Hotel 81 Geylang in Singapore

Voor een 2* hotel is dit een redelijk goed hotel, waarbij je natuurlijk niet al te veel mag verlangen. Jammer dat er geen koelkast op de kamer is en er geen ontbijtfaciliteiten zijn. Voor de rest: prima voor kort verblijf in Singapore.

Hotel was very easy to find and accessble by walking from local MRT station. Maybe took 10 mins on foot with large bag and not knowing the way. Room was clean, but bedding has few rips. Room was small but ok for single person. Area as others have reviewed, but very safe as all singapore. Easy to get to city centre on MRT. Would recommend to others

Make sure you know what you're getting into before booking in this area. It's definitely "interesting" but ultimately harmless. For the area, this hotel is one of the better choices - free internet, good location, free water, rooms survivable (that's all you can reasonably expect in this price range in Singapore). Many guests mention that this hotel is in the Red Light District of Singapore. I didn't notice much of that. I found this hotel a cheap option in an area with many restanurant.

We needed a room for half night to catch a flight early morning. I quickly went on hotels.com ,looked for a cheap hotel near the base.This was marked 3.3 from hotels so we chose it. Got there and first thing I noticed was soooo many many single men walking in front of the hotel. got are room and it was tiny.. you walk in and bam beds in front of u..no […] room to walk around, theres a door that opens to bathroom which is almost the size of the bathrroom.no windows. We literally had to roll of and on to bed. Left the hotel to grab something to eat.. we were the only family walking the street...to my suprise hookers left and right getting in and out of cars men coming in and out of quickie sex shops ..totally grossed out. We had to hurry get some food to bring back to are room..ate it on are bed and went to sleep. All we can hear was cars and motorcycles all night.Left are hotel at 6am and to my amazement there were still lots of people outside.. Very convienient but wouldn't stay there if I had more time and money. Are is crawling with prostitutes which was amusing but wouldn't feel happy if I took children to the area. It was my 2nd time in Singapore. Just like the 1st time. I was really on a budget. Rather than book the hotel I booked before, I decided to try a different one. Since Hotel 81 is one of the cheapest out there w/ considerable number of decent reviews, I decided to book w/ them. I chose Hotel 81 Geylang since it was one of the cheapest and the accessibility […] to the MRT is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk, and you are already on your way to explore Singapore via their extensive MRT system. (Nice way to get around comfortably and some of the stations are near places of interest). The staff are very pleasant. Communicating w/ them is a breeze. They always greet you with a smile and present options for your needs w/o any hesitation. The hotel is quite small w/ only 5 floors and about 25 rooms per floor. Not sure but I think there is only one elevator that services the entire building. The building is clean and somehow well maintained. The room that I got is one w/ a queen-size bed. It was supposed to be for two but I feel that the room space is only sufficient for 1 occupant. Having 2 in the room would necessitate one walking around and the other just staying on the bed. The bathroom is a bit too small and compact for me. You can literally take a shower while sitting on the toilet. To think that my built is on the slim side and I still find the place too small, talks about the experience bigger people might have. Room amenities are decent as well. A Cabinet to store clothes w/ 4 hangers for your shirts and pants, and sufficient room still to become a shoe-rack. Blow dryer is a staple as well as an electric pot. TV is an antiquated CRT type w/ minimal available channels. Although the channel line up is much better than my previous hotel (on my prev review) due to the availability of Discovery, Star Movies, and an Australian Channel, it would be nicer to have more (e.g CNN, AXN, HBO, etc). We booked a room with hotel 81 Geylang and were told to check in at 2pm on that day. We were appalled to here that the rooms were full on that day,when we arrived after the timing. So much for booking the room and yet we are subjected to such treatment.. The receptionist even told us that the group of tourists that are overstaying cannot be 'misplaced' […] due to their delayed flights... It seems that they have overlooked their priorities and have forgotten about the other guests they have. Worst of all,they didn't bother to inform us earlier about their rooms being full. The rooms and its facilities are outdated, and its bed are uncomfortable. We are definitely not coming back again Lees meer

I stayed at this hotel when I moved to Singapore for a week while looking for long-term accommodation. Room was basic but clean, towels/bed changed daily. My room also was not noisy. Internet expensive. Red light district in the surroundings (though very safe). no newspaper , no laptop for internet,only one power outlet.when you ask question and need something the staff are not helping you

Hotel in Singapore is expensive. This hotel is right at the red-light district, it is the cheapest for the money. Service is ok, clean. But you cannot see what is outside, the window is cover with a blind which you cannot lift. Although it said it is a non-smoking place, you can smell smoking everywhere, a common problem in Asia, non-smoking rule is […] not observed much, renter beware. It is what you expect from budget hotel. Quite good price for Singapore. Red Light district neighbourhood but did not cause any problems.Varieties of Chinese ,indian restaurants near on high street and very convenient. Good for transit and short stay.

Nice hotel in a busy city yet computer access is difficult no wifi

With theses prices in Singapore you can't find nothing cheaper (doble room). It's impossible to hace breakfast there, they don't give you this service. The staff is friendly.

Hotel is good and i recommend this for those who have limited budget. i'll definitely come back to this hotel in the future espcecially if i have a tight budget.

I stayed at this hotel overnight after coming off a cruise ship. I had a flight the next morning. The room was small with a large comfortable bed and it was clean. It served its purpose very well.

クアラルンプールから日本に帰る際チャンギ空港に比較的近くて安いホテルとして選択しました。安ホテルですが清潔な感じはしました。泊まるだけなら純分です。フロントの対応も親切で無線LANの接続方法など丁寧に説明してくれたし、チェックイン前、チェックアウト後の荷物預かりもタダでやってくれました。

酒店位于老城区，周围建筑都是老建筑，人也比较多，吃饭很方便，满街都是，各种口味都有。价格相对也便宜。只是地处红灯区，小马路上有很多站街的，也有很多提供服务的店，虽然住的几天没有发生什么事情，但感觉很不安全。

酒店整體嘗算满意, 位處紅燈區, 不論早晚也會見到流鶯, 但她們是不會騷擾你的, 環境是舊區, 但算整潔, 酒店房間整潔, 如你只是要一個地方, 晚上可洗澡, 好好休息, 是一個相當不錯的選擇, 但距脽地鐵站銷遠, 大約要步行十分鐘, 而且没有指示, 拖着大行李會比較辛苦.

Las habitaciones dejan mucho que desear,ruido,sucias y poco cuidadas,muy pequeñas y sin servicio de toallas. La ubicacion queda algo lejos de las zonas por ver y cerca de la parada metro. Es una zona muy transitada y poco tranquila.

置屋地区ど真ん中で、こまめに体力回復にホテルに戻れたのでよかったてす。 アルジュニード駅ならも歩けます。 両替が空港が1Sドル58円に対し、ゲイランの両替所は63円でした。しかも土日はやすみ。 空港が一番レートがいいです。

F1シンガポールGPにあわせて宿泊しました。 ロケーションはEW9アルジュニード駅より徒歩10分ほど。入り組んでいるので初めてだと少々分かりづらいです。周りはごちゃごちゃしており歩道の段差も激しくスーツケースを転がして･･･はキツイかも･･･。 まずは空港からタクシーを利用し（約２０Sドル）荷物を部屋に置いて行動することをお勧めします。 このホテルの系列が多い為か、タクシーにホテル名を言っても中々通じません。ロード１６ゲイランのホテル８１と言った方が良いでしょう。 部屋は非常に狭くスーツケースを広げるスペースも無いほどですが、ベッドは清潔です。浴室はシャワーのみで便器が近いためびしょびしょに濡れます。 シャワーの圧が弱く遅い時間に入浴すると湯が出ない事もありますので注意が必要です。  […] 無料のWIFIはフロントに言えばパスワードをくれます。10Sドルと記載が有りましたが請求はありませんでした。 フロントスタッフはフレンドリーでこちらの要望も快く受けてくれました。 景観は「無･･･」カーテンで閉められ開けても隣の壁しか見えません。 廊下で話している客の声も聞こえるため部屋内で大きな声は出せません･･･。 近くには24Hコンビニや遅くまで開いている屋台等もあり食べるには困りません。 シンガポールのホテルの中ではトータルで価格相応といったところでしょう。カップルでの宿泊には適さないと思います。赤線地帯を理解してくれる寛容なパートナーなら問題有りませんが･･･ Lees meer

若您不太介意舊ㄧ點ㄉ飯店ㄉ話 倒是可以考慮它 81在牙攏地區算是很便宜ㄉㄌ 房間大小也跟其他家飯店差不多 這次我去新加坡住ㄌ三家飯店都是在此區 因此只要您不太挑剔 其實是可以接受ㄉ 他離風化區有點近 但我們每天回飯店就直接休息ㄌ 所以也沒有很在意 若您要帶小孩或晚上自己出門 避過去那些巷道就好ㄌ

シンガポールでこの価格なら不満は言えません。 ほんと、寝るだけのところです。 冷蔵庫もないし、シャワールームとトイレは同じでシャワー浴びるとトイレもビショビショ。 フロントも別に愛想が良いわけじゃなく（かと言って別に不満はない）。 周辺は置屋が多数ですが、ホーカーズも多く、安くて美味しいものがたくさん食べられます。 自分は寝るだけなんで、また利用してもよいかと思います。
