"Nice hotel on the Beach"
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were given an end king room that was huge. We had a view of the front, side and balconey on the back facing the ocean. ps all rooms have the ocean view balconey. The room had robes and a chaise lounge. On a 10 day road trip, this was my favorite room. We had a coffee pot, and fridge but no microwave. Also no free […] breakfast but a resturant on site. sorry we never ate there. The only downside and this was my fault for not noticing, I did not get reward points for this place. very friendly and hotel was clean. Lees meer
"The Island House Hotel"
Very nice hotel if you are not a smoker. Couldnt even smoke on the balcony. If caught, you're card would be charged an outrageous amount. Also there was no microwave or refrigerator.

"Christmas Get-away"
The Island House Hotel was a good hotel overall. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were given a "penthouse" room on the 9th floor. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and furnishing were in good condition. Plumbing was lacking though. Bathroom faucet was difficult to turn off and the tub was a very slow drain so that you were […] ankle deep in water by the end of a shower. The Wifi in the room was ok but not for an iPad. On a laptop it kept a connection. It wouldn't on an iPad. The restaurant served breakfast and lunch only. We only ate their once for breakfast. The food was very good food but the decor is dated. The lobby furnishings had stained cushions. Biggest thing: Don't go to Gulf Shores area at Christmas! The majority of the area restaurants are closed and the hotel only had 4 rooms occupied. I would consider staying at the Island House Hotel again but before I did, I would look at other options in the area. There was nothing about our stay there that was a standout experience. Lees meer

We stayed there during the National Shrimp Festival and really enjoyed the hotel. Island House Hotel was right on the beach, close to popular dining restaurants, and popular night-life spots while remaing very affordable. The hotel restuarant and lounge had great food and drinks also with room service available. The staff was very friendly, helpful, […] and courteous. Our room was very clean and offered a spectacular balcony view of the Gulf, and a breathtaking sunrise and sunset. We will definitley stay here again and recommend Island House Hotel to all our friends! Lees meer

I have nothing but good things to say about the Island House Hotel on Orange Beach in Alabama. The hotel was very nice, th eroom was flawlessly clean, the staff was curtious and the view was fantastic. Our only complaint was the fact that we booked through hotels.com a corner penthouse room. when we got to the hotel we were told that these rooms were […] not available and was put into a center penthouse. Now, the room we stayed in was very nice. We we quite pleased yet disapointed that we could not have the room that we were told was awaiting us. "Island House Hotel Gulf Shores, AL"
Great location. Really nice staff. However, we were right next to the elevators and heard the noise from the elevator all night long. It was not loud, but annoying at times. The room was handicap accessible which we did not need so the shower head was too low for my husband. If the hotel had not been full, I would have asked for a different room. Older hotel, with a beautiful view, but not nearly as nice as it could be with a little work.
"Island House Hotel - Affordable, gorgeous beach"
Very pleasantly surprised by the hotel since I know it's been around awhile. Fabulous location, very clean and comfortable rooms. Pools clean and sparkling, and the beach is right there. Would be nice to have mini-fridge, but a great value for the money. I would stay again, and I recommend it.

This was my second stay @ this hotel. It was very nice the first time and the same this time. I will be returning to this hotel on my next visit.
