht mehr. Es liegt in keiner sicheren Gegend, was einem von Hotelangestellten auch bestaetigt wird. Da kein Hotelrestaurant zur Zeit unseres […] Besuchs geoeffnet hatte, wurde uns empfohlen lieber etwas liefern zu lassen, anstatt nochmal aufzubrechen. Das Hotel ansich ist in viele kleine Huetten aufgeteilt, hat einen kleinen Pool und viele viele Gehege fuer Tiere. Aufgrund der Tierhaltung riecht man sehr starkt den Geruch von Tierfutter und Tierexkrementen. Das Personal ist freundlich und konnte uns auf saemtliche Fragen auch Antworten geben. Im Allgemeinen waren wir mit dem Hotel zufrieden, jedoch wuerde ich aufgrund der unguenstigen Lage es nicht nochmal auswaehlen. Lees meer
