Hotel 81 Rochor in Singapore

I already stay in your hotel last week, normally is ok for that, but most important things is the room don't have window, that is the big problem, either morning or evening still don't know when you in the room.

I booked two nights here without knowing the my room would not have a window. This place is very inexpensive. Do not however expect it to be comfortable. My mattress was plastic topped, and the sheet was the kind without elastic so it easily slid off. Left me with a kinda gross feeling there, and was sweaty. Good price,but room too small

Stayed here for 2nights to attend a conference and watch Lion King (highly recommended). Chose this hotel for the low rate at a strategic location. This was our 5th time in SG and stayed in various locations and more luxurious hotels previously for leisure. Front desk personnel are responsive. Hotel is walking distance to Bugis train station, Lourdes […] Catholic Church, Little India eateries and right across Sim Lim. Room was windowless which was fine esp if you plan on sleeping in. Room is small but clean. There is a convenience store just beside the entrance. Location is convenient to getting around the city as its near the train station and a bus stop. Lees meer

The 81 is a budget chain hotel, after exploring the city I regretted choosing this branch, the Selegie Road and Middle Road branches are both closer to city centre are in better surroundings. Location is important when it's 32c with 80% humidity. As for this branch, they're building a new metro station right outside, I wouldn't recommend staying here […] until the station is open. Just crossing the road can take over 5 mintues as walk ways are blocked, pedastrians are inconvenienced to wait for every set of traffic lights while sweating under the sun. Lees meer

Hotel 81 Rochor the perks : - right in the middle of Little India and Bugis, very convenient - You have a choice which MRT station you can take and it's near the city center too. - near Arab Quarters too - service is quick and efficient (When we first arrived in our room, it was dirty - there were hair scattered all over the floor. I went down to the […] Front Desk and asked to have our room cleaned. After a few minutes, they sent someone who swept and cleaned our room. So, I give them points for service. Plus, every time we asked our room to be tidied, it was always done well. No repeat incidences of uncleanliness.) - safe negatives: - the room is small but it will do if you are out all day and then just need a room to sleep in it during the night (if i may add, not as small as I expected it to be though) - the room was dirty when we checked in (but it was alright during the next few days of our stay) - only provided 1 bottled water although our booking was good for 2 adults - no cable television - but it does have a dvd player the lowdown: This hotel is great for the budget traveler who wants a more private accommodation than a backpacker inn. It meets the basic necessities but doesn't have anything more special to offer. My experience was a pleasant one. I would stay in this hotel again. Lees meer

Hotel location is good for those who wish to discover Indian neighborhood. Walking distance to 2 main subway stations, one leading to Changi Airport, the other to city main attractions. in double rooms, no enough room spece to accomadate for 2 adults.

It seemed like a decent place at first, but while we were waiting for our room to be cleaned we started looking around at the other guests coming and going and came to the conclusion that 80% of them were construction workers and working girls renting rooms by the hour. (...some eves-dropping confirmed this) Now I'm not talking about one or two, but […] a constant stream of them; maybe 8-10 in the 15 minutes we were waiting. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, which may have had something to do with our experience, but regardless I would never go back here and don't recommend it to anyone (unless you're a working girl/guy too). シャワー室が覗けるのが気に入った。 しかし、男で泊まるならゲイランのホテル８１を推奨する。

ロケーションはよくまた部屋も狭いながらも 快適に過ごせました。 MRT　ブギスから１０分以内ですし　多分リトル・インデイアに歩いても近いしょう。 深夜まで開いている食堂も多くまたバーやコンビニも多く　安全で安く遅くまで遊べます。

한국 모텔만도 못하고요.. 당연히 아실거라 봅니다... 객실내에 냉장고가 없고... 바닥에 청소를 제대로 안했는지.... 머리카락이 깔려있었습니다... 그리고 냉방은 중앙이여서... 추워도 못끕니다... 인터넷은 무료로 주더라구요.... 다른데는 쓰기 힘든데... 뭐... 잠깐 쉬다갈 정도??

I stayed at Hotel Rochor for 2 nights when traveling through Singapore and it was super. Cheap and clean. The rooms are new and modern. You don't have a window, but I don't care to pay extra just to have a window when I'm not spending more time than I have to in the hotel room. I also stayed at the Hotel Dickson just down the street. Same chain. Also […] very recommendable. I'm glad I didn't listen to those who talk bad about the hotel. You don't see any prostitutes, like you imagine it. Street is as safe as any place and I didn't hear anything, but if you stay in a hotel you are quite likely to hear somebody have sex at one point. At least when the walls are thin as paper. as all walls in Asia are :) I will stay there on my way back to Singapore in Sept. Lees meer
