Tradewinds Apartment Hotel in Miami Strand

Heerlijk ruime woonkamer met veel gemakken. Ligbank ligt niet lekker door dunne kussens, maar zoveel hang je niet voor de tv toch? Keuken erbij die voorzien is van hele grote koel/vriescombi, fornuis, oven, magnetron en klein koffiezetapparaatje. Kleine badkamer met ligbad, wat helaas alleen als douche gebruikt mah worden (de stop is weggehaald). Maar […] met klein handoekje heb je zo een nieuwe stop gemaakt ;) Zwembad wordt netjes onderhouden en ook de omgeving wordt dagelijks bijgehouden. De kamermeisjes zijn niet allemaal even netjes/goed en komen niet elke dag. Maar heel erg is dat niet, tenzij je een dag hebt dat de handoeken wel zijn weggehaald, maar er geen schone voor in de plaats gelegd zijn. Aks je dit meldt bijd e balie, beloven ze meteen dat er nieuwe gebracht zullen worden. Jammer dat ze er niet bij vertelden dat het pas de volgende middag zou worden. Fietsen kun je gratis lenen, maar daar moet je wel om half 8 voor in de rij willen gaan staan (ze hebben 10 fietsen). Afgezien van enkele negatieve zaken in mijn commentaar zou ik je dit appartementenhotel zeker aanraden! Ohw, je kunt alles prima belopen vanaf hier. Supermarkt is stukje lopen, maar Walgreens zit om de hoek en het uitgaansleven en strand zijn prima te lopen! Lees meer

Prima locatie, zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Wel te ver om lopend de hotspots van Miami te doen. Dus taxi of auto. Enige minpunt is de zeer beperkte parkeergelegenheid dicht bij het hotel. Wel wordt valet parking aangeboden tegen $30/dag.

Geheel vernieuwd. Goed te bereiken. Dicht bij strand maar ook de winkels. Zeer schoon en wordt ook goed onderhouden. Echt aan te bevelen en de prijs is zonder meer reeel, zeer betaalbaar in vergelijking met omliggende overnachtingsmogelijkheden. Zeer aanbevelingswaardig.

The customer service was fantastic. The entire staff went above and beyond to satisfy. I have to commend especially Paola , Susan and Carlos. An impeccable staff! To say the least. I will make Tradewinds my home in South Beach. What a stella staff !!!!

Close to the beach, nice pool, great area to eat outside. The room was modern and had everything we need. The services was excellent, just ask they will provide. I was quite please with this facility. Clean, Quite and reasonably close toSouth Beach business area. The only complaint I had was trying to get the hotel staff to respond to a service call to change my TV remote control from spanish to english programming. After an hour I had to go to the front desk to get a channel listing and still didn't get the […] remote reprogrammed. Disappointed I had to wash my own dishes, of which there were no dish towels. Way beyond what I expected - the place was beautiful, modern, spacious - and all for a very affordable price. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to us. Only two complaints - the WIFI was horrible, which wasn't a huge issue but a minor inconvenience. The other complaint would be that you have to do your own dishes upon leaving. Again, […] not a huge deal but why are they going to clean your toilet when you leave and not your dishes? When you pay to stay somewhere with a kitchen you generally expect they will do your dishes when you leave (if you don't clean your dishes you will get charged $50) ... Didn't like the service. Had asked them for shower gel and it took over 2 hours for them to bring it to the room. Quite lethargic level of service. Stayed for over 7 nights and didn't get any refund for extra nights that i didn't stay.

When checking in, the front desk staff warned us that construction was taking place next to our room but assured us it should not be a concern because no one had complained about the noise. There was heavy construction taking place with a backhoe digging 10 feet from our back exit door, which was off of the bedroom. It was impossible to sleep. We complained […] but were told there were no other rooms available. Thankfully, there was no construction over the weekend so we only dealt with that noise 2 mornings during our stay. Also, we were in a first floor unit and the noise from the unit above was very loud and woke us up every night. (They were simply walking in their unit). You could tell the unit had been recently remodeled but it was done very poorly. Loose tub filler, missing grout, missing molding; no knife or hand towels in the kitchen, very inconvenient. Pool area was nice. We will not stay here again and we were very surprised by the high rating from Trip Advisor. Lees meer

Very large apt-room and served perfectly to our purpose. Kitchen a big plus and we have used it. The sofa at the living room also very convenient. Got an upgrade from a Studio to a 1 bedroom, didn't even had to ask. I was very pleased with the accommodations and the only bad thing i have to say is that the hotel has extremely limited parking. I paid $30 to park overnight at a nearby garage.

I have been to many five stars hotels, but this hotel is one of the best. My wife and my two kids loved the hotel and felt like home.The room has a sofa bed in the living room, full kitchen (microwave, oven,big fridge, cooking supplies), bedroom with nice bed, two flat TVs (one in the living room and another one in the bedroom), dining area,big closet, […] iron, and much more. The room is cleaned everyday except the bathroom. The furniture is so nice and comfort and the kitchen includes all the supplies (e.g. pans, plates). Many people complained about the parking, but i think it is an issue in the whole city and you can park your car for 20 dollar a night and this is the same price you will pay in ocean drive hotels. The hotel is located in a safe area and there is a gas station with a small grocery store. Lincoln Road is a few blocks away and the same beach is not far . I think the only problem with the hotel is the hotel fees (15 dollar per night) because no one told me about any payable fees. However, most of the hotels in Miami charge a fee per night. I will stay in this hotel in the future Lees meer

Nice hotel. Spacious and clean. Enjoyable and pleasant stay. The Internet was not stable. Parking was not included ($20 per day). Also, they charged me resort fees every day even though I did not use the pool and anything else. All these added up!!

I found myself stranded in Miami due to bad weather at home. I booked a three night stay at the TradeWinds because they offered a great price and free shuttle from the airport. I was able to do laundry onsite, cook my own meals, and enjoy the lovely pool. The staff are very friendly, the property is very well kept and they offer free happy hour from […] 7-8pm at three of the sister hotels. They have bikes for rent but you have to place your reservation early, as they are quite popular. I read all the reviews about this hotel before I booked it and was very pleased I did. The price was unbeatable. The location is two blocks away from the beach, but everything was easy to walk to. The hotel has an awesome shuttle service and the driver was always willing to take us further than the planned route. I booked a studio and was given a full 1 bedroom. The unit itself was fabulous - roomy, comfortable and clean. The hotel is just a few blocks from the beach, but about a mile from the Lincoln Road pedestrian mall, and not much of interest between the two. The major drawback to this hotel is the parking. We stayed here for three nights and chose this place because of the previous ratings which all seemed positive. However we were not very impressed with the staff or overall cleanliness of the room. It looked the part with Art Deco furniture and neatly displayed towels, but we had a cockroach in our room and when we alerted the man on front desk he told […] us he could not move us, and that he would call the exterminator who would be round the next morning. No exterminator came, and the problem was not acknowledged by the hotel again. Additionally the laundry service is done by a card which you not only have to buy for the price of $2.00 but the machine you purchase it from does not take one dollar bills, or coins. Therefore you are forced to buy $3.00 of credit. If you are only staying here a short time, this is certainly not worth it. It is however in an ok location, but wouldn't recommend for lone travellers as have to walk a couple of backstreets on the way home at night. If we were to stay on south beach again, I would choose somewhere actually on Collins Avenue or better still Ocean Drive. Lees meer

Powerful air conditioners in the rooms was key for our August getaway. Kitchen comes with pots and pans and everything but a knife to make your own meal (I bought a $2 one at a nearby supermarket). Location is perfect for couples who want to stay in a quiet area but be just a walking distance away from the nightlife and plenty of bars/restaurants. This is best for extended living condtions. 1 week or more the only problem was the construction of the streets. make sure you have the housekeeping come in the early am or you will not get service. The parking is an adddtional expense but overall a good place to stay. I will stay again if I have an extended stay.

A very relaxing little oasis after attending a trade show at the convention center. Since I was there for a week, I appreciated the full kitchen to keep some basics on hand and not have to go out for every meal. The staff was very helpful. Free shuttle to and from the airport.

These apartments are two blocks from the beach, without the by-the-beach expensive hotel rates. Nice rooms, with kitchen included, two big TV's, i-pod station/radio, free wi-fi. Only one problem: the room was not cleaned one out of 5 days. One convenience store is one block away, and a Walgreen's is two blocks away. Two blocks from Collins Ave. where […] you can get on a bus and go everywhere. Within walking distance from the Holocaust Memorial, the Botanical Garden; about six blocks away from Lincoln Road Mall.
