I would recommend this hotel simply due to its location. Very short walk to Chalong Pier bars and restaurants, but also a short taxi ride to Rawai and Nai Harn Beach. I don't like Patong for any more than a day at a time, but when we did choose to go there it was 25mins in a taxi. In relation to the hotel itself, the staff were surly and unhelpful. […] Everything we asked was made out to be a hassle for them and they would barely acknowledge your existence throughout the day. They cleaned the rooms daily, but left certain parts uncleaned. Dishes or cups left dirty near the sink etc. We actually arrived and went to make a coffee and there was still the remnants of coffee in the mug we were about to use. The room we got is not the size of the room pictured. It was a single room with bathroom, not the divided bedroom/lounge room pictured. The pool is nice, but the surrounding furniture is falling apart and always scattered around the pool area instead of maybe in an order for people to sit together. The kitchen was closed the whole time we stayed there so can't comment on the food except that we wished we could've got room service at times. Luckily there are lots of nice places to eat in the vacinity. All in all, considering the price we paid, it was fine. You spend most of your day out and about anyway and as a place to rest your head it did its job in relative comfort. Lees meer

Nice hotel,with friendly enough staff..maintenance came straight away when the toilet blocked. The Hotel is close to the main strip in Chalong pier and its pubs,with the best pub in Phuket there "The Golden Bar" and its friendly owner Nan. I wanted a hotel close to the pier from which I would embark the next morning. This hotel is located in Rawai, which is a 700THB trip from the airport, and a little hard to find. Be sure you have the hotel's contact info for the driver. The condition of the hotel was very comfortable and offered wonderful amenities including continuous, secured wifi, […] a clean bathroom with a continuous stream of hot water, and a soft, cozy bed. There is a nice balcony, but the view overlooked a residential trash pile with a glimpse of the road in the distance. Although comfortable, do not stay here as a base unless you want to be away from other hotels and destination points and don't mind paying little transportation costs that add up over time. Also, do your research about what you want to do and where you want to go before you arrive because the staff were both uninterested and unhelpful in offering suggestions or giving approximate costs. The Ratana is a great little hotel, we originally booked 5 nights and ended up staying 8! The staff, especially the cleaning staff where fantastic, the rooms where kept impeccably and done when you ask for it to be done. We felt safe leaving our possessions in the room there and nothing went missing, even change left laying around. There was one guy […] at reception who wasn't as friendly, helpful or efficient as the other staff but overall this place is excellent value, in a good location if, like us you like the Rawai / Chalong areas. The hotel was pristine (almost brand new) with VERY nice rooms. The staff were extremely helpful. The location wasn't ideal (we had to walk a long while to find a good restaurant) but was perfect for an overnight stay on the way to Koh Phi Phi Don. The pool and fitness room were nice as well.

detta hotel e lgh hotell !!! bra rum med mycket bra renlighet. hotellets läge mycket bra. hyde moped på hotellet vilket va en fördel så jag kunde ta mig runt i området !! nära till båtar som tar dig vart du vill. ett minus var att jag bokat frukost men hotellets resturang va stängd då jag var där ej heller fans det bar vid poolen som det stog i beskrivningen […] !! men det fans ett stort utbud av bra resturanger i området som man lätt kan ta sig till. mucket nöjd med min vistelse på detta hotell !! Nød opholdet på hotellet. Lækre senge og dyner. Udmærket badeværelse og aircondition fungerer. Hotellet ligger okay i forhold til Chalong pier, men dårligt for alt andet.

Har bott här förr så jag visste vad jag kom till ,hadde otur med hissen som var trasig i en vecka och vill man ha gäster bör man byta ut solmöbler annars helt ok.

Detta hotell ligger en bit från piren i Chalong. Vi var bara här i 2 nätter, billigaste hotellet vi bott på i Phuket men långt ifrån det sämsta. Poolen är visserligen ganska liten, men vi var alltid ensamma där. Lite minus att det inte ingår frukost och att dom inte har en riktig restaurang, men det fanns en market i samma hus och 7/11 längre bort på […] gatan. Det fanns väldigt lite shopping i närheten men en del restauranger ner mot piren. Tips på utflykter: Chalong temple, Phuket Zoo som båda ligger i närheten. Eller hyr en liten båt med "chaufför" för en billig peng vid piren. Kan tyvärr inte säga något om stranden för vi kom aldrig dit, men antar att det är en bit bort, man kan inte bada vid piren. Vi bokade 4 nätter på Ratana och förväntade oss inte alltför mycket av hotellet. Vi blev därför överraskade av hotellets renlighet, rummens kvalitet och personalens professionalism. Allt fungerade jättebra och man bor nära Piren vid Chalong om man vill åka ut till öar som Coral Island och Raya Island. Maten på hotellet var helt ok och likaså gymmet. […] Poolen var ren och bra. Dessutom finns en väldigt bra supermarket i samma byggnad. Enda nackdelen som jag ser det är att det var väldigt långt till någon strand. Men det kan man lösa med antigen Tuk Tuk eller taxi. Ihan hyvä hotelli, katolla pieni uima-allas ja muutama aurinkotuoli sekä ravintola, jonka valikoima tosin oli erittäin suppea. Huoneet siistit, meillä siivottiin ja vaihdettiin pyyhkeet vasta myöhään iltapäivällä mutta saa varmaan sovittua aikaisemmaksi respan kanssa. Alakerrassa marketti josta saa hankittua aamupalaa, juomista ja pureskeltavaa huoneeseen. […] Hotellissa on myös paljon pitkäaikaisasukkeja. Alue ja hotelli on venäläisten suosima. Uimarantaa ei Chalongissa ole mutta sopii hyvin välietapiksi saarille matkaaville ja suomalainen sukelluskeskus sijaitsee vain muutaman sadan metrin päässä hotellista. Alueella muutama kiva ravintola, shoppailemaan kannattaa suunnata Phuket Towniin, jonne pääse kätevästi ja edullisesti paikallisbussilla. Lees meer

Hotellet i sig var i mycket bra skick. dock låg det längre från stranden än vad vi hade förväntat oss. De som vill ge sig ut på öutflykter är detta det bästa hotellet att bo på. Ligger nära piren. Det vi upplevde var det bästa med att bo på Ratana är att man kom nära lokalbefolkningen och bofasta utlänningar som flyttat hit för att dyka. Nära till både […] lugn och party. Lees meer

L'hotel RaTaNa est situé à Chalong, près de la marina. La plage n'est pas proche mais vous pouvez louer un scooter pour 5€/jour dans l'hotel. Les environs ne sont pas très beau (notre chambre donnait sur un espèce de bidonville...d'autres chambres donnent sur la piscine). Cependant, pour le prix l'hotel est très bien: neuf et très propre, les chambres […] sont très belles et la piscine très agréable. l'hotel est au calme, avec un supermarché à proximité. Bardzo fajny hotel z fajnym basenem i naprawde zadbanymi i czystmi pokojami z wifi w pokojach. Mila i przyjemna obsluga. Spacerkiem 10 min do "mola" ktore jest chyba dluzsze niz w Sopocie. Mycket trevliga personaler som hjälper till med allt. Hotelet är jätte finnt ganska modern. Stor köp center nära tar 5 min att gå till där finns det restaurang massage aktiviteter bank och mm. Vi var mycket nöjda stor tack till hottelet och hotels.com en av de bästa hotelet vi har varit på.
